More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

" Hey no fair! " Liv giggled as she protected herself from Kerana's tail attack. She returned the favor by swiping her arm across the water to make a bigger splash. But since they were playing she used her power to change the color to silver. So she splashed silver water towards Kerana. After that she tossed up some ' fireworks' . Which really were just small orbs of light that exploded into many different colors. Without the bang though.

Theonis closed his eyes briefly and focused his breathing. The power up would have been really welcome. Like...really welcome. He was getting nervous. The power up would be more of a moral boost for him. It was all so damn close now. However he refused to believe it was a suicide mission. After all..he made a promise to come back to her.

Opening his eyes again he moved over to Trinity.
" Hey Trin, um...can I like...have a katana or something? Might not help but..I should be able to cut through anything. Ya know in case they have their hands full. " There were a few very short pauses as he spoke." Ah...maybe a different outfit? Haha....its all superficial but..if it makes me feel a bit more confident because that seemed to have hidden partially now." Yep he was feeling the pressure of the mission now.

Trinity could tell that he seemed very nervous right now with the way he spoke. "Come with me" she simply said as they were exiting the room, "Theonis, you're not sounding like your confident self. What's wrong? Is your part of the mission getting too much for you to handle?"

"Something to rank over power exhaustion, my recent broken ribs, acid burns, and natural child birth without pain medicine," Annie said falsely cheerful, "I love difficult things." Cracking her neck she grew more serious, noticing the sinking confidence of Theonis, Gidget's slight annoyance at her, and Trinity's care for both Gidget and Theonis. Growing kinder she said before Theonis and Trinity left, "Theonis, don't worry. You'll be fine. Without practically any practice you were able to almost beat Shane already. You would have if it wasn't for my interference."

"Anyways, I'm heading to the cafeteria for some donuts- maybe an even dozen will do me, or really push it and hit thirteen for luck," Annie continued. "If anyone cares to join me, feel free. Don't worry, Gidget, I promise to behave for now until the mess with the biomass is over."

" That was before he-!....But thanks." Theonis replied. After which he turned his attention to Trinity. " You should have seen me before my exams. Man I was a nervous wreck....and..to be honest, there is so much riding on the success of this thing. I am no soldier, I'm just a guy who got his powers a month ago and now this! I'll pull through alright but the nerves just won't go down."

" So uh....a suit and a sword would be nice."

As the others left, Ako looked to Gidget. He still wondered at the fact that the girl had essentially been a robot no too long ago. She'd been out of a regular, fleshy body for so long, and here she was so quickly getting used to it. Though, it had to be something similar to walking or riding a bike; you never really forgot how.

He also wondered about their mission, if they were up to it. It was obvious how years of being something more than human had affected some of them, himself being the most obvious to him, and he wondered if it had affected the others in more subtle ways. He tried to push such thoughts away, knowing that now wasn't a good time for them. He had to distract himself. A walk would be nice.

"Hey, Gidge?" He started, "If I run down to the garage to get that cannon, do you think you have the time to look at it? I think it may need some work."

Gidget sighed and smiled at Annie. "Thanks, I appreciate it. We'll get things figured out."

She waited for the others to leave. She had almost forgotten about Ako's presence until he spoke. She could feel every response fire in unison: the knot in her stomach, the warmth of her face, her skin crawling in anticipation, and a strong desire for him. The latter was something she had never experienced before.

Then it occurred to her. They could all be dead in a few hours. She was certain that her plan was solid, but then so had her plan for Valhalla's defense thirteen years ago. What if she never tells him.

It was at that point that she released any control. She threw herself into Ako and clung to the front of his shirt with her small fingers. She buried her face in his chest and wept. She trembled, almost violently, while trying to speak to him between the sobs. Her words came out a blubbering mess.

" That was before he-!....But thanks." Theonis replied. After which he turned his attention to Trinity. " You should have seen me before my exams. Man I was a nervous wreck....and..to be honest, there is so much riding on the success of this thing. I am no soldier, I'm just a guy who got his powers a month ago and now this! "For the armor, I'll check with Gidget to see if she already had something in mind..." Trinity was about to step back into the room and she saw her, clinging to Ako well, it's about time... better ask a little later... I guess I'll send her a text so she can respond later
She turned to Theonis, "um... on second thought let's go to the training facility there's something I'd like to cover first before we go charging in there." She lead the way holding his hand, with a smile.

Theonis was a bit surprised about Gidgets small break down with Ako. Then again he didn't know their past. As Trinity pulled him away he felt a bit more at ease. Maybe something as simple as holding his hand helped or just being around her. For now he was thankful for anything that helped keep his mind off of it. And luckily for him his mind started working again.

" Something you have to cover first? You mean that technique from your master? I don't think that would do you any good against something of that size."

"oh no...that technique is very advanced and only Shadow Manipulators could do that..." They enter the Training facility and entered one of the rooms. "Here is what I propose, when you are protecting everyone with your sphere try doing something like this..." she stepped away from him. Then surrounded herself with a sphere with spikes. The shadow sphere became a little translucent so Theonis could see her. "It may help in cutting things back."

