More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

The machine approached the girl and stood behind her. "I am sure, Ako. I have inhabited this shell long enough. I have grown tired of not truly experiencing the world as a human. Had I known Daedalus had my body, I would have done this long ago. Hopefully, once this is done, I will have the answer as to why they brought her back. Please activate the restraints."

Cassandras muscles spasm-ed as she fought off the control for her own muscles. This allowed Shane to escaped from her grasp. She felt as if she were melting from the inside out. Losing her functions she slowly shut down. But there was plenty of fight left in her. Her arm moved fast but jagged. As she grabbed hold of his ankle you could feel her grip growing weak on second then stronger the next second. It was a battle for control. However her hand felt strangely soft. Shane's spores had damaged her enough to destroy her invulnerability

Alexavier felt dead on the inside. He felt as he was dying. A part of him was. What's the point of all of this? What's the point of living without..yourself. There was a void in his heart, Despite Cassandra still being alive for the moment he had already considered her dead. There was no saving her from Shane right now. Why should he be alive when she couldn't be?There was no point in living a half life. He had given up. It was over for both of them. Enveloping both Shane and Cassandra he pulled them towards him. Alexavier embraced Cassandra in a hug as she let go of Shane. There was confusing on her face for a moment until it changed into acceptance.

"Do it....just.....get it over with...you won."Alexavier said without looking at Shane,

Trinity nodded at this, it's Gidget alright. She seemed to have been adressing this by separating herself from the body she's in now. She cleared her text and put her phone away. "It's okay Ako, let's proceed."

Ako looked from Gidget's robotic body to the motionless one on the chair before them. He'd hated the robotic body at first, but now that he realized it was truly Gidget, he'd gotten over it. He realized he would love her no matter what body she had. And now that her flesh and blood body had returned, he wondered if the robotic body didn't suit her better. Gidget and Trinity sounded sure of the decision, though, so he hadno choice but to go along. "Alright." he said, getting ready to do his part.

Shane dispersed the water down below them and placed a hand on their shoulder to encourage them down to the ground. Shane could hear sirens in the distance closing in, and helicopters closing in faster. Whether they were for assistance or assault he was unsure.

After touching their feet to the dirt Shane felt he had to say something to the duo. "All things considered, I'm sorry it had to come to this. I ask that you take comfort in knowing that you will be together. Our combined power will bring peace to the world. Daedalus will fall before our might."

The machine placed one end of the cable into a connection port in it's arm. It looked down at the girl and brushed some of the matted hair out of her eyes. It smiled softly before saying, "It's time to wake up."

The machine looked up at Ako and nodded, signaling that it was ready for the restraints to be locked down.

Ako solemnly returned Gidget's, nod. He still had his doubts, but he continued to do as he was asked, He took a calm, deep breath, and the feel of static steadily filled the air immediately around him. "Good luck." He said, before releasing the charge into the chair. He guided the charge through from its entry point to its final destination, and the clamps locked down securely.

The machine looked back down at the girl. It spread her hair away from the back of her head and let it drape over the sides to clear the path to the port. With a gentle thrust, the machine plunged the piked cable into the port. There was a whirring and then a click as the cable locked itself into place.

There was a moment of sheer deafening silence as the machine began the process without moving an inch. The silence was broken by the girl's eyes suddenly snapping open as she screamed in agony. Memories were being added, overwritten, and shared. She pulled against the restraints as her body suddenly lost control of itself and started thrashing about. Her teeth clenched as blood began to trickle from her nose. She exhaled sharply, sending a small crimson spray out in front of her. It lasted for only about ten seconds, though it felt like minutes or hours to the girl. She inhaled deeply and stared straight up as her eyes darted about with no real focus.

The cable unlatched itself and withdrew from the port. The machine's eyes closed as it fell backward with a loud clang. The restraints snapped open and the girl fell forward out of the chair onto her hands and knees. She gagged and threw up bile before rolling onto her back and passing out.

The duo did as Shane asked. They quickly landed.Alexavier felt Cassandra fading away.He wanted it to be over quickly. As Shane addressed them, Alexavier chuckled. He knew better than that.

"No, it won't. We will bring destruction as an ever expanding mass.Daedelus might fall....but so will the world." He let out a tired sigh." Let's just..get this over with. She is fading fast." Cassandra was barely able to stand at this point.


Theonis wanted to jump in an stop the transfer but he didn't know what would happen if he did. Gidget could have been lost forever if he did that. But still! This can't be good for her brain. Forcing in all those memories gained over many years into a body that just woke up. He only hoped it would be alright.

Ako's hand moved as fast as lightning to grasp the machine by the back of the neck when the girl screamed, intent on pulling it away. He stopped when he realized what that might do, however, and loosened his grip. He wasn't expecting the machine to go limp so suddenly, and it slipped from his grasp. He ignored the loud clang as it hit the ground, his attention solely on the girl now. He rushed to kneel at her side, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Gidget, are you there? Are you alright?"

