I repeat, Pokemon is the exception. The Gameboy Advance games are still $30-$35, and the Gameboy Color games are still friggin $20 used.
But haha, Princess Tutu is just so awesomely amazing that it is already making you a fan without you even watching it yet. XD

Haha, or maybe AZ is just cruel? Haha, not sure because I don't have any of those systems, though I have friends that do. Although I am used to new games being like $50, so anything around $30 IS my idea of cheaper for a new game. Or maybe Nintendo just hates Pokemon fans and wants to rip you off, haha.

I think it's the song from that AMV still, I LOVE that song, haha. I also got another Nanne Gronvall song while at it, not sure if I told you. Om min something something, haha. I like that song as well. Was Om mig something (why do I keep forgetting the end of names here?!?) the only song you knew, or do you know some others? Two songs is enough to have me curious ^_^.

Perhaps. XD But it's different with handhelds (or at least Nintendo ones; don't know about the PSP); they're always cheaper than console games because they have less memory, and therefore are cheaper to make with less pretty graphics and usually smaller playtimes. Generally new DS games go for around $30, then go down as time goes on. Gameboy games were the same, if not a little cheaper. You'll never have a DS game sell over $40, unless it was one that became rare and hard to find or something like that, and rarely do any even go over $30 to begin with. Pokemon's just expensive. I think it's the Pokemon company itself that jacks the price. XD;; They know their games will sell, so figure they can afford to get five more bucks out of each game.
I love that song too. <3 Not sure what the Om min song is, but I have found a couple of others. Surprisingly, they're really not that good. Only one I thought was really good was Håll om mig. The other ones I've found are Fördomar, Jag måste kyssa dig, (both of them are okay), and Midnatt råder (just plain weird). I think some of those might be her older things though, so I'd maybe check some other stuff out on Youtube.

Maybe, just seems after a point they wouldn't be moving. Maybe they just have enough money that they don't care that the games aren't moving off the shelves, or don't overstock as much as some games do, they can anticipate supply and demand better. I don't have a PSP but I think the games are more expensive. From what I've seen the graphics with a PSP are about on par, not sure about playtime. Though again, technological edge is what's kept Sony competitive. The way Nintendo being a classic and a better multiplayer system and Xbox being a better internet social platform have kept them competitive.

It's Om du var min and I adore it (not as much as the first but it is good), so maybe I coincidentally just happened to find two good songs right off the bat? I wasn't planning on making a financial investment anyhow, just - like you suggested - checking out youtube. I can email you Om du var min if you want to check it out (or you could look for it on youtube and decide if you like it, and then I can just give it to you if you do).

Yeah, I think they tend to create a bit less games than other companies do. There always seem to be less used Pokemon games than from other popular ones.
Yeah, PSP looked a little less awesome than PS2, where's DS is just a little more awesome than N64. But I have yet to find a good PSP game besides Final Fantasy Dissidia and God of War. Not worth buying a handheld for me. XD
Om du var min is quite pretty. Looking up some others of her songs, I still stand by that most of her stuff isn't that great. I am quite fond now of Evig kärlek though. Håll om mig is still my favorite though.
And thanks for the offer, but I have my... own ways of acquiring music, so I'm good. ^^

Oh there aren't any specific handheld games that make it worth it to me. My friend gave me his DS (for now, I plan to return it), and I like the games I've played but they aren't unique and the little screen isn't as nice. I just don't do that stuff traveling, I tend to get dizzy playing games in cars so if I'm set up in a room I might as well play on a TV.

Ok I'll check out that other song sometime, and yea, I mean I'd really rather not have another band to like right now, but if she did have anything else good might as well check it out. Yea Håll om mig was a wonder.

No problem, it's always good to "acquire" music ^_~.

What games have you played for DS? Personally I think it's Nintendo's best system right now in terms of game quality, so you might just not have very good ones. I tend to prefer handhelds anyway, because you can just lay and relax anywhere in front of them, instead of having to sit in front of the TV and worrying about dogs running over chords or people blocking your view.
Heehee.

