like i said, im for gay rights and civil union between them... but it specifically says in the bible that marriage is between a man and a woman, so god doesnt really think gays should be married in his church... but he never said they were evil

Doesn't evil and sin go hand and hand my friend?

Yes, but it isn't free will that causes homosexuality. Their hormones naturally respond toward the same gender. If god really created all of man, and didn't like homosexuality, why would he cause their hormones to work that way?

If god doesn't like homosexuals, then why the hell did he make them? Please don't give me that free-will crap. People have no control over those hormones at all. Is is really a sin to love? A sin to be attracted to someone? If that someone happens to be of the same sex? Don't say Satan did it, either. That would mean that love is evil. And that goes against the whole frickin' bible. obviously i'm an athiest, but i don't mean to piss anyone off.

Well arcording to your past arguments you're saying that they should be able to love eachother, and God did not create them that way, they chose to be that way Love is a Decision by Gary Smalley!!! To second God never made them demons tempted them by use of output of thoughts The Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis... and God even killed a city filled with sin and homosexuality Genisis by Moses, Sadum and Gamorra, and Romans he 'left' meaning his presense and then the city turned to sin... sexual sin, homosexuality!!!

That was a theory, still yet to be proven, and the gene thing was between brothers that were homosexuals who have same gene links, well of course they would, they're brothers!!!

First off, are you insinuating that homosexuals aren't allowed to be christians, and that any religion that accepts them must be wierd? Plus, are you saying that we shouldn't demand rights for people? Doesn't that go against the whole constitution. That people should say what they believe is right? Are you saying that we shouldn't be fighting to end sexism and racism because we shouldn't ask for more rights? Should people not stand up for their rights when they are wrongly treated? If anything, this puts us on the road to a BETTER democracy, where everyone really is treated equal.

Wierd shouldn't always be taken as an offense, because the definition means perverse to some, which that kind of religion to me is perverse!

I'm not saying that they can't be christian, because my church accepts them as members, but tells them they should turn from the devils cheek of sin. My church would never allow a homosexual marriage because the definition of marriage is (A Holy Matrimony between God and a Man and Woman who set forth to love and populate the EArth!!!)

Being treated equal and fair are different, equal means everyone should be treated the same, which is impossible with human sin, and fair means everyone should be and get the same thing!!! With freedom comes responsibility, with equality comes even more!!! And a better democracy is not possible, we already got as good as it gets pretty much!

"The group says the deaths of U.S. soldiers are God’s punishment for a nation that harbors gays and lesbians." ...wow. Apparently THAT was the cause of hurricane katrina, and not air, wind and rain gathering over warm salt water and ending up at New Orleans. Please tell me none of you guys are that stupid!

In todays world science is more seen than theology, God made the rainbow in Genesis for the Covenant, but now it's seen as rain and light! And I'm not saying that Hurrican Katrina was the cause because of that, because it could've been voodoo, or nothing just natural! And if it that's stupid what about the Muslim leader who claimed Bush planted bombs in the water gates to make New Orleans flood during the Hurricane, or the reason we are in Iraq is oil??? God works things in mysterious ways... also about the science and theology God said in Genesis at the tower of Babel, that united they can accomplish almost anything... which basically means we can do evil, or good, and see it as science!

I can't really argue these well, because i have absolutely no knowledge of the bible. I think i'm the only atheist here. I used to go to catholic school but... Anyways, I don't believe that it is a sin to be homosexual, because some of my friends that are guys are. And they are really good people. I agree that they shouldn't get married in a place that doesn't accept their relationship, but I think they should be able to get a marriage certificate and have a ceremony if they want. Since my best friend is a religious fanatic, I know that i can't change your mind on the whole sin thing.

Well, I don't support the marriage part, but yeah, they should be able to have a Civil Union Certificate and marriage so they can have the same benifits as a married couple! We never said they are bad people we just think what they are doing is a sin!

That's good then. Why the hell would Bush plant bombs to make new orleans flood? That makes no sense whatsoever. On a totally off-topic subject, have any of you seen Sicko? I just saw it today. Most of it anyways, it was boring and ridiculous. It had a few points, but seriously. I seriously doubt that the media is trying to make us hate France because they don't want us to demand free healthcare... And what about taxes? He didn't even bring up the fact that free healthcare means paying way more taxes!

Bush planting bombs in New Orleans lol nice I love the conspiracy theorys, always good for a laugh, just like the bush blowing up the twin towers. Havn't seen Sicko yet. As far as the gay marriage/union thing goes, I've decided to compromise, that's how a democracy works. While I still don't believe in marriage between them, civil union is ok. It's taken alot of thinking on my part but yeah, anyway so there you have it. They should deserve some rights. xd

Also, this is far out, but hey I want to through it out there...What if, like the hormones we put in beef can affect a woman's baby/or mass of cells whatever you prefer so they are off balance. Kinda like drug babies or babies with F.A.S?
PostPosted: Sat Jun 30, 2007 10:02 am
Good point! I heard that researchers have discovered that hormones used in beef are causing girls to mature more quickly, physically. So maybe they could affect the embryo.

By the way, if you like conspiracy theories, here are some:

1. A couple years back, the CIA tried to overthrow Fidel Castro by making his beard fall off so he would look less manly. Nice to know where our tax dollars are going...

2. My personal favorite, it's from Sicko. The media is trying to make us hate France so that we don't want to like them and get the health benefits they do!

3. Those pretty new dollars we just got? They've got trackers and stuff in them...

lol I get to hear alot of theories, both my parents actually believe that Bush blew up the Twin Towers, and they are anti-semitist, so it's the Jews fault, and it's unspoken consent in the house that we never went to the moon.
