More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Gidget stepped back so that she could be seen by everyone in the room. "The plan is a multi tiered assault against the biomass. We will be using the entirety of Valhalla's defense force to hit the mass. While they are doing that we will enter the mass and attack the core in tandem. Before I go into the specifics, I need to know that everyone is ready to do this. This will be more dangerous than anything we have ever done. The slightest misstep may result in death."

"Ready as always Gidget." Trinity said stepping forward and saluting her like a soldier would. She had been prepared for this sort of thing on a daily bases. But the question is would the others be? Theonis may be more likely. But what of Ako and Annie, they were no where when Leviathan attacked.

"Ready as I'll ever be I suppose. Can't really prepare for something like this." Theonis shrugged with his hands in his pockets. He was no soldier like Trinity so he wouldn't act like one. Freelancer would be a more fitting title. He had accepted his role in this plan without being aware of it yet. It would be nice if he had something to do instead of trying to slow that thing down a bit. Despite his current attitude he was still confident.

" I'm sure you've got all the bases covered. But if he can still use Alexavier's mind control then the only person who can go up against that is you......in a suit." Theonis commented. He had further questions but she hadn't even started explaining it yet so there was no point in asking at the moment.

Annie sighed, "Teamwork isn't my forte, but I am willing to be a team player- no stupid independent ideas from me- in exchange for one thing. Once we're done, I get to do whatever I want when this is over. I will let you, Gidget, have one last chance to convince me to do things differently once this is over, but after that conversation you won't stop me. And of course, we aren't involving Christian in the attack, but that I assume is a given."

"You think you can stop that thing- it was Shane?" Christian asked.

Annie glared at her son, he shrunk back stepping into Daisy Sun who glanced down at him but still said nothing. This wasn't her fight.

"I'll help in any way I can." Ako said. He had felt out of it for a while, but the thought of a fight was bringing him back into focus. The fact that lives could soon depend on him started to sharpen his mind, as though he were waking up from a dream.

Gidget panned her eyes around the room at her friends. She could see their determination, their passion, and their courage. It made her hands tremble. The excitement was nearly too much for her to bare. She began to giggle. Those who knew her as an adolescent would remember the giggle.

"I'm sorry, it's all so much at once." She managed to squeak out. As her giggle fit calms down she approaches a wide wall that is normally used to display holographic images of an X-Ray or CT scan. Her hands force it to display something that no one wants to look at. A small scale image of the biomass in real time according to satellite imagery. It looked almost a mile in diameter, and it was still growing.

Her giggle fit over, Gidget takes on an heir of seriousness. "The mass has taken on a consciousness of it's own. It is using Alexavier's psychic shock to incapacitate anyone that comes within one mile of it. Cassandra's invulnerability is allowing it to grow without loss of physical control. The biomass isn't invincible, but it is very difficult to do lasting damage to it."

In the holo, long range firearms tear into the black and red monstrosity. It repaired itself almost as soon as it was blown apart.

"Do you see this gaping maw at the top of it? The made that looks like an gargantuan leech? That will be our point of entry. Trinity will get us as close as possible to the thing from a rooftop position using her shadow port ability. I'm sorry hun, but that's as far as your part goes on the direct assault. I need you to hang back and command our people."

"To enter we will use a combination of our powers. Theonis will create a pressure bubble around he, Ako, Annie, and myself. This is where it gets tricky. The biomass will attempt to kill, consume, or slow us down. If any barriers get in the way, it will be Annie's job to dissolve them. Ako, I will need you to shock anything Annie burns. The electricity will make it harder for the mass to heal itself since it will be busy spazzing out from electrocution. I will provide cover using heat based energy weapons. Once we are at the center, and I have been assured that I will know when we are there, I will administer the bio-disrupter directly into it using my small scale rail gun."

"Theonis brought up a good point. How are we going to resist the psychic shock. Well as he was also kind enough to point out, I have that base covered. Security force helmets will be equipped with psychic dampeners to protect them. The five of us will wear something similar. They are basically rings that fit around our heads. As we close in on the nucleus of the biomass, they will have to work harder to keep our brain's safe. That means that if we don't hurry as we make our descent, the bombardment of psychic energy will drive us well past the point of insanity. It will literally break our minds."

She looked around at the group, trying to get a feel for their thoughts on the topic. "If you have any questions, now is the time to ask."

It was...refreshing to see Gidget react like this. Like a normal human being. He hadn't known her for long but this is the way it was supposed to be he thought.

