More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Justine moaned softly. Squeezing her eyes shut for a moment she smiled softly at the sound of Gigdet's voice. "Heeey." Her voice was soft and somewhat sleepy as she turned her head towards her. "How did it go?"

Gidget chuckles at Justine's drowsy voice. "It would seem that the eyes have done their job. They've rebuilt your ocular muscles and have attached to the optic center of your brain. Right now you may be feeling your eyes moving involuntarily. That is because they are trying to work the atrophy out of your ocular muscles. That will stop in the next few hours. It will also take some time for them to calibrate to the electrical impulses of your optic center. After that it will be a matter of whether your body decides to treat them like a foreign substance and attack them. The odds of that are slim, though, because the jelly encasing the eyes is a type of smart jelly. Utilizing stem cells, it adapts itself to your genetic code. All in all, it will take until about dinner time tomorrow for the process to finish."

"Hmm." Justine nodded somewhat. It felt odd. Like... well... She didn't really know how to explain it. Like... opposite of the last time she had woken up from surgery. And, she knew, that for a while, it would feel wrong. She curled her fingers a few times and smiled. "You're amazing. You know that, right?" She laughed softly.

If Gidget could, she would be blushing. She laughs nervously and rubs the back of her neck. "Oh it wasn't all me. I had the best mind map out the brain for me so I could adapt electronics and mechanics to adapt to mental synapses. All I did was build the things."

Gidget ponders for a moment, hesitates, then says, "I think I'll show him what his mind has done once you are fully ready to use your eyes. He could use some positive feedback."

"Now, the bandage has to stay on until six pm tomorrow. If you take it off before then, the muscles will tear because they haven't been fully developed yet. Once tomorrow evening hits I'll tell you all about how your eyes work."

She nodded somewhat. Keeping the bandages on wasn't a problem for her. They were kind of like a safety blanket at this point. She had only been 'Blind' for a short while, but it was strange how quickly one picked up on it. She hoped that it would be the same in reverse. "So...." She paused for a moment. "What next? Food sounds kind of good..."

She smiled at him brightly, the light returning to her eyes. "That would be wonderful!" She seemed to almost be beaming. Brushing her hair back behind her ears she made her way inside. "Well, go ahead and find a space for yourself and then we'll try to make you feel at home.

"Alright then" After a short period of not too intensive searching he found a place for him. Not too big not too small.Perfect. Nice view as well.Furniture was still there. Sure not "new" but it'll do for now.
"Just perfect! I'd make you some tea but...I don't have any." Theonis joked."Guess I need to get me some supplies. It can wait though. Are there any places need really need to be checked out? "

"Several." She started. "Most of them are a little further into the district. The further back the less chance any of the project people will find their way here. But I wouldn't want to put you out on your first day here." She smiled at him somewhat. "I'll stop by later tonight with some things." She began to turn to leave.

She nodded somewhat. Keeping the bandages on wasn't a problem for her. They were kind of like a safety blanket at this point. Gidget's eyes widen with surprise. "Wow, I've never seen anyone recover from an anesthetic so quickly. I didn't think you'd want to eat until six a.m.

There's a lounge area where you can grab some grub. Sound good?"

She shrugged somewhat. "I've always been like that." She laughed softly as she slowly lifted her body to sit upright. She frowned somewhat as she held out her hands in front of her to feel for anything. She felt.. well.. really blind. She turned her head to listen for where things were, but all she felt was lost. She sighed softly. "I think I'm going to need some help getting around for a little while." She said softly,. almost ashamed of herself.

Gidget takes a hold of Justine's hand and guides her to the lounge. She is excited to see Trinity with Deora and Kerana. She waves excitedly at them as she approaches and says, "Hey everyone, looks like things have calmed down quite well."

The Count of Monte Carlo

"Well I think I can believe the stealthy part; I sure wasn't expecting that welcome." Deora said with a chuckle. As she started to tell about her own changes, the bartender came back with a glass of coke on ice. "At first i was just faster and stronger. I thin my Padre knew something was up when I started beating by older brothers at just about every sport. My other uh, gift is that I can control liquids. I'm not very good at it, though; I've been trying to keep it secret."

"There's no need to keep it secret here. As long as you use your power within the facility it will be kept secret.". She looks toward the entrance and sees Gidget enter with Justine, "Glad you could join us Gidget! Sure everything has calmed down, but that is no reason to let your guard down. I had the researchers take a closer look of what remained of the thing and having them scan the facility for any more. I hate to think what trouble could be caused if there was more than one of them." she took a look at her wine swirled it a bit and sipped it. Drinking wine was a red flag to Gidget that pointed out that she was trying go calm her nerves.

"Hold on, haven't even gotten your name yet. I'm Theonis by the way.Yeah odd name I know but then again my parents were kinda strange in a good way." He said as he approached her." And if you don't mind me accompanying you I'll tag along. It's not like I got anything else to do plus it's nice to have someone to talk to while exploring this place."

Gidget leads Justine over to a seat and sets down next to her. She takes note of Trinity drinking wine. She frowns a little and looks at her long time friend. "Well as long as it's dead. Your text said that it had been torched. I'm guessing North did that?"

Almost on cue, North leaves the bar at the mention of his name. That's fine by him though. He knew enough to formulate a plan. Now it was just a matter of putting things in motion.

"Yep." she noticed North at the corner of her eye, "... and speak of the devil it looks like he's heading out. Just glad I was able to do something to protect him. Imagine what it would do if it got a hold of his power." she took another sip of her wine.

Gidget nods and watches North leave. Something in her mind scratches at her danger sense. She shakes it off, thinking that it is nothing more than the stress of what she had to do earlier. She turns back to Trinity and asks, "Is there anything else you can think of about that little blob that I should know?"
