More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

[Nova Blancke]

Alexavier sighed at first but then noticed the changes around him. He figured Shane could not see it since he would still perceive it as real. " Is it me or did it get a bit darker?" He needed to get Shane further away.

"Really I have no idea what Annie sees in you. Really that girl is a mystery. Giving her heart to someone like you." Alexavier mumbled but at an audible tone. It seemed he still was a bit crazy hopping from one subject to another but perhaps Annie would catch his interest.

"Annie, who's that? You're not making any-"

A horn blows nearby. Seemingly out of nowhere, an inconspicuous car appears on the road behind Shane. The window rolls down and his mother peeks her head out of the window. "Shane Bradley Morris, what do you think you're doing. Get home this instant. You're father and I will have a word with your interesting new friend."

Shane was about to protest, but a haze came over his eyes. He lazily nodded his head and started walking back toward the house. Shane's father opened up the passenger side door and stepped out of the car. After shutting the door he slowly approached Alexavier.

"Now look here young man. That boy has a bright future ahead of him, and we can't have you turning him into some sort of runaway. Why don't you move along now."

The environment began to become clearer again the closer Shane got to his home.

What? This is! Goddamnit! Way too soon! Alexavier's thoughts raced through his head. Now that Shane was walking back everything was becoming clearer! As soon as the man stepped out of the car Alexavier took a few steps back. He knew trouble when he saw it. Plus that feeling he had of being watched was so much more focused now.

" I was wondering when you'd show up." Alexavier said with a grin. He had to play hard now. He turned his head towards Shane.

" Gidget dies Shane! Her heart will be ripped out of her! Snap out of it if you want to safe her!" He shouted at Shane but he did not dare run after him. Right now he had his current threat in front of him and he was not going to turn his back to it. But he was ready to defend himself if he needed to.

Shane stopped in mid step. Memories began to collide and grow as the thought of Gidget losing her life struck a chord in him. Just as he was about to collapse, the Gidget from before appeared in front of him.

She floated to him and tugged on his pant leg. "It's okay Sane. I'm okay."

He smiled and embraced his little sister, glad that the memories were wrong...that the stranger was wrong. He took her hand and walked with her back toward the house.

The mother stepped out of the car. The father nodded his head in approval and spoke to Alexavier. The voice was now that of Legion.

"You are but a presence. We are in control. Surrender your mind to the Legion."

The parents took a few menacing steps toward Alexavier. Their flesh began to shift and crawl. Soon they resembled the bio-beasts from before.

A voice reverberated in Alexavier's head. It was desperate and panicked, yet at the same time meek. "Run! Run to Shane's garage. You can't help him now! The enforcers can't be beaten. Run!"

Gidget slowly raised herself off of Ako's chest, but not before she kissed him one more time. She stood up and glanced at herself in the mirror. The scars from the surgeries performed to bring her body back to life were healed, but still there. She touched the one on her chest, where her mechanical heart pumped.

"It's funny. For the longest time I sought to be free from that mechanical shell. Even now, I am still dependent on a machine to keep me alive."

She turned her head and peeked at Ako through her long brown hair. "We can come back to this moment again...right?"

Ako sat up, propping himself up on his elbows as he admired the woman that stood before him, looking at herself in the mirror. He was about to tell her that machines weren't all bad as he stood up, but he stayed silent as she looked back at him. His heart skipped a beat or two as her eyes peeked through her long hair to meet his, and he almost forgot to answer. "I would share this moment forever with you if I could." He said as he crossed the distance between them, a bit surprised that he could form a thought that long at the time. He embraced her in a hug again, giving her a short kiss, but made himself let go. Now wasn't the time anymore

"No, I think I'll pass. Besides...I don't have any good memories for you to trap me in." Alexavier provoked. Perhaps that was a bad idea but he couldn't help himself. In this situation where the odds were against him. When the voice in his head called out in that desperate tone he didn't think and just started running.

The Count of Monte Carlo

Ako sat up, propping himself up on his elbows as he admired the woman that stood before him, looking at herself in the mirror. He was about to tell her that machines weren't all bad as he stood up, but he stayed silent as she looked back at him. His heart skipped a beat or two as her eyes peeked through her long hair to meet his, and he almost forgot to answer. "I would share this moment forever with you if I could." He said as he crossed the distance between them, a bit surprised that he could form a thought that long at the time. He embraced her in a hug again, giving her a short kiss, but made himself let go. Now wasn't the time anymore

Gidget smiled sadly as Ako let her go. She pressed an intercom button on the wall and told security to let Dr. Acula in. She then asked for them to page Trinity.

