LOLOL.
I love how people are always complaining in the R&C that only the anime artists gets commissioned.
But these people don't freakin' realize how hard it is for anime artists.
'Cos if you try to apply to an arts school with a sketch book full of anime, they'll just throw out your application without even looking at it.
SO LET US HAVE THE INTERNET PEOPLE.
Sure. We're earning virtual gold. BUT HOW WILL THAT PUT BREAD RICE ON OUR TABLE? DD: <

pt 2.
Then there's the whole traditional vs. digital art battle.
It's not that R&C likes digital better, it's that most traditional artists aren't very good.
= A=;;
(Whether that'd be lack of talent or failure on the scanner's part, I dunno)
But I get commissioned 3Ok for a crappy sketch. So I'd say that's pretty good.

OMGz.

Someone tell me whether to withdraw from Grade 5 Flute exam or not D8

Situation.
Flute has been crappy for the past few weeks, at the moment it's being repaired in time before Summer Concert - Wednesday.
Haven't practiced for a week, already suck at musicianship and scales D8 I'm pretty conifdent on pieces and study.
Exam on 12th July.
Don't have any further flute lessons before that exam due to work experience.
Pretty much stressed =="

I have this week to decide whether to withdraw ;;;

Exchange: wtf @ deflation

@t0shi - I love the trad artists.. got a 34k commission pending for one <3 it's just stupid, because it's also the same with anime v non-anime - the non-anime ones are usually rubbish. As a buyer, I'd definitely choose a good non-anime over rubbish anime, but it doesn't happen that often. @__@

@789 - It depends. If you're okay on pieces + studies then I'd say go for it, 'cause scales can be learnt by short, intensive practice sessions, and you can sort of just go through the pieces once a day - it's easy to OVER-learn pieces anyway - so it should be okay. Musicianship (aural, I take it) you can't really help, however much you practise. So just go for it. (:

Art: give free art? <3

Well, as long as you pass, there's no harm in sitting it, right? At least you won't have it as bad as I did with piano. I tried sitting my Grade 8 piano exam twice and failed both times. After the second time I just gave up playing since there was no way I was even going to pass, and my VCE exams were more important. Since then I've virtually forgotten how to play piano. Sad isn't it?

@Berryscarry: Gosh, your parents must have a very abusive relationship. Was it always like this or did your parents gradually have a falling out?

Wisdom teeth growing, god damn it's annoying. It's like a nagging sort of mild pain that's always there when I stop to notice it. My mum's overseas and she usually does all the booking of dentists and minor but important stuff. I don't want to go to dentist cos they'll remove it and it'll hurt and then I'll have to have needles in my gum and eat jelly for two weeks and it'll hurt and there'll be exams and did I mention it'll hurt!!!!

if you get it done now, you don't have to get it done later and then you can have much more pleasant less nagging pained summer vacation. Besides, it's not like they won't pull it out if your mom booked it.

No, we left him and moved to Oregon "five states away" but he eventually sold his house and moved out here. He was apparently all good and cheery. but on her trip back to Minnesota with him, he just went back to his old ways.

@CBC: I agree with Yalie. You should have your wisdom teeth pulled out ASAP. A brief moment of intense pain is better than a long period of constant nagging pain. Trust me, you don't want to let your wisdom teeth keep growing until maximum size. By that time the pain in your jaw might become unbearable, and the worst thing is, you'll have no way of relieving it. Also, assuming that your teeth are perfectly straight at the moment, having your widsom teeth grow out will completely ruin your jawline. I spent four years wearing braces, but then as soon as I took them off, two of my wisdom teeth started to grow and ended up messing up my teeth again.

my parent's room... I had to clean it today, and I have to say, how can two grown adults turn a giant room into such a sty? I mean honestly!! How much stuff can you have? Even people with that much stuff have the foresight to put it away on a shelf or something, not just leave it scattered on the floor. And the dust!!! I went under the bed and I thought I ended up in a different world. My back still hurts for all the maneuvering I had to do under there. And then, there were the spiders... they, just, won't die!!!! I smash and smash but they keep moving!! What kind of spiders are those anyway!!? *sigh* next time they ask me to clean their room, I'm charging double. stare
