The mind known as Shane reseeded. Legion smiled. It's smile became even more menacing and dangerous as rescue, police, military and Daedalus approached. There were also news vans and helicopters. It knew this because the high mind could read them all.

The power mind flowed through it. It no longer felt like it was dying constantly. It felt strong, possibly even invincible. It laughed as this knowledge coursed through the prior mind and became Legion's. Many voices came from it both vocally and mentally. The people approaching it heard the beast twice. Some gripped their heads in pain, others were so startled that they suddenly lost control of their bodies. A few of the vehicles crashed into one another.

It didn't take long for the first volley of shots to be fired at Legion. They did little good as they passed through it. Legion's flesh repaired itself, though without using anything more than pure natural healing. It grinned. It was full of biological material, and it could grow. It knew this because the prior mind knew this.

The thing that was once human bulged and pulsated as it grew. It's features became a mockery of humanity. Gargantuan arms of flesh and bone flew from it's center, attacking the approaching vehicles. Anything living that came into contact with them was almost immediately absorbed into it. A few were consumed to create more mass, but Legion held onto the strong ones. It would need an army to bring peace to the world. Yes, peace was it's purpose. When all became one with Legion, all conflict would end. it would separate the minds, but they would be under it's control. Once mentality, one purpose: biological harmony.

Christian nodded, "The med bay where my mom is being held for observation or what not. She won't be happy to see Gidget, I'm betting. I'll go too. If Mom lashes out you'll need someone who can stop her power from working. Besides, I'm better at changing acid into water than changing water into acid, unlike her. And I'm quicker than her. She'll probably regret it if she does hurt someone because she is angry... I mean eventually."

He shrugged pushing himself off the table he sat on and landed on his feet. He could walk and pretty fast but keeping up with people with longer leg strides irritated him. At least they should be bogged down with carrying Gidget. Of course, the purple haired woman- Trinity- could probably just teleport them again through shadows.

Trinity didn't think about the possibility that they may end up in the same room together. She remembered promising the boy that she would take him to see his mother any way, so it would be killing two birds with one stone if she were to take him, Ako and Gidget now. She was about to drop everyone through shadows when she saw Gidget react.

Her eyes fluttered. It was so bright, She could only make out a few shapes. The shapes were calling her. The puzzle finally came together, and she knew the names of the Shapes. She shivered as goosebumps ran across her body.

"Is it always this cold in here?" Gidget asked Trinity.

When she spoke Trinity felt like this moment would never come but it's here now, her eyes welled up and she softly let out "Gidget..." then hugged her tightly. "I thought I'd never see the day..." as she let go she took her trench coat off and wrapped it around her shoulders leaving her with just her mid riff. She rubbed her eyes a little, "As for your question, I didn't think about it, thought the temperature was kept this temperature so the machines could run without overheating. I guess I just got used to it... didn't think of it as cold. It's great to have you back Gidget." she rubbed the tears from her eyes she was just so happy to see her best friend whole.

It seemed a little weird in retrospect that through the past 13 years they became best friends despite the Gidget's mechanical body.

Theonis frowned and looked away. It seemed he was just staring at the wall. Something felt odd. He had felt something before when Trinity was in danger but this time she was right in front of him. Must have been nothing.
" It IS a bit chilly in here actually." Theonis joked gently. He looked at them with a smile on his face. It was nice to see the two friends together like this. But mostly...he just liked to see Trinity happy.

" Welcome back Gidget."

Liv looked around." So....what's keeping the big guy?"

Gidget cried silently as Trinity held her. After she got wrapped up in her friend's coat she reached her hand up to her face and felt the tears. She breathed deeply and took in the smell of machine oil and metal. Oh how she had missed that smell.

Then she looked over at Ako. She could feel her cheeks warming up, the butterflies in her stomach, and the light headed endorphin rush. She looked around at everyone. She then began to laugh and cry at the same time. It was so wonderful, she couldn't contain herself.

Heather said, "Oh he'll be along. Lawrence has to move as slow as he possibly can at all times. He can't control his super speed so well, so that's the best way for him to do it."

Annie had been trying to shut her mind off as she lay in the bed tolerating being healed. She was trying to control her temper as she waited, knowing that she was essentially put into a prison of sorts by Gidget. What did it matter if it was the good guys keeping her locked up or the bad guys? Essentially it was the same. Even with her eyes closed and trying to sleep to the pass the time her brain continued to calculate odds and possibilities. Her mind began to shift to Shane and of course the biomass. People called a lot of things monsters. Some people believed all meta-humans were monsters. Others believed that only meta-humans with destructive and deadly abilities were monsters. Some believed killers were monsters. When it came down to it, Annie knew she qualified on all three counts, as did Shane. But, to Annie monster was a bit more complicated, a monster could be something that destroyed indiscriminately. Of course there were other type of monsters, but that type of monster is what the biomass was. The only thing that distinguished Shane from the type of monster Annie was- a 'rational monster' and an 'irrational monster that had to be stopped at all costs' was Shane's sanity.