I just meant that they aren't games individual to the specific system, not that the quality is bad. Anyhow I totally don't remember what I played...what was it 4-5 years ago on my old roommates, other than Harvest Moon...which I only remember now because that's what I'm playing now. Though this is a different version, although I think I like the old one better, this Island Adventure thing is kinda meh. Anyhow I can't play anything now because I need a charger, and I don't think he came home for spring break.

Anyhow I have my PS2 set up in front of my bed, so I can totally just lay and relax, I do not have dogs so that's not an issue, and generally people don't invade my room - although I wouldn't mind that. I feel very isolated half the time.

Ooooh, Harvest Moon. XD I never know what to think of that series. Like there are tonnnnnss of games for it, and half of them seem to be amazing while the other half seem to be horrid. You just gotta be lucky and get the good ones...
Oh, that does sound like a nice setup. I don't have a TV in my room, as my art work/supplies takes up most of it, and I only have space for a computer setup... under my bed. My bed's like six feet off the ground, another means to save space. That also makes it where I couldn't even watch TV or play video games from my bed to begin with, so I would be stuck in a chair. XD I love being able to play DS in bed. Playing video games on a TV outside my room is rather uncomfortable.

Yea, my friend said I HAD to play because it's better than Farmville on FB, for what I want to do, I'm not so sure. And I hate how much energy you have to expend and the days just seem so pointless sometimes, you can't get much done. Plus in the island ones you plant things 3x3 but you can't water the thing in the middle once the plants start to grow so what the heck?! Plus HM relies to much on the stylus.

Being a writer my supplies generally stick to notebooks and/or the computer ^_~. I do have my music stand (for my flute) propped next to a bookshelf, but my bed also serves as seating for that. I've never had an uncomfortable set up, even back when me and my brother didn't have our own separate PS2s and both shared the PS in the family room. It's a comfy room with lots of seating. Now my dad lives in there, but back then he didn't.

Also I don't like to have things too close to my face, I always worry about making my vision worse than it is, b/c I fear lasix, so the further a screen the better.

It really depends on the Harvest Moon how good they are. Like I've never played Farmville, so I can't compare it to that, but yeah. I find the best parts of the good Harvest Moon games to be the relationship aspect and the animal raising, over the actual farming. You don't even have to actually farm at all in a lot of the games; you can concentrate on other things. My favorite one is A Wonderful Life for Gamecube.
That's pretty nice, having so much room. XD I wouldn't give up my cramped little studio though. <3
Ah, I see. XD I really don't worry enough about that kind of stuff.
PostPosted: Wed Mar 24, 2010 10:05 pm
Yea, I don't remember being so annoyed the first time I played back on the old DS, I think the original game. This Island one seems to need too much farming and I can't get animals yet and I don't really have relationships, it's just characters that tell you to go places. Hopefully that develops more (if I ever get the charger) but for now it's kinda blah. Farmville isn't about character, it's just straight farming and farm design and stuff, but it's in a way I like. There is no work or effort or character energy. And there are craft projects, which are nifty, if stressful if you don't have enough friends playing (luckily I do, but not everyone does).

I would like to move out of my parents place, haha, I will next year, but yea, I've kinda been spoiled. Always had a lot of room. The room I'm in now - save for the dorms - is actually the smallest room I've ever had.

You probably had one of the better Harvest Moons then. There was one I played for the Playstation where I was trying so hard to make this seemingly-endless field free of rocks and logs that my character ended up passing out from exhaustion. XD;; That was probably the most fail one I played.
Well, it's nice to have the extra space anyway, I bet. =D
PostPosted: Fri Mar 26, 2010 12:14 am
Haha, yea I've done that too! Only in this Island one, the rocks and logs come back!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!! All that work, for naught.

Oh it definitely is, I enjoy space. It's nice with the OCD, the more space I have the more I can rearrange stuff, the OCD likes that ^_~.

My rocks and logs came back too after I passed out! I was like, "Nooooo!" and just never played again. XD Luckily it wasn't my game.
Yes, sounds like a blast. =D
