Some time later Gidget was laying atop Ako, tracing the contours of his arm and chest muscles. The exam table was big enough for one, but she didn't mind sharing the space with him in the slightest.

The sweat ran off her body, mixing with his. Her breathing was calm and content. At some point the braid Cassandra did for her had become undone. Her long, brown hair draped over the two of them like a blanket.

She closed her eyes and smiled as she listened to his heartbeat. She could feel her heartbeat as well. Everything at this moment was right. It was everything she had ever dreamed of. She drew in a deep breath, and sighed sweetly.

Ako's eyes were focused past the ceiling as he lay with Gidget, one arm wrapped over her, the other supporting his head. He didn't speak, not wanting to change anything about this moment, except maybe their resting place. Even that barely registered as he felt Gidget's heartbeat. Any place would seem like a good resting place with her. He looked down at her and smiled as she sighed, and stroked her long brown hair.

But even the heavenly peace that laying with a woman who loved him, and he loved back, could stop his mind from eventually wandering. He looked back up at the tiles of the ceiling as he remembered the certain danger that lay before them, the mission that could end in their death. Gidget had a good plan on how to beat it, but what if it failed? There was no escape from this battle if they lost. He'd learned over the years that situations like that only had one real option, and now he could take Gidget with him.

"We could run."
He said. As soon as he did, he knew what her reaction would be. He knew that he'd probably just ruined what would have been a fantastic memory, but he felt it needed to be said, and he probably wouldn't be alone with her for a while after this. "My bike holds two. We could take off now, and never have to deal with that thing. If the others are smart, they'll do the same thing."

The idea of it was nice to him. He could imagine the scene; he and Gidget, riding off into the sunset, to disappear the same way he'd done thirteen years ago.

" Sure thing. Best not to alert anyone in here." Alexavier softly replied as he stepped aside. He could easily hide behind the door when Shane would open it and remain there until it was safe.

Shane got up and opened the door enough to look down at a three year old Agatha Morris. She held her doll up to him. The toy was missing an eye. No doubt, Shane thought, removed on purpose so he could play doctor.

Shane took the doll and gave it a quick once over. "This is pretty serious. She'll probably have to stay overnight for obser...so we can make sure she's healthy."

"Fix her now."

"Afraid I can't. Replacing an eye is hard work. You can come visit her in a little bit to see how she is doing."

"Promise?"

"Big brother promise."

Little Gidget grinned and hopped excitedly. She knew her doll was in good hands. Having been given a satisfactory answer, Gidget bounced down the hallway to her room.

Shane sighed and closed the door. He placed the doll on a shelf next to some Star Wars models. He then looked over at Alexavier and asked, "Now what?"

Gidget was snapped out of her euphoria violently. Run...like he did thirteen years ago. Part of it sounded great. Just ignore the giant fleshy mass threatening to enslave mankind into it's grand scheme. Wait, no it didn't. That was a terrible idea.

"Ako, you've fulfilled a desire I've had for a good long while now. It was everything I had thought it would be and more. It's more than a girl's crush now. I can honestly say that I don't want to be without you."

"So I'm going to pretend you didn't just suggest ignoring a global threat."

Theonis was a bit surprised when she explained that sword to him.
" You..sure you should give something like this to me?" He added hesitantly. Regardless of that he pulled it out of it's scabbard and ran his power over the blade.

"This thing is pretty damn sharp. Even sharper when I enhance it. Thank you Trinity. I'll keep it safe. Well...as safe as I can under those circumstances."

" Cute kid." Alexavier said." Now we take a walk. I would like to hear your opinion about a couple of things."

My hair kinda stands out though....as well as the eyes. Maybe if I can focus I can suppress it? Alexavier's hair became a light brownish color as well as his eyes. " Lead the way."

Trinity smiled at his concern, "Yes I'm sure. Besides a sword's place shouldn't be a box covered with dust. It needs to fulfill purpose and what greater purpose can there be than being part of destroying a global threat on humanity."

"All though it's a well crafted blade. Please don't do anything stupid to get it back. Even the finest craftsmanship can't replace you." she paused a moment looking into his eyes. Then looked away,

"Now I need your input on something..." she needed to stay focused and needed to make sure that her strategy was the best route to take. She couldn't have any doubt in her mind when going to battle.

Ako went silent again. He knew it wasn't the greatest idea, and he knew she wouldn't like it, but her words made him feel a little worse for suggesting it. Laying here, though, it was easy to forget about how real the danger was. How coul there lives be at stake when he was so happy, when he had someone like Gidget?