Theonis nodded as Gidget explained her plan. It mostly a confirming nod to himself. It sounded solid. He couldn't do it any better himself. Not that he would or if he even could for that matter.

" So I'm in charge of keeping us alive till we reach our destination huh? Hmmm...I'll make it work" He replied as he looked at his hands. Holding them apart he created his bubble between them. He had already used that against Daedelus when they were raiding the Warehouse. But that was just a small bubble that used centrifugal force to deflect. It wouldn't be enough if sharp tendrils decided to pierce it. It needed to be like thick plating or scales. Scales would be better since they would overlap better. But how would he apply it?

While tinkering with it, he spoke up. " What if we encounter a small horde of his little minions inside of him? I take it we'd need to keep on moving and try to ignore them if we can yeah?"

Trinity sighed to herself and thought Oh well. She does have a point.
"I suppose the troops will be keeping the biomass busy from the outside distracting it from what's happening on the inside, right?"

"Break down barriers, right," Annie muttered. "Shouldn't be too hard. It's biological matter, hydrochloric acid is one of the best bets for dealing with that, and it's my specialty. Unfortunately I have my limits, the biomass doesn't seem to. Sounds like a suicide mission, for me at the very least: I'm up for it."

She sighed and added, "Of course, I should ask a few questions. Those rings, mine will prevent me from using my greatest defense- my liquid body ability- unless you accounted for that, which knowing you, Gidget, you probably did. Alexavier could get to me even when I was pure liquid, not as easily, but he still could. Regardless, I probably shouldn't liquify unless absolutely necessary, right? I need to preserve as much energy as possible to remove barriers. Is that the case?"

The thought of going inside the grotesque mas on the screen made Ako feel a bit queasy, but it seemed that it had to be done. One thing was certain; the jacket was staying home on this one. Gidget's idea of the psychic dampeners worried him though. "How well will these things hold up against electricity? I'm going to have to focus on each shot to avoid hitting you all, I don't want to have to worry about these things attracting a bolt or shorting out while we're in there."

Gidget zoomed out the image to display the bio-beasts engaging ground forces, and there were even a few flying variants. "Trinity and Theonis' points are actually one and the same. With the combined effort of Valhalla's forces, the biomass will have no choice but to throw it's troops at them."

"Annie, I couldn't find a way to adapt the bands to behave the same way your body suit does. But there really is no telling how the biomass will react once it realizes what we are doing. So until we start the operation, we will do everything we can to preserve our energy."

"And Ako, the bands are laced with rubber. So you don't have to worry about them acting as a conductor. However...what happened to the modified Tesla cannon I made for you thirteen years ago? Don't tell me you lost it." Gidget placed her hands on her hips and gave him a look that could only be topped by their, until recently, scarlet haired southern friend.

Ako tensed a bit as Gidget put him on the spot. "I didn't lose it. It got shot. And maybe melted a little bit. I still have it, though. It's in the saddle bag of my bike."

He'd hated the thing at first, it reminded him of the time he'd tried to rid himself of his powers, and of how much he hated having them. He'd kept it, though, because it reminded him of the pink-haired kid he used to know, and the few friends he'd left behind when he ran off. He'd almost never used it, except to get rid of some particularly annoying nuisances he'd come across in his travels. He could remember exactly how it looked sitting in that saddle bag, scratched, dinged, with the two matching bullet holes on either side and a few melting electronics inside.

"I see..." Trinity said softly. She started thinking about what formations her troops should take in the head on onslaught. Her eyes went toward Theonis. She would love to get her input about this, to see if he could find any weak points in her part of the plan. Though it would be better if he knew all the possible formations they tend to use but there wasn't time for that now. Yet if he could find holes in her plan ahead it would help greatly. There's not denying that not all of her troops would not be coming back, but if possible she would like to bring back as many as she can.

Considering the upcoming battle she knew she would have to gear up more than usual. On that thought, she knew the troops would have too as well. She sent a text to the captain:
[Prepare the troops for a defense against a code red.
I'll be down to indicate what the course of action is when I have the plan in place.]

She waited for his usual quick response.

Theonis noticed Trinity eyeing his way. Was she just worried or was it something else? Probably just worried. His mind started to drift though and soon he let go of his little sphere. It vanished on the spot.

" Say are we the only ones going after this thing? What about Daedelus? This involves them just as much. Aren't they funded by the government to stop things like this from happening? Doesn't seem right if we are the only ones spilling our blood"