Shane's sanity had relied on a lot of things- but most of all the driving force of returning Gidget's soul to her body. It was in a lot of ways how Annie had been tying her wanting to not go on a suicide mission to Shane's fate. If the twins didn't manage to kill Shane, which she doubted they could in the end, then Shane would acquire their powers and when he completely lost control the biomass would win- an irrational monster with a lot of control. Suddenly she sat up, muttering a few curses under her breath. The healers quickly backed away from her as she sat up.

She felt her side, she wasn't fully healed but at least well enough she could shift and reform without causing too much damage. "Get me a hold of Gidget," Annie said, finally. Someone began to protest but her look was enough to silence them as they handed her a phone connected to the computers in Gidget's lab. Assuming Gidget was in the lab, possibly with everyone else, and in the end not caring how calous she may sound she began:

"Gidget. If you're there I need to talk to you. I have a deal for you. You're right I was being a bit... unreasonable, when we last talked. I cooperate with you and work with you and anyone else to take out Daedalus, if I am the one to kill Shane- or probably the biomass. Oh, and of course, you keep Christian in custody till the situation is fully dealt with. The biomass doesn't have a lot of weaknesses, but it is organic matter. I am best at changing liquid to hydro chloric acid which eats through organic matter disturbingly fast. It takes more thought for me to tap my fingers than to use my power. If you don't agree to my terms, I hope you have a pretty good plan for keeping me prisoner as I will make the task of serving as my jailor very difficult for you." She paused with a small smile. "I'm betting I have the best bet on taking the biomass down, besides my son, of course. Let me use my destructive power for something decent for once. I want to end this on my terms, no more sitting aside and letting others call the shots."

"What? He's got supper speed? Heh I'd never would have guessed. Out of curiosity what was he look like before the meteor? Was he much shorter than you?" Kerana was curious about the big guy.

Once they were over by the pool there were a few indicators that showed red, yellow, and green.

Heather couldn't help but chuckle a little bit, although there was a hint of melancholy to it. "Oh yea. You can't tell now but he's actually my kid brother. He was six when he picked up the meteor fragment and brought it over to me so I could see it. He's twelve now. He was small for a boy his age, and he was sick a lot of the time. When the changes first started happening to him, he just got a little bit bigger and became the picture of health over night. It took over a week for the changes to complete. Then he was six feet tall and couldn't remember how to count."

Thankfully her mind was taken off of the current topic by the "traffic lights." She tilted her head in curiosity, almost like the dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park film. "What are those for?" She asked, pointing to the indicators.

Gidget's laughter tapered out when she heard an incoming message ping onto her computer. It was then that she remembered her vision of Shane, and the things that needed to be done.

She attempted to dial up Daisy Sun, but was soon hit with the face smacking realization that she couldn't just will it to happen in her head anymore...yet.

"Trinity, I need you to get a hold of Daisy Sun. She may be heading into certain death, and I kinda need her to be not dead."

She got her self up, unsteadily at first but it didn't take long for her to regain her balance. She strode up to the console and played the message from Annie aloud. She could feel the frustration and anger boiling up inside of her. Her now human mind couldn't help but wonder if Annie had always been such an insufferable b***h.

"You've got to be kidding me. Who does she think I am?" She wasn't about to let Annie have her way. Her fingers flew over the console as she dialed up a number she hadn't used since yesterday. She had to see if Acula had made any progress on synthesizing the bio-disrupter into a weapon.

"Daisy Sun?" Trinity said with a bit of a frown as she remembered what happened the last time she came across her She made a severely wrong decision because of all of those questions she was asking to a scared meta human who just discovered her ability to drop through shadows and didn't have all the answers she was demanding. She hoped their paths would never cross, though over the years she did cover stories on Trinity rescuing people and putting the bad metas in their place. Looking to her smart phone she found her number.

She watched as Gidget stumbled a little to get to the console then played Annie's message then dialing something else with frustration. She should really take things slower. She just got her body back she shouldn't over do things. Yet on the other hand... if Annie is right, we better be ready for Shane soon.

She stood back up and brought the hand wipes and Kleenex next to Gidget. "Gidget you might want to clean up a little before calling people. You've got blood and snot all over your face." she didn't mind if she didn't use it, at least she was aware.

With a sigh, she stepped away, and called the reporter, Daisy Sun.
"Hello, may I speak with Daisy Sun?"

Gidget looked down at the wipes and then at Trinity. "I've got what?" She put her hands to her nose and mouth, then inspected what was left on her hands.

