Courtyard (North)

Yuki's ears twitched as she heard him beginning to hum and she listened in silence for a moment until she chanced a quick glance behind herself. She growled softly again as she did so, seeing how close he was. Her demon side's competitve spirit caused her to speed up even more, her small paws making barely a sound against the grass as she ran. She was somewhat tempted to make ice appear under his feet, but that really would be cheating.

Lee Sped again, he could feel the wind across his face as he ran swiftly trying to catch her, he was gainning until she sped up and he had to alsp up th pace to reach her again. He was getting closer going almost full speed, his paw began to hurt from the bite but he kept his pace not worrying too much about it.

Yuki continued on, unaware that he was hurting. She just kept racing forward and around the courtyard, giving another strange, barking laugh as she went. The thought that she was being chased actually made her feel nervous, but as she reminded herself it was a game, she felt better almost instantly. She hadn't done anything like this, or had this much fun, in a very long time it seemed like. Back home, the other kids never let her play with them, but she felt it didn't matter now. This was just fine, and it felt good she was still able to do this at age sixteen, and so far no one had even laughed at her.

Lee kept running and now was beside her getting ready to jump and tag her. He was enjoying himself now more than ever. At first he thought she wouldnt want to play but he was glad she did. He kept running as fast as he could to her and laughing as he did. He sprang to tag her now, he jumpd high over her head and came down to tag her shoulder.

Yuki jumped as she saw his shadow passing over her, and tried to skid to a sudden halt so he'd miss. But she didn't act in time, and his paw did manage to touch her shoulder. She growled quietly again as she looked at him, now sitting on the ground as her tails curled around her. "You're bigger than me," she said suddenly, stating the obvious. She just sat there watching him for a moment, staring at his face now, but not quite his eyes. Still, that was a large accomplishment for her, especially since she didn't feel the slightest bit embarassed currently. Though, that could very well be because her demon side was so in control right now.

Lee laughed and stopped, his paw tilted down. He landed on it and it hurt abit. "well yeah but thats not my fault," he barked back laughing too get rid of the pain. He looked at her smiling his kanine smile, he barked at her again, "I am just a bit bigger, how old are you anyway?" Lee was curious to know since he was bigger than her but he wasnt that old at all.

Yuki blinked and then tilted her head. "I'm sixteen," she barked quietly. "And you?" She'd always been pretty small, especially in her fox form. She always had been very thin and frail looking as well, like she'd snap if you touched her too hard. That's why people also tended to underestimate her a lot, and she sometimes used that to her advantage as a child when she was being picked on. When her demon side came out to help, they'd often be beaten before realizing what had happened.

Lee looked up at her smiling still, "I'm sixteen aswell," he barked to her. He had not revieled his age to anyone therre though he looked older he wasnthough. People would ask him sometimes when he was on the street if he was eighteem or so. He loved for them to do that cause maybe he could spark a conversation but it never happened to him so he walked away lonely those times. He still was watching her holding his paw up from the pain.

Yuki blinked in surprise and then tilted her head. "Really?" she asked and then smiled back. "Well, that's cool..." Her barks trailed off slightly as her eyes went to his paw, which she just realized he seemed to be favoring. "I... thought you healed it?" She leaned towards him, but didn't touch it. She was just looking, and sniffing for any signs of blood. "Do you need to have it looked at?" she added after a moment.

Lee looked at her and laughed, "its nothing, my paw will heal later, I just healed it from blooding, the stupid wolf summon just bit into the bone and it hasnt healed itself. It will in time," he barked. He then looked at his paw and tilted his head. Lee could see through his paw to the bone, it was cracked and he was suprised he could even walk on it. He tried to set it down but it hurt to do it. "Well this isnt good, "he barked laughing at it.

[Oh, it's not your fault! It's my dad's for making me get off. xD;;]

Yuki whimpered very quietly as she looked back up at him again. "But, you made it worse while we were playing, didn't you?" she barked quietly, a few whines mixed in as well this time. "You should have said something..." She looked back towards his paw, wondering just how badly damanged it was. She wasn't able to look through to the bone or anything, so she could only hope it wasn't too serious. Though, it seemed like it was from the way he was favoring it still.

Lee laughed again trying to convince her he was alright, though he was in a good deal of pain. "Im fine, I was having too much fun to care that it hurtand besides if I could have this much fun everyday feeling like a cub again I would hurt all my paws and break my nose," he barked to her laughing still. He didnt like others worrying about him so he didnt reviel it broken.

Yuki watched him for a moment and then sat down, her head bowed slightly as she continued staring at his paw. "Well maybe you should get it looked at anyway? Or put some ice on it?" she added, smiling faintly as a small bit appeared on the ground between them and sat there, not moving. She blinked at the last comment he made, about breaking his nose, and wrinkled hers. "Don't say that," she barked simply. She didn't even want to think about stuff like that, and it was in her nature to worry about others. She just couldn't help it.

Esmene entered the courtyard quietly, with a friendly smile that always seemed to adron her face. She took notice of the other's that where around, but didn't feel the need to intrude upon them. Gently brushing her hair back from her face, she looked around for somewhere to sit. Her deep blue eyes scanned the area, wondering what would be best. She had wondered out here to see if she could run into any new friends, but also to get started in the little blue book she held loosely at her side. Seeing no one around that she had met before, at least not right away, she took a seat under a near-by tree.

Lee scooped the ice onto his paw as he set it down, a small whimper escaped his mouth. He wasnt trying to whimper it just fell out of there. Lee looked back up to her, "thank you, it feels better," he was looking at his paw again and watched as the ice soothed it. He had never broken anything besides a rib or two and his jaw once in a fight that was rather stupid. Lee looked up to Yuki's paw and then to her smiling, "dont worry, Ill be fine, Ive felt worse than this," he barked trying to assure her he was fine.
