"Well, it is pretty weird. But that's why I think it's so cool!" Shojuto said, rather interested in the aspect of being able to change into any animal at will. It facinated him, he'd seen a lot of different beings, and different types of magic, but he'd seldom heard of shapeshifters, and never really recalled meeting one. At least not one that revealed their powers.

"Oh is that so?" He laughed at the thought of Mizuki transforming into a fish so suddenly, before telling him of her power. "That really would have been sudden." He admitted with a laugh. "Oh. Um, I guess that would have been kind of embarassing. I guess it's good you remembered then, there's lots of people here." Shojuto blushed slightly and laughed quietly.

[hehe..well we'd have to get him in a heated battle/really angry. ^^;;]

Mizuki laughed, smiling to herself. "Well... thank you!" She'd never seen another shapeshifter before either, but it'd been discovered that very far back in her families history, a female on her father's side had been one, and it seemed she'd gained the trait for herself somehow. Though, this was one of the first times she really had shown her power openly. She always had to hide it back home. She remembered the first time she accidentally let out the secret at school, and shivered very slightly.

"Yes, it is so," she grinned, holding up a hand. She spaced her thumb and pointer finger almost touching, with a very small space between. "I was this close to doing it too," she nodded. "It really is a problem when you change, wander around, and then find you've misplaced your clothing." She laughed again, not really seeming too embarassed about it. She guessed she was just too used to it to care anymore. Though, that was just talking about it. If it really did happen, she'd probably explode from embarassment.

Shojuto noticed Mizuki shiver, he tilted his head slightly and wondered if it was the light breeze, or something she'd thought of that made her uncomfortable. Insted of asking, and perhaps bringing something up that she didn't want to talk about, Shojuto tried to let it slide and pretend he hadn't noticed. The last thing he wanted to do was bring something up that would make Mizuki uncomfortable.

"Ya. I can see where that would be a problem." He said jokingly, laughing after his words. He couldn't imagine the embarrassment. Transforming only to find that when you want to turn back, your clothes are nowhere to be found and if it's urgent you have to put up with the embarrassing fact that you're completely naked.

"Eh, I get by," Mizuki said with a grin and a shrug of her shoulders. "It just means I have to stay in a different form until I make it back home, or I guess in this case, to my dorm room. Hopefully I won't get into that situation here though..." She glanced around now, taking in their surroundings. Yes, she didn't let on, but she was very relieved she'd stopped herself in time, and had only sprouted a tail and ears. Even if she'd just changed into a cat, she still would have met with the same problem. Even if she did know where her clothing was, she still had to find a safe place to change back.

She swung her legs back and forth a couple times, heels of her boots tapping against the ledge of the fountain. "So what do you do for fun around here?" she asked suddenly. She was never one to like sitting still for too long. After just arriving, she wanted to explore.

"I guess that would get inconvenient at times though. Having to either try and get your clothes to a safe place to transform and change, or get all the way back to your dorms, or your house. Just so you can change in privacy. It seems like a pain in the butt." Shojuto tilted his head while looking at Mizuki, thinking for a moment. "But looking past all of that. It seems like a pretty cool power to me. Mine is pretty boring. I have other feats, but as for magic, I wasn't born very well off."

Shojuto flicked his head back slightly, getting his loose hair back out of his eyes. "Well, I don't really do much. Yesterday I spent the entire day exploring the grounds, and past that, as far as I could go. I hadn't really had the time when I first arrived. But other then that, I haven't done much. Just gone to the library to read, trained, or hung out with my sister."

Mizuki continued swinging her feet gently against the ledge as she listened to his reply, her head bent downwards slightly as she stared rather intently at the grass. "Yeah, I guess..." she shrugged. "But sometimes I accidentally let something pop out, like a tial, and that's when it causes trouble. Because, you know, it's not every day you're waiting in the check out line of a store and the girl in front of you suddenly sprouts a tail. I thought that lady was going to have a heart attack, and then I was sure I was going to be shot." But she just laughed, shaking her head as she quieted again.

She glanced up at him now, head tilted slightly. "So you've been everywhere then? What are the best places to visit? If you don't mind my asking... I just arrived and I kinda want to know what I've gotten myself into. Oh, but you have a sister here? That must be nice."

Shojuto nodded at Mizukis responce, noticing that she was swinging her feet against the ledge. Probably getting bored of me already. Damn, if I actually had a life I'd probably be more interesting. "Well, I guess that would get inconvenient too. But, this is a big world filled with strange and different people, to be honest if something like that happened to me, I'd be surprised, but in a way I'd expect it. Anything can happen here." He said with a nod.

"Well, in my opinion. The best place to go if you want excitement is the mall. If you like that kind of stuff at least. So I guess it really depends on your interests when you're deciding what the best places to visit are." Shojuto thought for a moment to himself, and replyed yet again. "Well ya, I have a twin sister, her name is Kietaru. But she can be a pain sometimes." He said jokingly.

"Ah well... This happened in a human populated town where I grew up, while I was trying to buy myself a CD. It was really inconvienent really. But, I almost made the news!" She laughed, at herself again, and then sighed quietly. "But this place seems pretty cool. You still looked surprised when you saw, but at least you didn't try to shoot me or anything. Or call me a monster..."

She trailed off as she pushed the thoughts away and refocused as he replied to her next questions. "A mall... I'm not too fond of overly crowded places, for reasons I've already mentioned. If I feel nervous, that's when I start to randomly sprout wings and such. But it's still cool you have someone here you know. I thought it'd take me a long while to find anyone to talk to, but you've ruined that idea entirely. Thanks though," she laughed, glancing back up at him.