He rubbed her shoulder, and hugged her closer. "I just don't want to risk losing you." He said. "I already lost you once." He paused again before adding; "I guss that means I'll just have to fight that much harder."

" Hey no fair! " Liv giggled as she protected herself from Kerana's tail attack. She returned the favor by swiping her arm across the water to make a bigger splash. But since they were playing she used her power to change the color to silver. So she splashed silver water towards Kerana. After that she tossed up some ' fireworks' . Which really were just small orbs of light that exploded into many different colors. Without the bang though.

Kerana giggled as the silver wave came splashing trying to block it with her fore arm with little protection.

A lens captures the beautiful scenery through one of the cracks of the walls. This was one of them members of the Fan Club that observes the beauties of Valhalla. As some would call them the Vixens of Valhalla. No one could detect the presence.

After the splash subsided Kerana noticed her fingers. "Looks like I'm getting all pruny. How about you guys?"

" I'll try to prioritize myself over the blade."

"So what do ya need my opinion for?" He replied" You're not doubting yourself are you? Because I'm sure you'll lead these guys just fine. Or is it something else?"

Liv thought Kerena was right. She was in the pool for quite some time now. It's bad to stay in the water too long. Not good for the skin at all!

" Yeah me too. Well, it's time to get out then I suppose."

Deora smiled as Kerana suggested they get out. She hadn't taken part in the splash battle yet, opting instead to practice a bit. She had something planned, and now she could finally unleash her surprise. Just one more wave!" She called out as she ran her arm across the water, similar to what Liv had done. The similarity ended there. Deora waved with other arm, making a motion as though she were lifting and pushing the wave. The small wave grew until it was easily over Kerana's head, and splashed over the other girls and Larry.

Shane carefully led the way out of the house. His mother and father were busy in the office. No doubt working on the next big thing they can't disclose. He slide on a pair of shoes by the door and sneaked out the back door without making a sound.

The neighborhood was nice; the sort of thing you'd see advertised in a realty magazine. Certain parts of the scene were wrong, though. Shane could not tell the difference, but some things were either missing or distorted. It was as if it was being assembled from something that wasn't quite complete.

"Well here we are. I still don't know what you think I can tell you. I'm nobody special."

That's better.

"It's all we can do. We've been given these powers. Now we have to use them to protect everything we hold dear. Once we've done that...I'll take that ride."

Gidget relaxed again and allowed herself a little bit more time to listen to his heartbeat.

Heather had just popped her head out of the water when she saw the sparkling show put on by Liv. She clapped her hands in delight. Larry saw the big wave coming and placed his large hand over his sister's head. The wave went all around the small lizard girl, but it drenched her giant of a brother.

Heather was pleased to see that Deora had gotten a good grasp of her power. She cheered for the girl aloud, "Way to go girl! I guess no one will ever be beating you in a splash fight."

Can he seriously not see this? The horizon isn't even clear. It's all messed up! But Alexavier decided not to mention that at the moment.

"Yet, You are nobody special yet. You will be in time however. Now what do you think again telepathy, super human strength and Telekinesis. Can such a thing be possible?" Alexavier spoke up as they begun to walk.

"I don't have any doubt in my leadership abilities. I just need a second opinion on the plan I have in mind to divert the attention of the beast we're protecting ourselves from." she held his hand and took him to the security room that is in the back of the lunch room. She would normally go here when she needed to be alone to enjoy her lunch in peace while watching out for suspicious behavior. This time, with Theonis she pushed a few buttons and a 3D map drop down from the ceiling. She pulled down the specs of the beast based on what Gidget was displaying earlier in her presentation so that it is to scale in comparison to the building.

Digital miniatures showed up and she was able to point and moved things into place. When she had them in place she started, "Alright... so here's what I have in mind. First the psy-team will use their power to confront the beast's mind controlling abilities. Then we go in by helicopter where I launch you guys into the entry point.

After I'm assured you guys are in the beast I from up here will use the beast's shadow to keep it occupied while my troops take their places surrounding the beast. They will go in groups each having a defensive meta with a shield. The psychics and my lieutenant in will be up there with me and take over while my shadow golem disperses. I drop through my shadow and emerge along side my captain and he will be here by that time. We keep at it for as long as we can.

At my command when I see the first wave is falling, I send in the second wave hoping to give the first one enough time to recover. There's a third wave, just in case if the second one also gives out.

The healers will be on stand by, ready to heal the previous wave so that they can go back, in the next wave.

We do need to save the world and lives will be lost, there's no denying that. However, if I can bring home as many as I can bring home I'd be brought home I'd feel more confident in the plan. So, any suggestions, weak points you see? "