"Oh ew...ew ew ew ew." She snatched up as many cleaning tools as she could and then started wiping furiously at her face and hands.

Christian narrowed his eyes at Gidget as he watched her work and frowned when he heard his mother's message. Gidget was right, of course, though he was surprised Annie had agreed to work with someone in exchange for this. One, she was probably thinking she wasn't going to survive killing Shane- the biomass. Two, if she did she figured it was her job to do. He remembered how she had apologized to Alexavier and admitted that things progressing as quickly as they had was her fault. She had offered to let him kill her, even. She was hoping she would die, but she wasn't going to do it herself- probably something about her own view of morality.

"She thinks it is her fault that this happened to Shane," Christian muttered, despite how much he loved his Mom he considering giving up on her, after all she had given up on saving herself a long time ago. "He's a monster because of her actions, or so she thinks, and she has to fix it... she could probably kill herself if she tried and wants to, but she won't not directly." After that he fell silent watching the others work.

Daisy's eyes were closed as the news van was driving to the hotel where an attack was going on. Officially it was one of the terrorists using some horrific illegal weapon, unofficially it was meta-humans. Her headache was lessening as they came closer and closer to the hotel, which could only mean bad things. From what she has heard about the destruction she was betting that it wasn't the girl, well woman, Annie. She could do acid attacks, this didn't sound like that. That nerdy professor type that Annie liked so much, it had to be him. But, he wasn't a meta-human when she last met him. What happened in the past several years?

Before she could ponder this more she heard her phone ring- the one she only used for contacts with classified information. She picked up the phone, already suspecting who it was before she heard the voice asking for her, she was getting closer to danger now since her headache had practically disappeared. "Speaking," Daisy Sun replied. "This is about the incident at the Walmart and now the hotel I am heading to, isn't it? We're in big trouble, everyone, aren't we? I know the official story, and I've figured out some of the real story we're not reporting. I have a good memory and I am not stupid. And of course, the closer I get to the hotel the more my headache is going away. Closer to danger I get the less my head tends to hurt. So, Trinity, what's up?"

PostPosted: Sun Apr 22, 2012 7:34 am
"We need you alive and going to that hotel could mean your demise." Trinity figured she wouldn't listen to her if she left it at that. "How would you like to cover an angle that no one else will have? Instead of covering the current distruction like everyone is doing, you could cover how we're going to destroy the source of the distruction.". Trinity bit her lip as she made her suggestion it meant that she had to bring her here. But what better way to keep her safe.

“Could? I doubt that,” Daisy said with a small smile, her headache had left completely. “This is the clearest my head has been in the past week. Years ago, after the first meteor shower, I started getting headaches- migraines, the type you think about putting a bullet in your brain to stop the pain- they happen a little before bad things happen, usually connected to meta-humans, and they leave the closer I get to danger. But the pain hasn’t gone away, never like this, I have enough sense to know that still being over half a mile from the hotel and having this clear of a head is not a good sign- reporting in the middle of a warzone between a bunch of metas and Daedalus could get me killed, showing up at this hotel probably will get me killed.”

She smiled at Trinity’s offer and said, “Regardless, I’m not interested in your offer. Covering an angle of this situation is already what I am doing. I have an unspoken agreement with Daedalus, I report their angle on the events and they leave me alone, after all, even if it is probably the most useless and annoying power in the book, these headaches are more than enough to get me labeled as a ‘meta’ if they wanted to. But since they go away when I am around whatever bad thing is happening, I hang around. You don’t honestly think I stay in this job and not move on out of the goodness of my own heart? I was offered a job in New York, even, about ten years ago and I still said no.”

“Of course, I’m not happy with my agreement, but it works. And I’m not going to throw away my safety net, my web of lies I weave for the public, just to go to some other web of propaganda. What I would like to do is report the truth. Call me old fashioned, but I like the idea of honest, unbiased reporting. And the only reason I haven’t done that, besides saving my own skin, is that I haven’t gotten enough resources I am willing to squander to bringing the proof of the truth to the public,” Daisy said before pausing. “However if you want the truth reported and released to the public, I can ensure that will happen. Of course you have about fifteen minutes till we pull off the interstate to report live on the scene of the destruction being wrecked by a very dangerous terrorist and his horrific arsenal of weaponry. So, if you want the unbiased truth released to the public by me, you have only a few minutes to pick us up. And if you decide to take me up on my offer, be sure to pick up my camera crew with me right now. They’re good guys: they know how to make me look the prettiest on camera.” She was joking about wanting the cameramen so she looked best on screen, though she sounded as serious about that as anything else. She did want them to come with her, but only because they were on her side about reporting the truth. They were as fed up with reporting lies as Daisy was. However, she figured she would let Trinity decide if she was joking about the wanting the cameramen with her to make her look the best on screen.
