More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

The doors contain the memories of a dog, a seventeen year old girl, a Daedalus scientist, and a police officer.

Alexavier shrugged. All this sitting and planning for things that might happen weren't like him. But then he somehow knew what was behind those doors. It appeared he could still sense them! Great, just what they needed.

"Alec, this door leads to a police officer. It's either that or a Daedelus scientist" He said as he grabbed the door knob.

"Good," Annie said with a forced smile, "because, I don't know if you were aware of the situation with Dr. Berchant who had my case- my son's father- but he pushed things too far. Tried to back stab me and you know what happened to him? He end up dead at his mother's house. I do believe that acid eating you inside out must be a horrible way to go. At least it looks that way."

"However, I can see in your own way you probably do care about Theonis. And since he is meta, that should be good news for me," Annie continued, "at least some." She decided that it would be best not to mention that she had burned Theonis with her power a few days earlier and helped Shane hurt him pretty bad as well. Water under the bridge, right?

"Anyhow, I wouldn't worry about your son being in danger: from what I've heard and seen he can take care of himself," Annie added, kindly. "You should be proud of him."

Ako gave Gidget and inquisitive look, one of his eyebrows unconsciously rising a little bit. "Yeah, I can do that, but it's not good for whatever shirt I have on, and it kinda hurts. What's you plan?"

He was really interested to know what she had in mind, because the Jacob's ladder trick was pretty useless against anything out of arm's reach. The arc stopped a foot or so past his finger tips, whereas he could shoot a fairly straight bolt over a football field if conditions where right.

Gidget smiled and placed her hands gently on his temples. There was a spark, followed by what sounded like her voice within his mind witch images to support them..

"Instead of using your bare arms, make the electricity dance along arcs wrapping around your arm. It will build up the current while using the flowing arc to give your ability distance and power. It will maximize output while conserving your personal energy."

She removed her hands and smiled at him. "Do you understand?"

Alec's eyes snapped open with alarm as he whipped his head around. He sighed uneasily when he realized they hadn't come. He shuffles over to Alexavier and hisses, "Must be careful with power usage. Intent to lure raptors, but not before we are ready."

He took a deep breathed and calmed down a bit. "You retain ESP. This is good. Will make location of weapons easier."

Ako's eyes snapped shut at the spark, different from the sparks he was used to. He hard her voice, but not her voice, saw pictures that shouldn't be there, but it made sense. He wouldn't have understood it if she'd just told him, but now, he completely understood what she meant.

His eyes blinked open as she asked if he understood. He was still trying to understand how she'd done that, and his confused expression showed it, but he nodded. "I, I do." He said, bringing a hand up to his temple where her hand had been.

Alexavier frowned. Why was this Alec to paranoid about these raptors? Sure they are dangerous but just step into someone's mind and leave through another exit and they are gone.

"Yeah, it does. Shall we?" He opened the door and entered the mind.

Gidget smiled at Ako with a knowing smile and a wink. She turned and faced the others. "Any last minute questions guys?

Alec gleaned his power toward the option of opening tue door Alexavier had his hand on. His eyes grew wide as he put his hands out in a near panic. "No no! Not that one. Raptor is hiding behind that door. Waiting for someone to open door."

" What? How can he even know where we are? This is bullshit!." Alexavier let out frustrated. He took a deep breath. "Guess we will be taking the Daedelus scientist then huh?"

"Hmpf...I never really liked Berchant. So I can't say I feel bad about losing him. True he had some interesting theories but theories were all he had. Besides you and your son." Leonard replied. Upon hearing what she said about Theonis his tone grew a bit softer." I am."

"Hmmm..I take it you want the bubble as small as possible right?" Theonis asked Gidget slightly ignoring what his father said. He needed to keep his mind on the game right now.

Annie shrugged at Leonard's comment on Berchant, "He was what some of the old women back home would have called a 'flawed individual'. But he was brilliant in his own right, I suppose." Considering he was dead it was easier to be generous to Dr. Berchant.

She glanced over at Gidget, "Questions? No, not for me. For me it really is simple. Purposely not use my greatest defense and try to dissolve any bio-matter blocking our way without overusing my power and dying in the process. Great. Looking forward to working with all of you, today."

" What? How can he even know where we are? This is bullshit!." Alexavier let out frustrated. He took a deep breath. "Guess we will be taking the Daedelus scientist then huh?"

"Mistaken, he doesn't know. Raptors play with your head. Start far away, then start popping up randomly. But yes, Daedalus scientist would be the best way to go."

Gidget looked at Theonis. "You make the bubble as small or as large as you feel comfortable making it. As long as you keep it up we will be safe."

Gidget listened to Annie's response and nodded. A bell chimed from behind Gidget. Gadget was done with her modifications.

Gidget turned and walked to the now human compatible Valkyrie armor. A lot of the bells and whistles had been removed, but it had what was absolutely necessary for the coming mission.

"Open." The front panels of the suit slide open like a block puzzle. Gidget placed the optical interface over her eyes and stepped into it. The interface lit up and the suit closed around her body. The face panel remained open as she took a few steps forward to test the feel of the armor. It was everything she remembered, which sent a small wave of panic through her.

Her eyes welled up with tears, and her breathing started to become quicker and shorter.

Alexavier sighed. Stupid raptors....Regardless, he moved on the the next door.The door of the Daedelus scientist and opened it.

Leonard saw Agatha's change. If his memory served him right, the last time she had worn a suit with her in it was when Leviathan killed her. Those memories must be coming back right now.

"Agatha Morris calm down! Leviathan isn't here! Remember that!" Leonard spoke to her. His voice was firm. He used to have a softer tone to children who experienced a trauma of some sort but right now she was a grown woman. Besides who was he to them to start acting all soft and gentle?

"Calm down Gidget."
