yeah......but riddles are my THING! I was able to solve ancient dragon riddles that no one else in my English class was able to solve. And since my sister chose to work with me that day, she got the award that Mrs. Gomes was giving to the winner. A GIANT BUCKET OF CHOCOLATE! Thank the Creator my sister hates chocolate.

2. What state is surrounded by the most water?

3. A woman has 7 children, half of them are boys. How can this be possible?

4. A farmer and his hired help were carrying grain to the barn. The farmer carried one sack of grain and the hired help carried two sacks. Who carried the heavier load and why?

5. A boy was at a carnival and went to a booth where a man said to the boy, "If I write your exact weight on this piece of paper then you have to give me $50, but if I cannot, I will pay you $50." The boy looked around and saw no scale so he agrees, thinking no matter what the carny writes he'll just say he weighs more or less. In the end the boy ended up paying the man $50. How did the man win the bet?

6. If you were running a race, and you passed the person in 2nd place, what place would you be in now?

10. There is a common English word that is nine letters long. Each time you remove a letter from it, it still remains an English word - from nine letters right down to a single letter. What is the original word, and what are the words that it becomes after removing one letter at a time?

11. The word CANDY can be spelled using just 2 letters. Can you figure out how?

12. Bill bets Craig $100 that he can predict the score of the hockey game before it starts. Craig agrees, but loses the bet. Why did Craig lose the bet?

Chubby did a pretty good job here are all the correct answers...
1. There are 11 letters in "THE ALPHABET"
2. Hawaii
3. ALL the children are boys, so 1/2 half are boys and so is the other half.
4. The farmer's load was heavier. His hired help only carried two sacks, while the farmer carries one sack, but his sack is a sack of grain. The hired help only carried 2 sacks - both empty.
5. The man did exactly as he said he would and wrote "your exact weight" on the paper.
6. You would be in 2nd. You thought first place, huh? Well, you passed the guy in second place, not first.
7. Elizabeth is drinking coffee. The letter E appears twice in her name, as it does in the names of the others that are drinking coffee.
8. Heartache and Headache.
9. A Soul
10. The base word is Startling - starting - staring - string - sting - sing - sin - in - I
11. The answer: C and Y
12. Bill said the score would be 0-0 and he was right. "Before" any hockey game starts, the score is always 0-0.
13. They were all adopted
14. Charcoal
15. Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

1.
Little Nancy Etticote
In her white Petticoat
With a red nose.
The longer she stands
The shorter she grows

2.
Of all my siblings, which I have many,
I am the number, wise old twenty.
I always wear, my long thin hat,
And stand on one leg, I've never sat.
I'm last of last, and last of first
I'm last of the best, and last of the worst.
Who am I?

3.
Very few friends I have, renowned am not,
Concealed and shielded behind much, difficult to spot.
I am like bug and sickness; I am contagious not always wanted,
Though I am small, they fear me greatly, for I might leave them haunted.
At times I am tough to keep, my master forced to let me free,
Then I rupture and soar around and they converse regarding me.
I may be friend or foe, servant or teacher,
I am like a bird; I want to be free creature.
What am I?

4.
Old Mr. White,
Flew high like a kite,
In an invisible plane,
He flew all day and night.
He would shade the sunlight,
In his never-ending flight,
Some days his plane would leak,
Dripping water without spite.
What am I?

5.
Often talked of, never seen,
Ever coming, never been.
Daily looked for, never here,
Still approaching, coming near.
Thousands for my visit wait,
But alas, for their fate,
Though they expect me to appear,
They will never find me here.
What am I?