Christian frowned and wrinkled his nose in disgust at the smell of the bile Gidget had thrown up. Without even thinking he changed the acidic substance into water. His frown deepened as he noticed Ako's and the other's concern. It was merely going to take time before anyone knew if Gidget the Machine made the right decision. Of course the morality in the whole situation was way too many shades of gray for Christian's taste. He hadn't concerned himself with morality, not in the way most people did, and not even the way his mother did. He was considering making a snide comment about Gidget needing to get a grip on herself, instead he said nothing and found himself wishing he could calm her down, ease her discomfort.

As the process began, the lyrics of the song she had been thinking about that this whole situation reminded her of filled her head

When the silence was broken by the sound of the clang of the Machine's body, she remembered the name of the song, Be Human her eyes widen as she saw the girl's body respond. She goes to her side shortly after Ako and feels for a pulse. There was one.
"We need to take her to the med bay... they'll need to take a look at her and she needs to rest."

Christian nodded, "The med bay where my mom is being held for observation or what not. She won't be happy to see Gidget, I'm betting. I'll go too. If Mom lashes out you'll need someone who can stop her power from working. Besides, I'm better at changing acid into water than changing water into acid, unlike her. And I'm quicker than her. She'll probably regret it if she does hurt someone because she is angry... I mean eventually."

He shrugged pushing himself off the table he sat on and landed on his feet. He could walk and pretty fast but keeping up with people with longer leg strides irritated him. At least they should be bogged down with carrying Gidget. Of course, the purple haired woman- Trinity- could probably just teleport them again through shadows.

The duo did as Shane asked. They quickly landed.Alexavier felt Cassandra fading away.He wanted it to be over quickly. As Shane addressed them, Alexavier chuckled. He knew better than that.

Shane chuckled as well. The boy was right. Shane knew it but was hoping to let the duo feel better about what was going to happen. He truly was sorry that it had to happen this way.

Shane approached the chimera and wrapped his arms around them gently, like a father giving his children a hug. Tendrils of biomass crept out of his body and also wrapped themselves around the two. He made sure the consumption process was quick and relatively painless. As their bodies were broken down, Shane began to get the normal rush that came with consuming a metahuman. What wasn't normal, and came completely unexpectedly, was the rush of memories. Memories of their conception, their separation, and the experiments they were forced to endure.

Tears welt up in Shane's eyes, their memories now his. He could feel the immense power that was housing within Cassandra, and the dangerous psychic influence of Alexavier. It was the latter that started the downhill progress that would lead to the coming nightmare.

Shane could feel himself becoming something that wasn't a singular being. His mind became a collective of all that he had consumed. Until he wasn't he anymore. He was now they, or rather it.

It took a deep breath and looked around the environment. It moved it's newly complete body. The many memories contained within it cried out in unison, and to the creature it was beautiful. Legion...yes, that's what the dark passenger would call itself from now on.

Legion frowned as the prior influential consciousness spoke aloud in it's mind. The mind called Shane asked for one last favor. Legion knew what this favor was before the mind could speak. The idea, though futile in it's own mind, entertained it. It allowed the mind to use the high mind's power, the one identified as Alexavier, to contact his sister.

Gidget's mind was floating in the ether as it was piecing itself together. She felt like she was on a fluff of clouds surfing upon a calm ocean. It hurt at first, but now things were starting to fall into place.

Her peace was interrupted by another presence in the ether with her. He walked on the water and approached her from behind. She sat up and looked behind her to see her brother smiling as he came closer.

"I see things went as I had predicted. Though I'm surprised that you aren't awake yet."

She made a face and glared at him as she grumbled, "Right, because transferring thirteen years of memories into a body that has been awake for more than a day is an easy thing to do. Wait, how are you speaking to me?"

Shane's face became sullen. He looked away for a moment and then back at Gidget. "There isn't much time so I will be brief. I have lost to the biomass. Right now it is at the hotel attacking and transforming anything living that comes within proximity of it. It is growing, and it is coming to you."

Gidget stood up and walked to her brother until they were an arms length apart. "We'll stop it. Even if it means killing you. I have something in the works. Hopefully it is done."

Shane smiled. "I knew you would. I wish I could be there to do this in person, but this will have to do. Daedalus has crossed several lines, but three in particular have led to this event. I am giving you the memories of the chimera I consumed, and the memories of the scientists who worked on your body. Believe it or not, the two are related. The world needs to know, Gidget. Find a way to transcribe these memories, and get the word out."

Gidget smiled as her eyes welled with tears. That was the first time he had referred to her as Gidget in over a decade. "I know just the person. We haven't spoken in a while, but she wont be able to resist something so big. Shane...thank you. I wish things were better."

Shane smiled sadly as he embraced his little sister. "Me too. I'll see you later, pest."

Gidget squeezed him. She could feel it. She laughed and sobbed once, then sniffed. "Punk, I love you."

A bright light enveloped the two of them, as the collective memories Shane spoke of became known to her. The ether faded away, and Gidget could hear someone calling to her. Distant at first, it was a few people. She knew the voices. She woke up.

Her eyes fluttered. It was so bright, She could only make out a few shapes. The shapes were calling her. The puzzle finally came together, and she knew the names of the Shapes. She shivered as goosebumps ran across her body.

"Is it always this cold in here?" Gidget asked Trinity.
