@CBC: I agree with Yalie. You should have your wisdom teeth pulled out ASAP. A brief moment of intense pain is better than a long period of constant nagging pain. Trust me, you don't want to let your wisdom teeth keep growing until maximum size. By that time the pain in your jaw might become unbearable, and the worst thing is, you'll have no way of relieving it. Also, assuming that your teeth are perfectly straight at the moment, having your widsom teeth grow out will completely ruin your jawline. I spent four years wearing braces, but then as soon as I took them off, two of my wisdom teeth started to grow and ended up messing up my teeth again.

My teeth are already weird...like vampire weird. And my jaw is already too narrow!

Ok, dentist visit in the holidays...what do they do to pull it out?

Like Yalie said, the dentists tranquilize your jaw, and then pull out the teeth with a pair of giant pliers. It sounds scary I know, but you won't feel any pain during the process. The pain comes afterwards-between 6 to 12 hours after the surgery, when your gum starts to heal.

anyways despite the pain you still get to eat fun foods like jello and pudding. and milk tea. When I got my teeth pulled as a kid my mom took me to eat that so i wouldn't go on a rampage. but that was only for baby teeth. I still don't think my wisdom teeth are in yet XD

Lol sorry, I seem to have a habit for black humour. Anyway, after a day or so your jaw wll be back to normal, and you can eat anything you want.

@niph: uh... no, but it was all I could think of eating at that time. But of course I'm sure that if cbc really tried she could con persuade her mom to buy her some new clothes or shoes, oh definitely shoes to take her mind of the pain. mrgreen

I don't think I have enough space in my mouth for any wisdom teeth to grow, unless they start to grow out the side of my jaw or something. Maybe they've grown already, but aren't you supposed to be 20 or something before wisdom teeth come? I swear that last time i visited the dentists, they said that my wisdom teeth had grown already...

I had 2 milk teeth pulled out because the teeth either side of them were making them grow wonky. But I never got any pain... not even afterwards. Ooh, unless you count the second one which was loose (a bit) already, and they decided- no, I wouldn't need an injection, so they just rubbed jel into it and yanked it out! It hurt like hell... crying and I was only 8 or something (did I cry? I don't think I did. Anyway, I can't remember). And it started pouring with blood >.< -which tasted horrible, and it was all dripping down my jaw!

@ Niphz: The dentist said that i could eat all the ice-cream I wanted after getting my tooth pulled out. As soon as we had gotten in the car I demanded to go to the shops and get ice cream xD

I work for them, so I get a LOT of ice cream and milk.
You know they actually have a seasonal flavor of milk that's rootbeer?!

@berry:I've only ever had root beer once, it was pleasant. I wonder what season root beer would be... bet it's summer.

@L.V. lol I actually like the metallic taste of blood, and when a tooth fell out I'd go over the empty space with my tounge... for some reason there was always the taste of blood there xd
