"What? I like guys, so sue me!" Eden stuck her tounge out at Keilantra, then laughed. "Besides, which would you rather have: Me talking about guys all the time, or me hitting on you all the time? Think about it. In the meantime, lets go get some lunch."

Karin sighed, then slowly turned away from Sehrun, tail wrapped tightly around her waist and ears drooping horribly. "I'... see you later," she sighed as she began walking. She went to the fountain and perched on the edge for a moment, knees pulled to her chest as she crouched on the edge. She peered at her reflection through her left eye, the right covered with her hair. She glanced over as she saw the butterfly she'd made of water still hovering beside her head and she smiled weakly as she stood again. "You'll keep me company, right?" she asked it softly as she began trudging towards the ancient forest, head bowed. "I just realized... I've missed Kana's birthday." She let a small almost whimper escape from her throat, but managed to bite the rest back, as she left the courtyard.  

[Cainnon]

Standing he turned sharply and offered his free hand to her, the other tucking munchkin into his vest pocket. Of course Munchkin didn't take lightly to it and was flopping about to get out only to find the lip of the vest pocket closed by Cainnon's fingers. He smiled and bowed his head.

"Madam. Would ya like ta join me for something ta eat?"

He figured he should ask before she heard the loud rumble that was about to present itself.  

[Alef]

Alef looked at his hand for a moment before taking it and standing up. "Sure, I am quite hungry myself." She smiled, amused at the little ball of fluff attempting to escape the pocket. It had been awhile since she had eaten food from here. It was always from somehwere else or brought with her.  

[Cainnon]

He smiled and helped her up, pulling her hand to the crook of his arm. Chilvary may be dead but so long as he was alive it was still kicking! He nodded quickly and paused a moment then leaned his head downward somewhat as if sheepish.

"Um...where to?"

[Alef]

Alef smiled and looked towards the gates of the courtyard. "The Dining Hall?" She questioned, not knowing of any other place where they could go to get something to eat. It wasn't far from here, and from what she knew, the food was pretty good as well.  

[Cainnon]

He laughed sheepishly and nodded like a fool. Geh he felt like a fool! Should of been listening better when the andriod was telling him directions.

"Sure sure! Um...could ya lead the way...please?"

Alef gave a slight nod, and pulled him gently towards the gates. It wouldn't be hard to get there. She figured he had either not been there yet, or simply forgot how to get there. She remembered being lost all the time the first few days, but it got easier. "Right this way kind sir." She said in a mock proper-like voice.

As she led him through the courtyard, she thought of her question. It was something she had ben thinking of for a long time. Well, practically since she had noticed Taqune getting close to her. "Taqune. If it was 'easy' for you to fall in love with such a person as myself, what is to stop you from falling out of love with me?" That was her greatest fear. A fear that would come true if she kept being so distant. She looked at the ground as they walked, and whispered when she spoke. Her tail hung low to the ground and nearly dragged behind her.

Taqune looked at her with a calm and gentle face his eyes partly closed. He understood her fear he had that fear as well but in another time and place. He gathered his thoughts and answered her question."It was easy for me to fall in love with you Serika, but not because you were easy in the sense that you say. It is more in the sense that we are much alike and that I find it easy to talk with you and to be with you. And to what would keep from falling out of love is love itself. I was told to move on by Gaela and to care and protect my next love to her, and I will honor her last wish for me." He took her hand and gave a squeeze," So don't worry about me falling out of love,I will be in for the whole nine yards, Serika my love."

After his kind words he look at her and pulled her chin to where she would be looking at him, his eyes locked into hers,"Your staying with me for as long as you want to be with me." He then kissed her with a quick peck on the lips. Then they would continue on.

Serika listened as he spoke, realizing that she truely did have nothing to worry about with Taqune. "I think you are right. Even if we didn't care about each other, in such terms as we do now, I'm sure we would have still run across each other in some form or fashion. I think we would've been at least friends." She felt comforted when he squeezed her hand.

When he kissed her quickly, she felt her face heat up. Not with anger, but she was till uneducated when it came to something like this. Love, in any sense, had never fully been explained to her. Sure when Lydia brought home men from bars, she told Serika that she had fallen in love, but never did Lydia bring them back again. A false love isn't love, no matter what you say, or how badly you want to believe it.

"Is there anything else you want to ask me?" Taqune sounded curious not demanding.He waited on her to think up another question if she had one other wise he would ask one himself.

"Serika,love, I give the same question to you. How did I get in to you so fast? I mean how did i get past the barrier that you had clearly put up to shut out the world. I am just curious to know, nothing is ment by it." He was truely curious about this. His tail was swaying quickly.  

[Eternally Gone]

"No, nothing comes to mind." Serika replied slowly. There really wasn't anything else that she wanted to ask at the moment. If there was, she would be sure to tell him. That question had been haunting her for some time.

Thinking hard before answering his question, she looked up at him. "You weren't put off my outward appearance when most are, and even when I was coarse to you, you persisted. And you helped me with my problem of being in public...not many people would have had the patience. I guess that was the final thing that helped me let you in. You are so kind to me." She said watching the ground first, and then looking back at him, her tail starting to sway.