Annie raised a brow at Gidget's outburst with Ako, it didn't surprise her, but it annoyed her, along with Trinity and Theonis holding hands. "Oh so many happy couples: I think I'm going to puke," she muttered as she walked out of the room. She headed down to the cafeteria, almost surprised that no one stopped her, though everyone seemed distracted with each other. She wasn't going to stay around and be a fifth or third wheel.

Finding herself in the cafeteria she ordered an even dozen of various donuts and sat down at a corner table and sighed as she began to eat, not pausing to even try to enjoy the taste. "Maybe if I'm lucky I won't live through this mess," muttered Annie at her lonely table. She didn't have energy to be happy for everyone else when she wasn't.

" Hmmm, it would actually be a bit harder for me to do that Trin. I control pressure, which is close to kinetic energy now that I think about it. It's ah..." Theonis ruffled the back of his head a bit. " It's kind of strange to explain it. But it's mostly formless but I can do things like sphere's because it's just slightly bending the energy. Making an actual sharp corner is.....hard for me right now." Theonis said a bit slowly as if trying to find the correct words for it. He had never explained it like this before.

He created his own bubble around him as he imagined back in Gidget's lab. At first it was one layer but after that he added a couple more each rotating differently.

" If I want to...I can have the outer layer act like razor. Cutting something is essentially focusing energy on a very small surface. Again....pressure. So if I focused that on the outer layer it should be able to cut pretty much anything but I am not sure if I should do it on the long run. I have no idea what Ako's output is and how long both him and Annie can keep it up." Theonis said. But as usually it was mostly to himself as he was getting lost in though.

His layers each began to rotate up faster and faster until it began to actually sucking the air towards. When Theonis noticed this he instantly let it go.

" Hmm...that was unexpected."

Ako swayed on his feet a bit as Gidget pressed into him. She had caught him of guard, though her slight weight was easy to catch. He felt her fingers grip his shirt, felt her tears seep through the fabric. He wrapped his arms around her to stop her trembling, pulling her close. He didn't say anything at first, just gave her someone to shed her tears on, not bothering to try and shush her as she tried to say what was wrong.

He knew he probably wasn't the most perceptive person, and he knew he had an anger issue. He knew he didn't have the greatest people skills, but he always cared about his friends, especially Gidget. Ever since they'd all moved in together, thirteen long years ago, he'd cared for her. He would do anything to help her, even facing his greatest fears, risking his life to save her from that man Ray. His biggest regret was not being there to save her from Leviathan. It tortured him that he'd let her die, he fled before he even knew what he was doing. He'd stayed gone until he heard her name on the news, talking about her medical invention. He didn't know whether to believe it or not. It had to be someone else. It took him years to finally work up the courage to return, to find the girl he thought he'd lost.

Now, seeing her grown up, seeing her in a new body, her old body, he knew that little girl was indeed lost, but she'd been replaced by the woman who stood before him now. As if waking from a trance, he saw her beauty, saw who she'd become. He raised a hand from her back to stroke her hair, and kissed the top of her head, hoping to get her to look up.

"It will be okay." He said, his voice softer than usual. "I won't let anything happen."

His confident smile was back. He had someone to fight for, and he'd fight to the ends of the Earth and back for her.

Gidget's heavy sobs began to slow themselves after Ako had kissed the top of her head. It was a sensation that she had always thought of. Hell any sensation at all. She looked up at Ako and directly into his eyes.

"All of this...I...Ako. You know I...well...when I was younger...but now...in a few hours...we'll...and then...f*ck it."

She jumped up and thew her arms over his shoulders and behind his neck, pressing her lips against his. She squeezed her eyes tightly as she felt the warmth of his body against hers.

Ako could almost understand what Gidget was trying to say as she looked up at him, but her next action filled in the gaps. He held her closer as it became obvious that this was no simple peck on the lips. This was a show of affection it seemed that she'd been holding back for some time. He wanted to go farther, his hands wanted to move, but he was cautious. This could just be a momentary lapse in control on her part. It could just be her mind getting used to having emotions again. But what if it wasn't?

Even if Gidget's love was true, what about Tansy? He'd fallen in love with the angel soon after they'd met. It had never gotten too serious, but she seemed to have fallen apart while he was away. He couldn't forget seeing her clinging to Theonis. It made his blood boil, but then, that had apparently been another personality. Even after they'd gotten rid of it, though, she'd seemed distant. He felt guilty for wanting to move on, but his mind shut off in the heat of the moment, only focusing on Gidget as she clung to him.

Gidget savored the moment and took in everything at once: the way he smelled, tasted, and the heat of his embrace. It was everything she had ever wanted. Except that now she was an adult. She felt a sensation that was strange to her, yet she knew what it meant.

She reluctantly pulled her lips away from Ako and breathed heavily. She was still close enough that her warm breath could be felt on his lips. She slid her hands back and cradled his jaw. She looked into his eyes, the gloss of tears still giving her eyes a moist sparkle.

"Oh God, Ako. I've been a machine for thirteen years, dreaming of this very moment. I've never felt anything like this before. It's overwhelming. I feel alive. I feel human."

She wrapped her arms around him again, this time placing her head beside his. With bated breath she whispered, "Take me, Ako. Make me feel like a woman."
