More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

"I'm Deora." She said, shaking the woman's hand. She was still getting the law-enforcer feeling from her; as if she was, or had been, a cop. She had gotten used to avoiding them, for fear they would arrest her for her less-than-legal survival tactics.

Angel paused. Shock clearly shown in her face. No one ever asked her how she was. Most people were willing to be selfish if you gave them the chance and told them it was okay. But he seemed interested in her, and she couldn't deter him. "I'm..." She paused and frowned for a minute. She had no idea how to answer that. How was she?

The light in her eyes dimmed somewhat, and her sad smile returned. "I'm fine.... Really." She tried to laugh softly.

Theonis smiled at her."I see."Don't know the answer? Slowly he returned to the ground."Well think about it and answer me when you know it alright?"
Helping everyone but yourself?Maybe she lives solely for others? That's kind of sad. Or maybe she isn't sure of anything because she feels out of place because of her wings? Or...I'm just over thinking this I don't even know why I am thinking about it too much. Best not pry into it. She'll tell me when she wants to. he thought to himself.
"So what do you wanna do? Or do you just fly around all day hoping to see someone who needs help?" He said with a bit of a joke.

She laughed softly at his attempt at a joke, but shook her head. "I need to get some food for the others who are trying to make their lives here. We have a garden that we all try to tend to. But while, I guess we could live of of fruits and vegetables, what we really need is to try to find some good proteins." She paused for a moment. "There is a butcher in town who spares us a few cuts now and then, but it's not enough. If we had a way of making some kind of money, we could send someone into town to buy supply... but we haven't been able to do that for a few weeks." She looked back to him over her shoulder and tried to smile. She felt bad. Horrible really, that she had let herself freak out so much... Gigdet had been right.. She was hiding behind Angel so that she didn't have to deal with the unhappiness of life.... If you didn't have people close to you, you couldn't let anyone down. But her actions of wanted to run and hide had been selfish, and in doing so, she had let her friends down once again. And it hurt.

She turned forwards once more and sighed, her shoulders slumping forwards, but barely. Her mood darkened somewhat.

It wasn't like him but he felt like hugging her.You are more fragile then you look Angel...
"I um....kinda have money. Maybe it wasn't all earned legally but....Casino's were an easy target when I learned to control a small portion of my power. Those dice..." He muttered the last part. "Anyway I got enough to live without worries for a few months. Well when I was back in town anyway so I could help you out on that." He continued.

"There's no need to do this by yourself you know....Will you let me help you?" He ask softly not sure on how he needed to ask this.

The woman froze for a moment. She looked over at him with wide eyes. Maybe... just maybe... this was what she needed to gain her sanity back. Maybe when she waned a fresh start, this is what she should have done. She smiled softly at him. "Sure... that sounds... good."

It felt like he broke the ice. From the look on her face he could guaranty that he did that. He smiled back at her" Well then shall we be off? Think we got a lot of work to do"

"Yeah. We do.... and.... thank you." she smiled at him before she walked out of the building and into the sun and stretched out her wings. She turned and looked back at him before holding her hand out for him. "Ready?"

Gidget nods solemnly. "When Shane was injured by that metal guy, the old higher ups of Valhalla decided to use him as a test subject. To see if they could induce powers in someone by using purified meteor radiation. If it hadn't been for that, he would have been paralyzed.

The problem was this, they didn't do it for Shane's benefit. They wanted to make super soldiers. Mass produced meta-humans. There was an additional problem. The purified radians decayed his mind. When my body died, he lost his sanity."

The power he gained...it's a terrible one. From what you described, and from the picture I saw...that thing showed a lot of the same traits as Shane."

Trinity's eyes narrowed in thought. She stroke her chin for a moment as questions started to swirl in her mind. "Hmmm... Did they consider Shane a success? If so we may have more than Shane to worry about, especially with this second meteor shower they could harvest more to create more soldiers.

On the other hand if it is only Shane. It seemed he failed what he was after, so odds are he will try again. The metahuman girls may all be targets for him. That is if he's still on the same train of thought in trying to find you a new biological body...." she paused to see what Gidget could make of all this.

"Yeah. We do.... and.... thank you." she smiled at him before she walked out of the building and into the sun and stretched out her wings. She turned and looked back at him before holding her hand out for him. "Ready?"

"Ready when you are" Theonis said as he gently held her hand."Lead the way" And with this Theonis already began to levitate.

Gidget shakes her head, "Anyone who was involved with making Shane what he is died years ago. What concerns me is that from what I've studied of his abilities, he shouldn't be able to split off a part of himself. He is kept pacified constantly by a vapor that makes him unable to manipulate his body."

Gidget's eyes widen and she slaps herself in the forehead. There is an audible metallic clang from the impact. "Oh God how could I have been so stupid? I stopped the vapors for a few minutes so he could help me with Justine's procedure. He must have evolved over the last few years, and he split off a part of himself while I was talking with him through the glass."

Trinity would have been outraged if it was anyone else yet she smiled at her knowing to err is human. One of the finer qualities she'd admired was Gidget's heart of gold, always wanting to help in any way possible. Her mind drifted for an moment and she remembered a time her mom told her that Gidget repaired the stove top despite her mother saying it was fine that there was no need. As a whole, if something was broken Gidget will fix it she just can't ignore something that needed to be fixed.

She looks to her and asks, "Ok, we all make mistakes. To err is human after all." she said to try to ease things a little, "Do you think it may have been possible that he sent out more than one piece of himself in the amount of time the gas was off?"

She shakes her head. "He was only up close to the glass for a moment. He would have had to take it slow. He probably did it when he banged on the glass, so that I wouldn't pay attention to anything else.

I've gone in there before to talk with him. I miss him so much, but he doesn't think I am real. He thinks I'm some machine holding his sister's soul hostage. He calls me Agatha...he's the one who started calling me Gidget when we were children. I...I just don't know anymore."

She shields her eyes reflexively, even though she can't produce tears. She holds herself with her left arm and huffs. "I'm sorry. I should have told you a long time ago. He's unthinkably dangerous, but he's still my only brother."

Trinity watched Gidget as she hides the tears that won't come. She approaches her and wrapped her arm around Gidget's soldier, "Forgiven, you are still his sister and whether he believes it or not a sister that still loves and cares fo her brother. Don't worry we'll figure this out. One things for certain, I'm pretty sure my nerves won't let up until we get the results from the scan of the facility without a convenient black out during the process. Come let's head back out there and join our new friends."

"It's nice to meet you." She smiled softly as she felt her take her hand and shook it gently before letting it go. "So..." She sighed softly as she looked around. She could hear Gigdet and the other woman coming back. Turning towards them, she asked Gigdet. "What's good around here?" She hadn't seen a menu for her to look at, and wasn't sure if there was one, or this was more like, 'the special of the day is' place.

Taking off into the sky, she grasped a little tighter onto his hand as she lead them back towards the town. Her wings moving without any thought really. She'd been flying for so long, it was just like breathing now. A smile crossed her lips as she thought back to the first few times she had tried to fly. And the first time she had had real success. Ako had been so proud of her..... her mind stopped and went blank. She hadn't thought of Ako in years... she tried not to. Her smile shifted into something unknown, her face askew. He probably didn't care anymore anyways. She sighed softly. It didn't matter anyways. He was gone, and she doubted that he would ever come back.
