Okay, my school band helps represent St. Pius X High in Houston, TX. We're a feeder school band sponsored by Bravo School of Music. Our school is St. Jerome. I play xylophone/bells. This year I'm in Advanced Band, and actually, our Advanced Band, St. Pius X's Advanced Band, and other feeder schools' Advanced Bands just played this year's Annual Band Night at a St. Pius football game just last night. We had to march and play (these are just a few of them) Disturbia by Rhianna, (excuse me if I spelled her wrong) Gonna Fly Now and Eye of the Tiger from the movie "Rocky," and the Star Spangled Banner. Sadly it rained, so we marched in the gymnasium. Anyway, our school colors are blue and gold, and for us feeder schools, we just wear a white long-sleeve button-down shirt and black pants. Our school mascot is a bulldog.

well. we have about 40 some-odd members in the band, which is almost twice the number we had last year. we have a billion flutes, seven or eight clarinets, three saxophone (two altos, one tenor) about five tumpets, one trombone, one bass clarinet, two tubas, six percussionists, one french horn, someone playing the oboe parts on a violin, and me on the bassoon...and a few other people I don't remember
We don't do much. The choir went carolling at a "festival Of Lights" parade last night, that's about it...

Dublin High School. No were not from Ireland. My band is called the Irish Guard, Our colors are red, white, and blue. Even though Dublin was founded by Irish people. The school mascot is Gaels. I had no idea what a gael was until i entered freshmen year during homecoming rally. Our uniforms are hand me downs from st. mary's. The jackets are red and blue, gauntlets are red, shoes are black, bucket helmets are blue with the letter D in gold, and a white plum. We kind of look like people from Star Wars without our bucket helmets. But by my junior or senior year were going to get new uniforms. A white helmet covered with a mohawk featers, white and blue jacket with wings on the chest, white pants with a strip of blue or i think red, i really can't remeber how the pants are going to look like. Well anyways. This year our group is about 50 to 60 members I think with colorguard we have about 60. Probably by next year we'll be doing halftime shows, basketball games, festivals, and traveling around our state and other states. We are gradually going to make our way back into a group that at least other highschools know that we are here to compete. biggrin

chaudblaze I'm a flute in the Mighty Eagle Band of Rowlett High School in Rowlett, TX. The marching band size (everything included) is roughly 250 and getting bigger every year due to the fact that most of the other schools in the district are located in Garland, with one in Sachse. Still, we're fairly successful at competitions, although we had a mishap last year at a prelims/finals contest. Oh well...we'll just make it up next year (Area/State level competition is every 2 years for TX). School Colors: We're heavy on maroon, black, and white. Not so much on navy, although it is technically a school color. Uniforms: Go here to see pictures of it. We should be due for new uniforms soon though (hopefully next year as I'm currently a junior). If you want to see some of Rowlett's shows, there's plenty on youtube. I think almost all of our competition performances are recorded and put on there (usually by the next day). I live in Garland, too! I go to Austin right now, and I'm gonna go to Garland High School next year.
Our band doesn't do many things for pep band. We went to around 5 in the football season, but we focus mainly on our concert music. There isn't any marching band in middle school here. Our band shirts are green. Our concert attire is a white dress shirt, green vest, black slacks, black shoes, and a bow tie. We don't get much done in class because the back half of the room is full of people who couldn't care less about band. We would be much better if our director would kick them out of the honors band. I'm the first chair clarinet.
