More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Gidget watched the exchanges with concerned silence. The doctor had not made a shortage of enemies. Yet she was determined to put his sacrifice to good use.

"It is not how tough his skin is that concerns me. What does is if he decides to purge affected areas. The deeper it goes the better."

She then turned her attention to Trinity. "I will address them when the time is right. No doubt a few of them hhave already watched it on the tv. I think they will fare better watching us leave to confront Legion."

Heather overheard the exchange between Kerana and Liv. She felt for the little fox girl. Memories of friends and family lost drifted through her mind. That is until the haze of water settled and she could smell something different. Minuscule, but there.

She waved her brother over and whispered in his ear. He nodded slowly and stood aside quietly.

Heather turned in the direction opposite of the smell and started to slowly peel off the top half of her one piece, revealing her glistening scales.

So Cassandra had bits and pieces of those memories as well....so that's why I couldn't remember anything. The memory wasn't complete!

" Alright, lead the way"

"I see. In that case perhaps it's best to aim for an artery when you find one. But yes the deeper it gets the better."

Annie frowned and asked quietly, now all business, "Is it possible to convince it to consume you with the weapon and contain enough of yourself long enough to strike. I remember when the biomass consumed that boy Alec- the fox girl's friend- he was able to appear long enough to tell her and the others to run. Shane had said it was an anomaly and that it was because he loved her so much. I was thinking perhaps... it's suicidal, of course, but one major sacrifice to ensure security of the whole..."

She trailed off and glanced at her feet and clenched her fists, "I could be wrong, of course. And, it is mere speculation. I'm not an expert on this situation, by far."

Leonard thought about it for a second but came to an conclusion.

" No, what Shane said was correct. I have no information about that however. But right now it has absorbed many more plus I believe it has perfect control over itself since it absorbed Alexavier and Cassandra."

"I suppose," Annie said raising a brow, "Well, at least Christian will be happy to hear that, because I would have been the volunteer, naturally."

It seems like they were doing some final preparations. She had to do one more thing before she could lead her men to battle.

She stepped back and dropped through her shadow. Noticing that Gidget did not wearing her coat that she let borrow earlier. She had one guess of where it was and sure enough there it was. The coat violently got pulled into its shadow. She emerged in her room wearing her coat. Walking over she opened the closet door which revealed some heavy duty armor. It wasn't as bulky as other reinforced armor. She got off her clothes then put on her tight pants then her top and buckled her boots. She slid on her fingerless gloves.

Then checked on her smart phone for any response from her sensei. She hopped nothing happened to him. She decided to try calling Teshoumaru.

Gidget shook her head in disappointment. "No one is going to play the hero today. This is a team effort, and we will complete it as such. Whatever happens, happens. We succeed, or we fail. But I know we will succeed. The plan I laid out earlier was given to me by Shane shortly before I was awakened. If anyone knows the ins and outs of the biomass it is him."

"He knew who I had available to me, and so he put together the strike mission. You all know how smart he is. He's managed to, in one way or another, outmaneuver us at some point or another. He wouldn't send us in to die."

"Dr. Acula, thank you again for putting a rush on the development of the bio-disruptor. You put yourself in danger to make it happen, and I wont forget that. We're not friends, but right now we aren't enemies either."

"Annie, I know somewhere you want more than death and vengeance. Shane wouldn't want what you are planning to do, neither do I, and neither does Christian from what I can tell. However, I wont stop you if you decide to leave. Christian will be well looked after here."

"Ako...thank you for fulfilling my request. You'd better be ready to do more fulfilling later."

"Theonis, I hardly know you, but Trinity trusts you and that's good enough for me. I'm sorry to put you in the position you're in now, what with your Dad being here and all, but I had no alternative. Thank you in advance for your help."

"And Trin- damnit I hate it when she does that. She must be doing something important though."

With that Gidget opened a screen displaying a countdown to Legion's arrival at Knoxburg. There was less than twenty minutes left. Below the countdown was another screen displaying a satellite image of Legion as it slithered it's way through it's opposition, leaving a trail of death in it's wake.

The speaker finished, and the crowd stood up in applause. Alec blinked and flashed his power for just a second. He knew if he used it too much he would attract the attention of the enforcers. After getting just enough to see the proper path, he waves Alexavier forward and starts to weave his way through the tables.

The woman the memory belonged to was clapping happily. She see her colleague succeed in his endeavor. More than that, she was happy to have a good man as her plus 1.

Standing beside her, clapping in false excitement, was Shane. Only, she didn't know that was his name. To her, he was Nathaniel. She had no idea what was in store for her. In this memory, she never would.

Alas the phone Teshoumaru's phone rang and rang and once again it lead to the voice mail. She hung up and thought, Looks like I"m on my own for this one... if that's the case, I have to be prepared. She put on her black trench coat then dropped through her shadow and emerged in the lab. She saw the countdown, not much time was left. She quickly walked over to Gidget.

"Gidget, we need to talk."

Gidget turned to face Trinity. " There you are. What's up?

"I need to make sure I can occupy Legion long enough for you and my troops can get in place. I was planning on using Legion's shadow to draw its attention. I can do it, but I would be tapped out afterward. Knowing this I tried contacting Teshoumaru but... couldn't reach him. So I thought perhaps the serum may be helpful after drawing its attention and everyone is in place.

It's not a good time to be tapped out, the real work begins after everyone is in place...

I know he said not to simply give me the serum in fear that I'd just use it to amp myself up for a fight. I do trust my captain to do as he is ordered to and nothing else. If you give a dose to him I'm certain he can make the call."

Alexavier closely followed Alec. It's wasn't his style to go around sneaking like that but right now it was the only option. He didn't bother looking at the people. None of his business.

"I am to blame on this so it is only natural I fix it. Or rather help fix it." Leonard replied.

Theonis replied with a smile and a nod to what Gidget said. He gave a good look at the screen. It was coming close and closer. It had to be stopped.

Gidget shook her head. "The odds of you and him being in the same location at that time are too slim. I want you to hang onto it. Also, be sure that the guys use their assigned helmets. The material should keep them safe from Legion's psychic attack."

Trinity's phone buzzes with a text message.

Kage chan, I assume you are heading toward the heart of that monster heading here. You were probably calling to ask for my help. This I cannot give. Not now, at least. I have infiltrated the enemy, and am close to finding out what it keeping Freya under their control. I cannot leave without risking her safety. I know you can handle this. Be strong, and remember what we taught you.

P.S. Gidget will probably give you the concentrated Ki. Don't use it until you need it. Remember that an overload of Ki could kill you.
