Raine looked at the girl standing before them, the uncomfortable feeling only getting worse. She looked at Orthae and then back at the girl wondering whether or not he had even seen her before. When she girl huffed at her Raine thought for a moment that she had been jealous of her but tossed the thought aside for a moment. Looking down in front of her she realized the small flower had disappeared completely. Does he know her, Raine wondered looking at Orthae, he doesn't seem like the type of person who would even do anything that would need to apologize.

Karin nodded her head slowly as he spoke, signaling she heard him, though she didn't know what to say. She was still busy staring around, but did look back as he dropped the staff. She blinked as she watched the smoke appear in its place. Now she was watching him, her head tilting curiously as he looked in a mirror. She actually jumped slightly in surprise as the doors appeared without a sound. She gaped at them, but didn't move. After he'd opened the doors though, curiousity got the best of her and she inched forward until she was almost right behind him, and then peered around him and down the hallway, trying to take it all in. She glanced up and gazed at the ceiling for a moment and then looked down the actual hallway again, wondering what was in each of the doors, and also squinting slightly as she tried to see what was at the far end. As he spoke, her ears twitched and she looked back at him, head tilted slightly. We're in the bedroom? she thought to herself, but didn't say anyting aloud. Instead she just nodded again and returned to staring.

She tapped her foot impatiently and awaited for him to reply.She shot an icy glance over at the girl."Well hurry up and apolgise so that I may decide if it's good enough for me or not."she said.Hatsu brushed white bangs out of her face and continued to wait.For someone so small she sure was being bossy.She knew that at anytime he could easily hurt her but she didn't care.Her spoiled nature was kicking in and she would do whatever it took to get what she wanted.

Suka watched as she nodded but then there was a thud-like sound and one of the Nightmares not far into the hall spoke through the invisilble wall that kept him from exiting the cage. "The bedroom is where you sleep, girl. He said the Nightmare's start in this hall...not where you sleep" Suka shot this Nightmare a glance and there was another thud coming from it as it threw itself away from the invisible wall against the opposite one. He looked down at Karin "Each Nightmare has individual abilities...the level one Nightmare who just spoke to you had the ability to hear thoughts. All the doors in this hall lead to the same place...and whether you enter through this one or the one farthest down the hall you will start from the same place in that room. So you don't have to wonder." he said this and then quickly looked up as the white mist brightened. The X that he'd given Karin began to light up aswell, and it began to heat up at the same time. They would have to travel into the Abyss if they were going to find out what the Holy power did...it left this white mist but he couldn't tell anything from this. "The levels reach up to 12...each 'level' has Nightmares that are of a certain power level...catagorized by what damage they could do if let out. The farther down the hall you go, the more powerful the Nightmares become...and at the end is the Abyss" he spoke and then waited for some sign of reassurance that told him that she understood.

Orthae smiled at the little girl, blissfully ignorant. "I'm sorry...do I know you?" Keeping a positive attitude despite the situation, he replied to the girl. "Apology? I'm sorry for 'destroying' your flower, if that's what you're talking about. Other than that, I have nothing to apologize for." Despite how much the girl was glaring daggers into his head, he kept a genuine smile and a calm demeanor. It took a lot to anger Orthae...a lot. One little girl huffing and puffing about a flower was a simple obstacle to overcome...but this girl seemed as though she were angry at him for another reason.

((By the way darkmiko2003, Orthae and Verin look nothing alike. They're fraternal twins, not identical twins.))

In all her anger she had not paid much attention to the boy'sappearence.She looked closer at him and frowned.
It's not him....she thought.
"Thy apology is accepted.Forgive me if I seemed alittle, upset over nothing.Thee reminds me of someone I hate very much."she said.Inside she felt like an idiot for getting upset over nothing.She looked over at the girl.She extended her hand to her."How art thee this day?Very well I hope."she said.Hatsu showed no emotion so it was hard to tell if she was being friendly or was planning to stab them in the backs.

The words that were coming from Orthae's mouth did not come as too much of a surprise to her. Raine tried to calm down a bit, assuming that he had everything under control, at least for the time being. She pulled her hand away from her chest and waved it around slightly, causing the ice to break away from her fist and fall onto the ground. The warm air was enough for the ice to melt into the ground. "Wait a minute," she said finally finding her words. "If you don't know her, then who was her attack supposed to be aimed at?"

Karin blinked, looking down the hallway as she heard a thump, followed by a voice. "I know what a bedroom is," she growled irritably, replying before she thought to wonder what had spoken. Then she glanced back at Suka for the explanation, shifting slightly as she realized what it was. She saw him look up though, and looked up herself as well, her hands still in her pocket. They quickly withdrew as she felt the X actually become warm to the touch, and she looked down at it uncertianly before pulling it out and turning it over in her hands a few times. Then she slipped it back in, her hand still around it gently. She didn't know what was going on, but couldn't help assuming it was because of this place. All the while though, she was listening carefully to what Suka was saying, not wanting to miss something important. As he finished, she nodded again, looking back to him once more. "Are they all locked up?" she asked suddenly, referring to the Nightmares.

