_ [ We need a name ] Ugh, I could already tell we were going to have a dreadfully mind numbingly boring time. I assume that was a bit harsh but the circumstances of me being stuck with this serious Pokémon was terrible; though I guess I could try and be a bit creative. “You know what you need, a name. I like Leandro, sounds very soothing and just rolls off the tongue. What do you think? Hmm, like the name?” After he was silent for a moment I got the hint, this Pokémon would be a tough one to bond with, but so long as he listens to my orders we’d get along fine. The day wore on and the grass beneath my feet began to make a crunching sound, as though it were beginning to break like it hadn’t rained for awhile. “Not enough rain huh? Poor grass, oh well though right, life moves on? Well, that’s probably what you’re thinking.” I watched, as my Treecko kept walking, not stopping to acknowledge that I had just said something. I wanted to take him back to the Professor and tell him it was broke, but oh god, I couldn’t disappoint the man of my dreams, it just wasn’t like me to do such a thing. So, I did the only thing I could do at a time like that, keep up. However my keeping up was merely walking a bit faster than normal since Leandro wasn’t running or anything. Yes, it was quite a simple task for me. As we walked on, Treecko stopped suddenly, I’ll admit it nearly scared the life out of me because it wasn’t what I was expecting, but then he turned, facing several bushes. ”Oh my god is it a Pokémon?!” Leandro nodded and without hesitation we both prepared for a battle.

_ [ First Capture! ]I pulled out my Poke-Dex and recorded everything I needed to know about the cute little dog thing in front of me. ”It is called a Zigzagoon, I’m sure we’ll do just fine. But don’t knock it out because I want to capture my first Pokémon Okay?” Of course, Leandro nodded and jumped into battle with the Pokémon, yet he still managed to take my orders. “You’re faster so let’s attack him first,” I said while still putting the Poke-Dex away, ”Leandro, use your pound attack!” I didn’t want to start with leer or some crap like that, no I wanted to make sure the Pokémon was mine for the taking and I wasn’t willing to risk lowering its defense for that. ”You’re doing great!” I watched as Leandro smashed the Zigzagoon in the side with a pound, hopefully it got the message across that we meant business because I didn’t want to seem like a newbie at this. “Here he comes with a tackle! Look out!” Leandro nodded and leapt high into the air, just barely dodging the tackle attack. ”Now, pound one more time!” As Leandro was still in the air, who did some cheesy spin and came down on top of Zigzagoon with his tail, pushing the Pokémon into the earth. ”Excellent, go, Poke-Ball!” I dug around in my bag for a moment before pulling out a tiny Poke-Ball that grew bigger as it sat in my hand. After it was at its max size, I under-hand threw it at the Zigzagoon, causing it to go inside the Poke-Ball. After struggling to break free for a moment, the Zigzagoon was caught! ”Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! We did it, great, we like totally caught the Pokémon!” I ran over and picked it up and let it out of the Poke-Ball, it was cute enough, it was even wagging its tail! ”You seem so happy! I know exactly what to name you; your name shall be Audrey.” I always loved that name, I don’t know why, it just seemed so well put together. After thinking about why I choose it for a moment, I realized that Audrey was waiting patiently for me to get going while Leandro seemed to be moving on already. ”How rude! You could wait you know.” It was no use; there was something about that Pokémon I didn’t like at all! After walking onwards for a moment though, I realized that there was another Pokémon following us! It was definitely creepy but I had no choice but to fight it!

_ [ Zigzagoon Rivalry! ] It was a mere Zigzagoon, though surprisingly, Audrey wanted to fight it. ”You want to fight the Zigzagoon? Let me check it first.” I pulled out my Poke-Dex and analyzed the Pokémon, sure enough it was stronger than my Audrey, but only by one level. ”Um, Audrey, we should let Leandro handle this one okay?” Audrey shook her head no, she was obviously up to something. Maybe this enemy Zigzagoon and Audrey went way back. Who knew what had happened, all I knew was that Audrey wanted to beat up the Zigzagoon, but it was a bit hard to take her seriously because Audrey had a smile on her face the whole time. ”Alright Audrey, since you want to fight I am left with no choice. Let’s do this!” Audrey barked happily and got into battle ready position which looked like she was about to pounce on something. The enemy Zigzagoon came at us first with a tackle attack, though the attack didn’t seem like it would hurt a fly because it was moving at a slow speed. ”Audrey, use growl!” Audrey let out an adorable cry that could melt any tension between two people, however it couldn’t melt the tension between the two Zigzagoons, the enemy tackled Audrey causing her to fall to the ground. ”Oh my god! Audrey, get up and tackle it back.” Audrey stumbled to her feet before charging at the enemy Zigzagoon and knocking him down as well. ”Now, use growl!” Audrey let out another squeak. I wasn’t sure if the attack worked or not because my Poke-Dex didn’t tell me if my enemies attack went down or not. The Zigzagoon stood up and charged at Audrey again with another Tackle attack! ”Quick, dodge this one!” If there was two things I was sure of, it was that I looked good and that this Zigzagoon was slow! Audrey would have no problems dodging his attacks. After watching Audrey dodge the attack so easily, it was time for a counter-measure. ”Audrey, finish this up with tackle!” Audrey nodded and lunged, knocking out the enemy had put up a good fight but he was missing one thing, speed and Audrey had plenty of it. ”Congratulations Audrey, now you may return to your Poke-Ball and get some rest, however, Leandro, you’ll need to start training got it? Good.” I held out Audrey’s Poke-Ball in withdrew her for the time being, then I let out Leandro who seemed pissed for some reason. Was it bad that I wanted to punch the Pokémon in the face?
