Yuri crossed his arms and picked up his scythe leaning on it again. "Yuki...look me in the eyes." he noticed that she'd not looked him in the eyes but once and that was the last time they talked. The first thing she did after that was to look back at the ground though and he didn't like that at all...she never seemed to make er eyes go as high as his were whether he was sitting, standing...probably even if he dug a hole and laid down in it. He didn't see much of a friendship going if the person he was trying to talk to wouldn't even look him in the eyes....it made it harder to trust a person if they didn't look you in the eyes...and trust is what friendship was built on. He waited for her to at least try...or to say she couldn't, whatever would come next. Akio seemed o have been being quiet but that did not bother him...he wanted her to look him in the eyes and that was what he was setting out on doing for now...nothing else just that.

Akiio looked at Yuri with a glare but it changed. He teleported his book and got up. Suddenly he saw the Demon inside come out. He didn't really care, it wasn't harm to him so it wouldn't be his problem. He looked around and that is when Hieii had shown himself. He growled lightly in anger and looked at him.

"Hieii, where the hell have you been this whole time?"

Hieii covered up the half of his forehead with his white tape badange. He looked at Akiio and growled himself. Akiio usually would be that cold towards him at times when he knew that if the trouble was getting up it was Hieii doing it. He looked at him and didn't answer for a minute. He changed his vision towards Yukikio and the Yuri.

'I have been in the training hall. Why do you ask Akiio?'

His eyes went back towards him. He sighed lightly and growled at Akiio's glare at him.

Yuki blinked, glancing at Yuri's neck now, then his jawbone, before her eyes flicked back to the ground and she bowed her head again. "Wh-why?" she stammered. Just because he ordered her to, didn't mean she'd just be able to do so. It wasn't that she didn't want to look him in the eyes, it was that she was almost unable to. It was strangely difficult for her to manage things like that. She bit her lip nervously as her tail curled more tightly around her waist. Her eyes flicked towards Akiio for a moment as a distraction and then towards the other who had approached him. She blinked as he looked at her now as well and bowed her head again quickly as her face flushed red almost automatically. And why... was he growling? It only put her even more on edge.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 27, 2006 6:39 pm
Yuri blinked ashe heard the growling and turned his head in their direction. Hieii was the one growling and he raised his brow at them for a moment...but he couldn't keep his mind on that when he was in the middleof something. He let his scythe dropp and dig into the ground again, stepping over andit and leaning over so that his eyes met the same heiht as hers would if she looked straight. He gently touched her cheek from under her chin on either side and began to turn her in his direction, attempting to force her eyes in his direction. He spoke in a voice that neared silence as he answered her question of why. "...i wanna see your eyes...that's why..." He could not quite remember what her eyes looked like...he'd only seen them for a split second before she'd looked away last time they spoke...so no he was going to try and sort of trap them into looking at him. The plan seemed doomedto fail actually...but if he had to ask her to open her eyes for an hour he would.

Yuki jumped in alarm as she felt his hands touch her face and her eyes widened in surprise, though they stared downwards still. Since he was so close, that meant she was watching his chest now. Her face had flushed instantly scarlet as she bit her lip again. "Th-they're b-b-blue," she stammered, much worse than usual. Her hands clenched nervously in her lap as her tail curled even more firmly around her waist. Her eyes flicked around for a second, before they looked off to the bottom right corner, staring off the side as she tried to ignore what he was doing, though she found it impossible to actually accomplish. A second later, she actually closed them tightly. It was a wonder she hadnt done this earlier.

Yuri looked at her with a sympathy that had been absent up until then. He spoke in the same near silent voice as he spoke again, "I remember that much...there's more to eyes then they're color though..." he said this as he thought about his own. His own eyes were empty as he'd seen in the reflection he was staring at in the lake. They'd turned silver after he'd finally given up on living a life for himself. He hadn' lived his life for himself for years now and coming here was the first thing since that decision that he'd done more for himself than others. He had studied many different eyes over those years...eyes of his friends...of lovers who were mostly dead now...He knew a lot about eyes and what was found in them. The look of sadness and regret that was found as one's eyes changed before they passed away. The look of vacant meaninglessness that came just a second ahead of death. The way that eyes that have seen someone die change...he'd met many people over the years...none had seemed to have stuck with him for very long....either that or they died before they could leave. HE wanted to see what her eyes were like...he wanted to know why she couldn't look him in the eyes on her own.

Yuki kept her eyes shut tightly for a moment longer, trying to figure out why he cared so much, and at the same time trying to keep herself from smacking his hands away and running to the forest for shelter. It was very hard to keep herself sitting here like this, and her hands were clenching even more tightly, claws threatening to cut into her palms if she didn't loosen them soon. She made a small whimpering noise in her throat and then very slowly eased her eyes open again. They flicked to his shoulder, and then seemed to inch their way towards his face, resting on his cheek for a long while. Then finally, they jerked up and met his eyes as well. Hers held a look of fear and sadness, both which were always in place wether there was an obvious reason for it or not. Right now, the fear could be blamed on what he was doing, though that wasn't really a good reason to be scared. But the sadness was just there, like it always was.