"Tell her I will meet with them in my lab. Lead the doctor down there as well."

She released the button and started to gather her clothes. She took her time getting dressed. Every now and again she would peek at Ako, a grin spreading across her face. It was that moment that she promised herself this moment again.

She tied the over sized shirt off at her mid drift and sighed, "Ready?"

"No, I think I'll pass. Besides...I don't have any good memories for you to trap me in." Alexavier provoked. Perhaps that was a bad idea but he couldn't help himself. The beasts cried out and bounded after Alexavier. Their chops dripped with saliva as their claws tore apart the concrete beneath them.

"You need to be faster! They will catch you if you don't hurry!"

The garage door opened as Alexavier got closer to it. The door that led to the house was different. It resembled one of the doors from the hallway.

"The father is about to leap at you. Once you dodge you need to roll forward so the mother doesn't get you. Dodge to the right...now!"

The beasts leaped at Alexavier, their claws thirsty for blood.

Those thoughts were about the only ones going through his mind.

" Why did I provoke them!?" He shouted at himself as he ran as fast as he could. He knew why he did that though. He was just messed up. Obeying the voice inside his head, he jumped to the right. As he glanced back he could see that he barely dodged the father. Just barely! Following up by rolling forward, he ran towards the door.

The mother marked the ground where Alexavier had started his roll. In it's rush, the father ran into the mother. The stumbled momentarily, but were soon back on the chase.

The door opened. A sickly young man with stringy black hair stuck his head out and waved Alexavier toward him. "Hurry, I can't keep it open much longer!"

" Don't have to tell me twice!" Alexavier yelled as he ran towards the man. Were the circumstances different he would be amazed that someone else managed to survive with his mind intact in here. But this was not the time. Perhaps later.

He leaped through the door.

The young man shut the door behind them once Alexavier was through. There was a confirming click, and then the horrible snarling of the parents was no more. Now it was just Alexavier, the strange young man, and the endless hallway of doors.

The young man was pale and haggard. His clothes were in complete disarray; dirty, torn, and the occasional spot of blood.

He shuffled over to Alexavier and touched his shoulder a few times to confirm he was real. He laughed nervously, his face showing that he hadn't smiled in quite some time.

"It's you! You're The Overmind! I thought it was you, and here it's you! I've been waiting so long for another, and it's you!"

Man this guy looks worn out. And kinda crazy but it's not like I am normal. But...waiting for another? Did he have similar powers?

" Yeah, that's what it calls me. Though I don't really have any power in here. You okay man? Who are you and just how long have you been in here?" Alexavier asked. It was clear that the man had been here for a long time. He also seemed to know a thing or two. Things that Alexavier needed to know.

The young man stopped for a momemt and thought. "My name? Been so long since I've had to use it. The memory will tell me. The fox girl says my name. Alec! My name is Alec."

"I've been here for unknown. Was a person once, had powers. Foresight. Could see death, but unable to prevent. Could avoid chaos. Kept the fox girl safe. Then the chaos grew, and grew, and grew. Fought for so long, ran a lot. Then suddenly order. No more chaos, only the hall. Knowledge of your existence known to me. Part of the same construct. Your power created order."

"But you aren't like the other minds. You resist. Can because of power that you had. Had to find. I had to find you."  

[Nova Blancke]

" Well you just prevented death so thanks Alec." Alexavier said thanking him. Fox girl Kerana. Multiple people who he had dived into their minds to, knew about that girl.

"Kerana, was her name. Is her name." It had to be her. She's the only fox girl that was in both the mind of Trinity and Theonis. This Alec had to be pretty good with his power in order to survive for so long. And his explanation made perfect sense. The biomass needed his power to increase it's control over itself thus creating order. Which in result allowed Alec to move easier.

"Makes sense. You said you had to find me? To stop this thing? Because that is what I am planning to do. First I would need to wake both the Prime Mind and the Power Mind. That way the beast would weaken a lot. Perhaps collapse in on itself. But the Prime Mind should be first. That way he can stop Legion from draining my power and make things a lot easier for me."
