More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

" Yeah until I wake up with an additional arm." He watched Triniy drink her wine. Seems like she has done that before. Theonis had never liked wine. Maybe its just something he needs to learn how to drink but why learning how to drink something if you didn't like the taste? When she mentioned the mind controller he recalled his thoughts at that moment.

" Loosening our restraints or overwriting our needs....who knows? Whatever it was it really messed with my mind because I was conflicted between keeping the kid safe and jumping you."

"Yeah a similar thought about Christian caused me to try to fight it. Man, it was a struggle fighting.. It was definitely harder in the shower earlier...

That kid Christian, he's so serious. It makes me wonder if he has had a day of fun in his whole life. Kind of sad..." she ate a couple of bites and drank a little more.

" I don't think he knows how to have fun or if he even understands the concept of it. I mean he talks like adults do. He doesn't even act like a 3 year old!" He responded.

" And to top it all , he's a Meta. A 3 year old with powers. Must have been hard on you too when you were a kid and got hit by that meteor."

Sara spoke to everyone with a telepathic message as she got the water flowing through her gills again. Don't worry Larry, I'm okay. I probably shouldn't have fight the current to stay in the pool. That's the nature for most powers related to water I find. You really need to just go with the flow.

In the end the most important part is, nobody got hurt. Come on in everyone! The water is great! With that she did a couple of dolphin dives and started waving everyone in.

Larry smiled and clapped his big hands before sending a giant splash wave at his sister. The wave would've knocked her down again if she had been standing. She spits the water out and playfully glares at him. "Oh you are so going down."

It was then that she revealed another power that came with the transformation. The light seemed to bend around her until there was a distorted outline of her body. Anyone who had seen the film "Predator" would recognize the appearance. The silhouette skittered across the tiles and leaped at the big child. He laughed and tried to catch her as she crawled all over his chest and back tickling him.

Daisy shrugged, "I'm more concerned for my inability to leave this place because of my headaches more than anything. I had a job offer for New York City- a national news show- and even L.A., Chicago... and in the end I said no because my headaches only are manageable here. It's annoying, but I got over it, because even if I was worried it isn't like I could safely and sanely go to a doctor. I'm over caring about them anymore. If you want me to get them checked out here with your staff, I can, though."

Gidget snickered, "Tch, what I want? It's your head Daisy. You've been dealing with the pain for over a decade. I'm just offering the opportunity to find some answers that doesn't come with Daedalus knocking at your door."

Gidget took off the headset again and added something to the side of it. With a twist and a snap a piece of translucent blue glass slid over where the eyes would be. In tandem, the eyes of the suit lit up the same color. She smiled and turned them both off. "All done. Now, if you'd like a first account interview of the sort of weird s**t that goes on in Daedalus you can ask Annie and her son. She was there for a while, and he's only just been liberated."

"Yeah...I was 15 when it happened... outside in the backyard practicing for a play. For the most part I thought it was only physical changes. Though I do admit I thought I had acquired some weird sleeping habit because I sometimes I'd wake up in some other room or under a table. Still it was at least within the house.

Later on while walking my bike home. I tripped and thought I was going to hit the bike's handle bar on the way down. Instead I ended up at a near by bar, where I met Leviathan. The first other meta I met, there was a while that I didn't know if anyone else got effected. Things were a little freaky at first, but...then I met Gidget and was brought to Valhalla, as well as my mom.

My dad was on a business trip at the time. I could only imagine the look on his face when my mom told her what happened while he was gone." she finished her salad swirled took another drink of wine.

Wait, did she just say 15? That was 13 years ago! He still heard the rest of the story but was mostly taken aback by the fact that she wasn't as young when she got hit as he thought.

" Wait hold on. You were 15 when you were hit? That was..13 years ago. You spend one year of that in the shadow realm so that would make for 2 in this....so you're....29? I always thought you were..ya know..my age. Because you don't look like you are nearly 30. Damn." Theonis said as he pretty much explained it to himself.

"Actually, I am 30. Well, biologically speaking anyways. I was 28 when my parents died, it was near my birthday, and trained for 2 years. As far as far as what the government and my drivers license has to say I'm 28. I tend to get that a lot, that I look a lot younger than I am... people often thing I'm 21, I guess part of my mutation is that I stopped or slowed aging dramatically when I reached my peak.

Speaking of which... how old are you?"

" I'm uh...20.." He quickly said as he downed his drink. She was 10 years older then him?! He cleared his throat. It was all very awkward for him.

" Well that was unexpected."

“Maybe I’ll worry about the headaches later, I’m actually not feeling that bad right now, probably because things are so shitty right now,” Daisy replied calmly. “Besides I have things I need to do. I have a story to compose and piece together. Annie won’t work for interviews though, she isn’t likable enough. I know you’re her friend or whatever, but honestly, for the general public she won’t gain the right amount of sympathy. Her son, though, he may have potential. Most people are a sucker for kids and the idea of a kid being put in any sort of uncomfortable position upsets people. Hell, even I am a sucker for kids up to a point.”

She frowned as if she suddenly realized something, “How old is the kid, though? Hasn’t Annie been in Daedalus’s care for almost this whole time? When did she have the time to have a kid?” Daisy suspected that it may have been more of Daedalus’s choosing than Annie’s but she was a reporter and she wasn’t going to speculate on her ideas, at least aloud. Let Gidget and the others answer her questions.

Trinity eyes lowered she figured he was younger but not that young but then smiled to herself then looked to Theonis. "Well that may explain why we get along so well. My other flings tend to keep forgetting how old I really am."

Gidget walked over to a full body mirror that she had tucked in the corner of a lab. She removed the dust cover from it and started examining herself. She made some faces, and then struck a few poses. She had to hand it to Daedalus. With the exception of the crazy long hair they had done a good job of putting her back together and keeping her healthy.

"He's three. You're right on the money if you suspect that she didn't have him by choice. She was forced into pregnancy by the project leader in charge of her. They wanted to see what would happen to her, and what sort of offspring a metahuman could produce."

"You may find Christian to be a bit...unsettling at first. He may be three but he has the intelligence of a young adult. He's also incredibly morbid and frank. It's likely he's never been able to experience being a kid. That is something I plan to remedy once this is all done. There aren't any children his age around here, but there is one big guy who might as well be."

" Well I do have a thing for older women." Theonis joked. " But seriously..10 years. I can see why people forget about that. You really don't look like it."

"Glad to hear it. I do admit, I honestly don't feel that old anyway. It's not going to be a problem is it?" she didn't want to make him feel too young. She did love him the way he is and wouldn't care about the age difference.

" Why would it? I've got no problem with it. It'd be an a** if I would make a huge problem out of it wouldn't you say?" Theonis replied. " Besides how many guys can say that they have a girl who is 30 but looks 20?"