Yuri looked at them thoroughly and then let go of her face with the same gentle movement as he had made when he grabbed it. "I assumed there'd be fear...but why sadness? Why does a girl like you's eyes hold a sad look in them?..." He spoke a little louder but it was still less then a whisper. He stood up and backed up a bit as he waited for her response to him. He did not like the way that she had clenched her fists or the way she'd acted like it would hurt her to look at him. Whatever had made her this way was bad, but whether or not he'd find out how bad was up to her. It seemed to him like she was already turning out to be the kind of person who endsup leaving once they actually got to know him...but there were only a few others that had acted similar to the way she did. All of them had done the same thing...but none of hem had fear and sadness in the look in their eyes...it was fear and lonliness or lonliness and sadness...or just one of them. It was the way they acted that made htem comparable to her...he hoped she'd not turn out that way but he doubted it...all of them were the same

Yuki bowed her head again as soon as he released her, and a second later had drawn her legs to her chest, holding them tightly in place with her arms as she burried her face into her knees. "I-I don't know..." she said, voice even quieter than before, and now muffled as well. But she didn't lift her head. She wasn't one to complain aloud. She just kept everything locked up inside, which probably was not a good thing at all. Her mind began working quickly though, as she too tried to figure out why exactly she always looked so sad. Even when she smiled, her eyes still held that look. The fear was very often in place as well, but it wasn't quite as permanent. Perhaps the reason was simply because she couldn't stand herself and how terrified she was of pretty much everything, but at the same time she was too scared to change that. That was another part of herself she hated. She couldn't stand it! She pulled her legs more tightly to herself, pressing her face moreso into her knees. Her silvery hair fell around her, like a blanket to further hide her from Yuri, Akiio, and the man who'd approached him.

Livvy glanced at the watch on her wrist impatiently. She was growing tired and antsy. She got the strange feeling that she had to return to her dorm. She tugged on Minami's sleeve to get her attention.

"We need to go now." She left no room for argument, so Minami nodded. Livvy was serious.

Minami turned to the twins and smiled apologetically. "I'm sorry, but we really must be going. It was nice talking to you. I hope the rest of your day is more fun that it has been." With that, she waved good-bye and allowed herself to be dragged off by Livvy in the direction of the dorms.

As Hikaru walked through the courtyard on the way home from one of her training sessions, she spied and Yuki and Yuri as they had their conversation. Yuki was sitting down, curled up into herself and looking sort of scared and depressed. Looking next to the boy, she saw that he seemed to be standing back a little from her, looking as if he were expecting some sort of reaction. Wondering what exactly was going on, she went up to the two of them, coming up quietly beside Yuki and kneeling down.

"Hey... that's you, isn't it, Yuki?" she said in her usual cheerful manner, albeit a bit softer than usual. She didn't want to startle her. "What's wrong?" She turned her eyes to Yuri, eyeing him up and down briefly before jerking a thumb at him. "This guy bothering you or something? Want me to beat him up?" Laughing a little, she cracked her knuckles playfully, despite being half-serious about her remark. She wasn't exactly sure what was going on here, but if someone was making one of her friends feel bad, Hiko wasn't about to let it slide.

Yuri raised a brow as she said she didn't know, noticing the wa she'd curled up shortly after. He let his brow down as another girl approached. Most of his attention turned from Yuki to the other girl. Yuri was normlally a peaceful person, he never started any fights, but if someone else did then he usually ended them. Not once, since he'd arrived here at Ria High, did anyone start a fight with him...Right now he wasn't worried about getting in a fight, even if the girl was serious and Yuki sent her at him for some reason then it would not have been much of a big deal. He was definitely quick...more quick then any of the opponents he'd gone up against. Since he was a child he's been quick, both physically and mentally, and him being so quick makes fist fights end rather quickly. He waited for what would happen, doubting that most of the ideas that popped into his head while he waited were truly what came next. He was naive that way.

Yuki's eyes opened suddenly as she heard the familiar voice, but she didn't quite place it until she caught the girl's scent as well. Then she raised her head, but remained hugging her knees to her chest. She stared at Hikaru for a second, her expression almost blank, and then she shook her head slowly. Her regular faint smile came to her face as she slowly wiped at her eyes, as if she'd been crying, even though she hadn't. "I-I'm fine..." she assured her, voice near a whisper as usual, but then she offered a small laugh as well. She really didn't want to have pepole worrying about her needlessly. She'd just needed to escape for a second, so she'd ended up curling up into a ball. Her tail slowly uncurled from her waist, flicking behind her as if to say she really was alright. "Thank y-you... for your concern. Um, h-how have you been?" She hadn't seen her in a long while, and kind of wanted to change the subject away from herself as well.

Adrienne grabbed her iPod, and books and shoved them all into her bag. Glancing up at the sky she paused then shook her head, standing and brushing the dirt off of her skirt. Though she had enjoyed the peace and quiet of the courtyard, she needed a little break...the book she had been reading was getting rather boring...and perhaps she could find new ones within the library. Adjusting her plaid skirt and her long black sweater, she first twisted her hair into a long black braid. Grabbing a headband from her bag and removing the loose strands of hair from her face, she looked herself over before making her way out. Crossing past the fountain and towards the steps, Adrienne tried to forget Cassandra, and ran for the library. " If she wants to ignore me...then I might as well ignore her ", she whispered with a small growl.

About every 20th step Jack would let out a verry dry sigh. It had been awhile scince he had been to the courtyard, actually it had been awhile since he was at Ria high in general. That wasent a matter now though, because it dident seem like there was much change about the place. Even the boring mood of the courtyard was still the same. Yet, Jack quietly hoped that someone would be willing to stir up some kind of conversation, even if it wasent with him.
After about twelve sighs Jack floped himself down on a bench, dug his hands into his pockets and kicked his head back and began to watch the clouds roll by.