[Gotta go in fifteen minutes.]

"The news eh? That would have been...cool?" Shojuto spoke, not knowing if she'd been excited about being on the news, or if she'd been irritated by it. "Well ya. I was pretty surprised. But like I said, anything can happen!" He said with a laugh, and stopped almost immedieatly. "Shoot you? What do you mean? People threatened you or something?" His voice was surprised, yet angry. But he knew first hand that the world was filled with some cruel people. "Being called a monster, I know that one pretty well. But I would never inflict the same insult on anyone that didn't deserve it completely."

Shojuto nodded at Mizuki. "Well, I dont really like crowded places either, never have. Especially because of what I am. But..after I saw a half man half squid running the cash register at the weapon shop, I realized I fit right in." He said with a laugh. "Ya, I'm thankful I have Kietaru, especially when it comes down to needing to talk to someone you trust. She's always there for me." Shojuto gave a light sigh before continuing. "But, I'm glad I've made your day." He said, smile returning.

Mizuki grinned. "Nah, do you know how many people would never leave me alone again if I was put on the news? It would've been a nightmare. Possible experiments to see how I work... Though, that's probably just my imagination making things up."

She suddenly waved her hand in the air rather frantically at his outburst. "No, no, no!" she cried. "I mean, yeah... shoot, as in with a gun, but they didn't know what to think. Most humans don't really have powers or anything, so they kinda freaked out when they saw my tail suddenly appear. It's nothing to worry about though. I managed to calm then down and show them I meant no harm. I bought my CD and ran like hell all the way home." She gave a nervous laugh, a bit irritated at herself for getting him worked up.

She breathed out slowly and tried to continue like nothing had happened. She frowned slightly as he mentioned 'what he was' like it was a bad thing, but didn't press the matter. Instead, she quickly looked back at him at his next words. "Half... squid? Now that's something I've never tried." If she wanted she could probably make herself into that, but she didn't see why she ever would. "Sounds a little creepy," she laughed.

"Eh, that's cool... I just have a bunch of little siblings, four actually. They're all back home with my parents and I am so glad to be out of that madhouse!" She grinned as she glanced back at him, swaying slightly in her seat. "I'm glad you've made my day too."

Shojuto shuddered at the thought of those cruel beings trying to do experiments on Mizuki so they could see what makes her tick. "Well, like I said, this is a big world where anything can happen. Nothing is impossible and people should just be aware that there's no such thing as normal. Anything and everything is weird to someone. They shouldn't have threatened you just because you're different."

"Ya, I'd never really seen anything like him either. But he was a pretty nice guy. He got some odd looks from people, but who doesn't. I've gotten some looks too, but only when people look hard enough to see my non-human flaws." Shojuto laughed quietly. "Four eh? Well, me and Kietaru are the only ones. Although, our parents never tried concieving after us. Our mother died, and our father was ashamed of us, and regretted meeting our mother. So he left us in an orphanage." He mentioned it as if it was nothing.

Mizuki bowed her head slightly, watching the ground for a moment. "I know, but... I can't really blame them. I mean, I was terrified the first time I changed by accident. They're only human, and weren't used to seeing things like that." She shook her head, glancing back up at him again.

She listened to him speaking, nodding with a smile on her face as he continued talking about the squid man, but it faded as he mentioned his family. She watched him for a moment, wondering how he said it so casually. She didn't know what to say because of it, since she felt bad about it but wasn't sure if he did. She came to the conclusion he did as well, but was just hiding it. "Well I'm... sorry," she replied lamely, shifting slightly in place. She couldn't even imagine. She'd been so anxious to get out of her house, but maybe she'd just been taking things for granted...

Shojuto nodded his head. "Ya, I suppose it would be something of a shock at first. But, people should still show more kindness, I can admit openly that I was taken by surprise when you transformed, but, I still think what they did is pretty overboard."

Silently calling himself an idiot for a moment, he responded. "It's alright. We coped with it. My father was an a** anyways." He was now feeling bad for ever bringing up that subject, he didn't particularly like talking about his father, so why did he bring it up? Not only that but he'd made Mizuki feel sorry for him. Damn it, nice going Shojuto.

Deciding that maybe if they went somewhere funner, it would lighten the mood, Shojuto made a suggestion. "How about we get out of here? Go somewhere more exciting." He smiled and tried to think of where they could possibly go.

Mizuki nodded her head with a smile. "Well, maybe that means people here are more accepting and... I'm really glad I came. I can't wait to see a vampire," she added with a laugh.

She paused at his next words, but again didn't know what to say. Rather than giving another pointless apology, she ignored it, hoping he wouldn't think she was being rude, and focused on his next statement. She began kicking her feet lightly against the ledge again, her face lighting up. "Yes! I'd really like that," she agreed happily. "I want to see what this place is like. Based on the dorm rooms, it seems like it'll be pretty wonderful." She paused, tilting her head slightly. "What exciting places are there?"

Shojuto smiled at Mizuki and nodded his head as well. "Ya, I'm pretty glad I came here too. This place is so filled with different types of beings, that everyone in a way fits in. So ya, everyone pretty much is more accepting." He laughed when she mentioned wanting to meet a vampire. "I'm sure you'll meet one eventually, there's actually quite a few here if you can believe it or not."

Trying to put the more depressing part of their conversation behind him, he breathed a sign of relief when she dropped it as well. His smile reappeared when she agreed that going somewhere else would be fun. "Well, I don't really mind where we go. It's all up to you. Where would you like to explore first?"
