Niph - Ah forces >.<
I'm currently learning that...I find it hard to solve problem using the formulaes D8

B&B - We don't have double..
We have either normal or psyhcology apart from triple~
I don't know much about the modules .____.;;
I heard that they changed something~

Well, taking Chinese and other languages apart from Spanish, French and German are only available for year 11's at the moment =/
And I was gonna take Chinese GCSE, cos I had a chat with one of the teachers last year, but I have to know how to read and write too Dx
And then there's all these portugese people that got awarded for getting A's and A*'s cos they know portugese ¬_______¬

And I got my review scores today.

A in Chemistry
B in Physics
E in Biology

I guess I'm alright with Chemistry at the mo.
Cos my last paper was about Air quality...which is mainly logic based I guess =/
And I'm doing fine with the periodic tables so far~

Since I got an E in Biology, the teacher gave me a 3 for effort >.>*

Ooh, an E for Biology. xp Does that mean you have to sit a make-up assessment? I presume D is the pass mark for the subject, and E means you've failed right?

Cos this is like a mini test just to see how well we are doing.

And yeah, probably failed...but one of my friends got an F in Chemistry xD;;

I did a little research about the GCSE and found out the lowest pass mark is a G!!!! xd I asssume that's around 20%. Below G is U, which basically means total fail. With that many different grades, I'd think it'd be damn hard for anyone to actually fail their GCSE, unless they're total slackers. lol

Generally the sort of.. unofficial "just about acceptable" line is a C, and "halfway decent" is B, and "good" is A, and "yaaayness" is A*.. hehe. A very common way, for example, of placing schools in a league table (this system is crap, though) is by "percentage of students who gained 5 or more A*-C grades".

GCSEs sucks anyway @_@ I only did french because i got forced to..
going to fail it. 100% fail it, and i think you could have done chinese..

since its only GCSE it will be only basic things you need to learn... nothing harder than drawing a bunch of stick people really but kinda too late now? X] as for science, you're doing the Triple science course right? @_@ I love that thing...3 GCSEs just for some easy science...biology is my weak point too XD And um. is the E in biology from the exams?

You might do it differently, but we take units of Physics, Chemistry and Biology and do them throughout the year :] on my test i got um..

Physics A
Chemistry A
Biology B

Sadly this is all unit 1 stuff which was easy @_@

Unit 2 stuff is hard
and um trust me, the exams are really easy and straight forward @_@ most of what you need is in the test so you just have to make sure you read through all over your notes and focus on points you're weak on...dont do what i did XD i worked really hard on a section that ended up not being on the test ._. GCSE = Standard Certificate for Sitting an Exam which means SLACK OFF ALL YEAR AND REVISE ALL NIGHT FOR EXAMS if you're fail like me Xd.




K NOW I RANT!

Kay so i love this girl alot, when we're going out we have nothing to say each other.

When we're not going out we have too much to say to eachother.

I like this other girl who i have too much to say to and vice versa 24/7 And I like her -alot- too but psychologically speaking i might be doing some self sabotage stuff?

Like there are alot of reasons why i shouldn't <3 her face off but there are way more reasons to <3 her face off because she is

awesome.

She is..really unique and doesnt act like -anyone- i've known in my entire life. I suppose since i dont know her at all or what she's like despite having talked to her for about 6/7 hours a day for a week regularly scares me abit?

Fortunately for me and Sin, the education systems we have (each state has a different grading system) are much simpler than the convoluted GCSE. There's only seven different grades: A+, A, B, C, D, E and F.
D is the general pass mark for most subjects, which equates to 50%. In only extreme cases do people with Es in their exams actually pass and F is a total fail. That's for the exams and assessments. For the general overall assessment of a subject, each student gets a score out of 50. The average study score is 30, whilst anything above 40 is exceptional. In addition, there are certain subjects which give bonus points because of their extra diffifulty. Chinese for instance, adds on 15 extra points on top of the raw score.

@mini: dude... ap exams are so confusing. There's 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 for most subjects and I heard some exams actually go up to 9!! o.O but in general 3 is passing but some schools don't accept 3's. My school required a 4 to be exempt from some classes but I only got a 3 so... i came in with no credits, but for state run schools 3s are good enough. 1 is the lowest possible score.

It's true that CH's explanation is overtly complex and ridculously over the top. xd
But I'm of the opinion that the VCE I studied under and the HSC that Sin studied under are simpler than your GCSE. There's not as many grades in our system as yours. We don't have the mumbo jumbo of double or triple Chemistry or whatever. There's far less subjects to choose from (Only our core subjects and languages are similar. The technology, humanities and society-based subjects you have are all coalesced into one subject each.) Finally there's not split-tier examiniation system. Every single student is ranked according to percentage, which means there will be a large cluster of really smart people (like me mrgreen ) who score in the high 80% and beyond, and then the remainder tend to fall in the 60-70% mark. I've never actually heard of anyone scoring below 50% in overall assessment.
