" So you're not my son's mate? Then where is she? I expected him to have one by now!"
She turned to Jeice
"Why do you not have a mate yet? After all the trouble you gave me for finding perfectly nice succubi for you you'd think you would have one by now! "

She felt a chill run down her back as her expression changed. She flinched as she kinda yelled at her then she turned to Jeice. She slowly took a step back, hoping that she wouldn't notice. She was kinda scared now not knowing really what to do.

X'chall grabbed Sol's sleeve
"You stay right there. I know who you are, you're my nephew's mate, the one I'm here to judge. I've got plenty of tests for you child so dont even think about moving!"

She felt her heart stopped as she grabbed onto her sleeve. "ok....sorry.." she apologized to her. Now she was shakin like a leaf. She was hoping someone would help her out here.

Jeice pulled Sol away from his mother
"Thats enough mom."
He gave sol a small smile
" If it makes you feel any better I'll go through your challenges. They're easy for our kind, though one will be fairly difficult for someone like you"

She felt herself being pulled away from her and into Jeice. She looked up at him and returned a thank you smile. She was surprised about what he said.
"You would do that for me Jeice?" She wondered if he was feeling ok.

"Damn skippy. It's not every day I meet one of my own kind, and my kind always sticks together. Besides I've done these before and if you haven't had the training I've had you're going to need some help and I figure I can train you a little before your tests begin"
He looked to his mother
" You will not harm this girl before her trials begin mother"
he growled, his voice sounding demonic.He always got like this when people close to him were threatened
" And you will not stop me from preparing her. She is not like my sisters and I. Her body is softer than ours and her soul not as callous"

Fenix looked to Sol and Jeice's mom, smiling to himself as she mistakened Sol for Jeice's mate. Shaking his head, he turned his attention back to the rails. He was too bothered with awaiting his father's arrival to try and converse with anyone.
Sighing, Fenix looked at the ground. His eyes made their way back to Sol, and Fenix pushed his back off the wall as he spotted Jeice holding her. He didn't know what the circumstance, so he was trying not to let his already strung out nerves snap and the proverbial dam that was holding his emotions back burst free.
He walked slowly towards them, not glowering yet but looking sternly at the two of them.
"Ahem," He cleared his throat, crossing his arms again. "Well you two certainly look happy today." He said.

Jeice jumped a bit when he heard Fenix's voice
"Jesus christ man, you dont like it when I do it so what makes you think I'd like it?"
His mother tapped him on the shoulder and gave a small nod.
"Oh right,um Fenix, this is my mom Lady X'chall'at-aa. She's also your aunt.

She smiled at Jeice "Well... um thank you Jeice."
She spotted Fenix walking towards them she felt her heart do a little flip inside her chest, but for some reason he seemed to be bothered by something. Then she realized that he had mistakened why Jeice was holding her. She didn't know what to do, so she walked away from Jeice and moved over to where Fenix was and gave him a small smile.
"Hi there love.... um you see Jeice was just helping me out." She said hoping that he would understand that. She knew that he wasn't to happy that his dad was staying here and sleeping in his dorms too. She really didn't want to be such a bother for him to make his dad and Jeice's mom come out here to see if she was fit to become a princess. Who knows she might get killed since she might not do something right, or being hurt by Jeice mother.
She really didn't know what to do. If she should hug him.....or just leave him alone... So she wrapped her arms around him hoping that he would hug back and not reject her. She wanted to feel his nice warm and comforting embrace, she yearned for it so much.