Orthae thought about the question for a minute. "Well, if she thought I was someone else, it was probably..." Orthae's eyes widened and he slapped a hand over his face. "Oh heavens no..." Verin, you idiot... Orthae rose on his knees so he was eye level with Hatsu. "Excuse, might I ask who attacked you? Would you happen to know his name or what he looked like?" Verin...if you attacked this girl I swear you won't hear the end of it from me... Both of them hadn't even been here a week and Verin already managed to make an enemy...

Raine looked at Orthae, seeing the shocked look that suddenly crossed his face she wasn't sure what he was thinking. "What is it," she chirped suddenly. Standing up she brushed off her behind and stood behind him a moment allowing him to talk with the girl. Her shyness kept her from asking any further questions to him before he finished speaking to the girl. Raine wanted some answers as well, considering the girl may have tried to attack both of them and she knew she had nothing to do with it. In fact, she had never seen the girl before in her life.

"Not all of them...most of the ones in here are, but there are some Nightmares that decide they'll pretend they're locked up and come in here 'cause they can. The ones not locked up are supposed to be in the Abyss...these Nightmares in here are here for punishment or safety. When we get farther down the hall is when one or two might pop out of seemingly nowhere...they don't know how to follow. They still haven't got it fiured out that I'm better than them...anyway so should we start?" he asked gesturing toward the hall and beginning to walk forward a bit. If she didn't follow then he'd stop, but he really wanted to go into the abyss to find out where the Holy power had gone. He walked slowly but that was because he was taking count as he waited for her to follow. If he was going to have to find something else to do for the moment, he wanted to have something accomplished first at least. Once he'd found out what he needed o he would spring the question...at this point he actually thought that there was no chance that she would agree to it, but for the moment that was one of the last things on his mind.

Hatsu thought for a moment."He looks kind of like you.Darker hair though...and I think he had wings...."she said.Her memory wasn't so good since she had been shocked by the one who liked like the boy who was infront of her.She crossed her arms over chest as she thought more about him."He electrocuted me.....that jerk."she muttered.Hatsu wasn't planning on letting her grudge against him drop.She was going to get revenge and that was that.

Karin listened closely to the response she got, her ears tilted towards him attentively and her head tilted very slightly. She was still turning the now warm X around between her fingers absently like she always did, and she was wearing her headphones lopsided around her neck once more. He kept mentioning the Abyss, and it sounded like one of the places she'd least want to visit, even though she really had no idea what it was. Though, she also had a feeling that was probably where they'd end up going... She bit her lip nervously but nodded at his question and started walking behind him, slightly to one side and closer than necessary. She refused to begin clinging or something though. She'd only been joking when she said it, but when he said they might stop popping out of nowhere... Well, she almost felt like she was in a haunted house or something, except the things jumping out at them would be real instead of fake. Her ears flattened back as her eyes narrowed slightly, darting around and trying to watch everything at once in the hopes she wouldn't be taken by surprise.

Crap...it is him... Orthae thought to himself. "Thanks. I know who you're talking about now." Orthae stood up. "Raine, I have to go find someone. You're welcome to come along." Orthae would have to introduce himself properly to the young girl later...he had to go talk the ears off his brother. Orthae touched a finger to his earring, and it showed him a mental image of where Verin was. "The library." Orthae's earring and Verin's bracers were magically linked, courtesy of their mother, but only Orthae knew. Their mother did it so Orthae could keep a watchful eye over his overly-destructive brother. He walked back toward the gate, luckily for him, the library was a short walk across from the northern gate...

As she started to follow behind him he stopped counting and simply walked, the Nightmares began to grow in size as they progressed, the cages that held them being larger as this happened. Each door stood for the end of one section holding one level of Nightmares, and the beginning of another. Once they passed three or four doors Suka looked over his shoulder at her again. "So...how're you doing, holding up okay so far?" he asked this avoiding any kind of mocking tone in his voice as he felt another sudden urge to hold one. If it were anyone else walking so close to him he might have used that tone, but instead he used the same tone as a father uses when asking about some sort of competition their child is in. He hoped they might make it through this time without ny of the Nightmares getting cocky and attacking them...In this hall, so far, the Nightmares seemed to all be mostrous creatures with no real consciences, that was not the case but it appeared that way until they pased a couple more doors it would stay that way. As could be seen now, up ahead the sections stretched longer and longer, the cages being stacked one on top and one on bottom, two rows of cages that looked like that (two cages to a column, uncountable amount to each of the two rows). In the upcoming section the Nightmares began to look more humanoid...still keeping there natural monstrous looks but standing on two legs and having a more humanoid body. Later on they would look human enough to blend in with the public...right now they were only nearing section 5 though.