Fenix looked to Jeice's mother as he was introduced, thinking it hard to believe that he had not seen this woman who was his aunt before. He wondered why he had never been told about having family so close by in the Underworld.
Fenix bent forward, bowing and inclining his head to her. "Lady X'chall'at-aa," Fenix said softly, reaching for her outstretched hand. Taking it, he kissed the back of her hand. "A pleasure to meet you. I am Prince L'ruseph; Son of Lord Bane." Fenix looked into her eyes and smiled a greeting.
Fenix raised an eyebrow as he watched as Sol wormed her way out of Jeice's arms and came to him. As she greeted him, Fenix felt his mind drift and a smile threatened to show itself on his lips. He suppressed it effectively for now, shaking his head.
"I'm sure, I'm sure." He groaned under his breath to her, waving his hand. "I'm just a little all over the place right now." He looked at Sol apologetically as she stood by him, looking unsure of what to do. He didn't know what else to say to explain his behavior.
As Sol hugged him, Fenix hugged her as well, a happy and relieved smile on his face. Remembering that on of their judges was before them, Fenix broke the hug and instead grabbed her hand up in his.
"And it seems you have met Sol already." He said to Lady X'chall'at-aa. The conversation, Fenix imagined, would have continued on for much longer if a train suddenly pulled into the station, coming to a stop. Fenix went stiff, already knowing who was on the train; He could sense him on there. Looking to Sol, Fenix offered a weak attempt at flashing her a smile.
"I hope you're prepared." He muttered to her, squeezing her hand.
A door on the side of the train slid open, and a man stepped out into the light, squinting up at the sun drearily. Grabbing his suitcase, the man hopped off the train, his messy black hair being tossed around as he landed. He looked around, then spotted a young man staring rigidly at him. He grinned, showing a pearly white smile that seemed a little off. All of his teeth seemed to be both strong and sharp enough to bite off a couple fingers.
Setting his bag down, he stared back into the green eyes of his son with his own smoke grey eyes.
"Hello son." He said, his voice sounding like it had a subtle threatening undertone. He looked over a Sol with a piercing gaze, and a small smile appeared on his face. "And you must be the one named Sol." He said, bowing to her. "A pleasure, I'm sure."

She looked up at him and smiled back "Don't worry about it." As she hugged him and he broke the hug and grabbed her hand she felt happy. She stood there by Fenix's side. For some reason she felt more safe but still she felt uneasy about Jeice's mother, but she would have to pass the tests in order for her to live and to be with Fenix. Then she heard the train pull up, she turned towards the train and watch all these people get off the train.
Then she felt Fenix stiffen up. She watched a man that looked a lot like Fenix but with grey eyes and looked up at the sun like he wished it would disappear. She saw him smiled at Fenix and started walking towards them. As he said hello to his son then turned his attention toward her she felt her heart stop since she really didn't know how to act. She returned the smile back to his father. "Uh, yes sir I'm Midnight Sol." She watched him bow to her. She squeezed Fenix's hand not really knowing what to do now. So she bowed her head slightly at his father hoping that she was doing something right for once. She wondered what her father would think of her and hopefully he wouldn't kill or hurt her like Jeice mother would do.

The man looked on as Sol bowed her head. He chuckled.
"Most young ladies curtsy when they are showing me respect," He said, a soft smile on his face. His eyes traveled to Fenix for the quickest second, then back to Sol. "But I appreciate when things get shaken up a little." He chuckled again, looking to Fenix. "Are you not going to introduce us, Fenix?" He asked.
Fenix bristled some as his father made his remark. He was beginning with his jabs already? He held his tongue, swallowing the words he was about to call his father.
"Father, my girlfriend Sol," He said through gritted teeth, gesturing to the person he was currently talking about. "Sol, my father, Underworld's highly esteemed Lord Bane." Fenix said the last bit with a slight hint of venom. He was trying to not be too much of an a**, mostly for Sol's benefit. He also had the smallest hope and inclination that maybe his father would be more of a human here than anywhere else.
This hope didn't shine as bright his other hopes, but it was still there all the same.

X'chall stepped up to Fenix's father and bowed politely
"Brother, it is a pleasure to see you again"
She placed he hand in the small of Jeice's back and pushed him forward
"You remember my son Jeice I'm sure. Like your son he shows much promise."
