Gidget only nodded when Annie asked about her well being. She then asked Shane, "What happens now?"
Shane could barely look her in the eye. He always hated making her cry, and this was going to be a big one. "Now I give myself to the minds of all I've consumed to give them form again. It's the only way to make things right...too many have died because of my obsession."

"What to make up for the wrong you have done?" Annie snapped, clenching her fists. "Then, I guess that means my selfishness deserves to be punished, too, right, Shane? All those people I've killed to escape and to get Christian back and to exact my revenge against Daedalus. You have no right to sentence yourself to death because of your past sins, Shane. If there is a way to stay alive than do so. I'm not saying you don't deserve some kind of punishment, but death for what you have done is wrong."
"An eye for an eye doesn't work," Annie added. "Besides, there are people who still need you. At least I still need you."

Rikki Tikki Travi The doctor shook his head. "Ms Smith, if you were infected we wouldn't be having this conversation right now. You would be in there with them. If you were able to move them without being infected, then the area is clear."Trinity nodded, it seems the symptoms are instantaneous. She had thought it would be a slower process like a disease or a virus. "Thanks Doc. That's the exact diagnoses I wanted to hear." She dropped through her shadow and landed in front of her troops. "Who's ready for the Grand Finale?! CHARGE!"The doors open and the troops shout and charged forward.

Shane couldn't help but smile. "Even when you try to be sweet you sound so angry. This is the only solution. I cannot restore myself without starting the cycle anew. By disseminating my knowledge, I can bring back the innocents that I have consumed. At the risk of sounding like the nerd that I am: The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few...or the one."
"The one's that were human wont be anymore. All the returned will be Meta. They have to be guided, protected, and cared for. I know I can trust you with that Gidget."
"Ako, take care of my kid sister. She can get herself into all sorts of trouble."
"Annie...don't give into vengeance. You saw what it did to Alex and Cassandra. Daedalus cannot hide from what happened today. They will be brought to justice. I don't want you to...ugh...die in anger. Please...I love you, but I know what you would do. Please don't."
Shane winced as parts of him began to slush off like wax. Around them the chamber began to fall apart. Outside the creature began to collapse and melt into the streets. The beasts fell to the pavement and also started to melt.
"It's time. I have to go." He turned his eyes upward. The biomass tunneled upward and revealed what was left of the day. "The path is open. Theonis, get them out safely."
Gidget huffed and tried to reach out to her brother. The armor wouldn't respond. Using what little excess electricity she had left from Ako, she commanded the suit to open. Bit by bit, pieces of the Valkyrie armor fell to and through Theonis' bubble into the oozing mass below them.
She stood up, the wound in her right arm revealing the cybernetic parts with a surprising lack of blood. The tears flowed freely down her dirty face as she sniffled, "Thanks...thank you for waking me up."
Shane chuckled, "I wouldn't have had to if you hadn't gone and died, pest."
Gidget fell to her knees again as she rubbed her eyes. She felt exhausted, and it was thanks to him. "Punk...I love you."
Shane would've cried as well if his body allowed him to produce tears. As it was he was fighting to keep from drooping in front of them. He had to do it now. "Go now, before you're caught in the mass."

Annie raised a brow surprised that Shane could do what he claimed and tears welled up in her eyes, genuine tears, not the fake tears from acting or that she could produce so easily with her power. "Right, sacrifice yourself for the greater good," she laughed, slipping down to her knees.
She glanced up and smiled somewhat bitterly, "I guess that is why I loved you, right, Shane? Because you were a better person than I was. I crave to be around good people- I'm addicted to them. I suppose I should be the good person you were or something then, right?" She buried her face in her hands briefly and took a deep breath before calming her nerves. He was right, they would have to get out of there soon.

Both of their bodies sank back into the melting mass. It didn't take long for them to meet somewhere in the mass. Alexavier embraced Cassandra. Cassandra embraced Alexavier. It felt like an eternity to them. They were apart for so long. But no longer. They would soon become one once more. No longer apart together...or together apart....only together. One. With the help of the mass they began to merge. Fusing into each other while being blissfully aware of it. The mass swallowed them, encasing them like an egg before it fell out of the stomach of the creature. Miraculously it stood straight. A heart beat could be heard from inside of the flesh-like egg.
To Theonis, what would be a touching goodbye was nothing but a hazy blur. He barely heard a thing Shane said. All he could do is stay conscious while still using his power. The opening was visible to him thanks to the light but it was all he saw. His vision was not only a blur but also red. The blood gave from his eyes as well now. He left when he could. The sphere was barely intact and severely weakened otherwise Gidget's armor would have stayed inside of it.
Don't fail me now.....
It went as fast as he could. It felt as if the walls were closing on him and he bounced off the walls a couple of times because he could barely see. When they reached the exit and entered the sky, the sphere vanished.
Not....yet
His conscious slipping. They fell. A couple of meters above the ground Theonis gave his last push of power, slowing them down completely before even that faded. The impact would hurt from that height but he didn't feel it as they hit the ground. Theonis saw the others fall down near him. Managing a faint smile, he exhaled.
I'm sorry..... Trin...
Violently his body started convulsing for a short while before everything stopped. His heart had stopped.

The attack from the troops continued despite the fear manefestations. The metas that could fly focused on the upper portion of the creature. The other metas were focusing at their points. She had doubled the forces using spears. Then it happened the thing started melting They did it!. "Keep it up!"
Everything was going to plan. She saw the others get out of the thing, then fall. Something is wrong. she head toward them letting go of her shadow soldiers causing them to disperse. She tried to reassure herself that maybe he just wore himself out... How long were they in there for? She felt a little relieved when their fall was softened. Still the feeling was still sinking.
She dropped through her shadow and emerged behind Gidget. Her eyes looked frantically for him until she saw his body on the floor. With blood still dripping out of his ears and eyes. "THEONIS! No!" she rushed to his side, her eyes welled up and started to stream out, "no... You b*****d you promised me." she listened to his chest. "You promised..." she started doing CPR.

Instinctively, Annie turned into liquid to soften her fall that Theonis had already softened. She reapeared in her clothing and arms crossed feeling numb at her own loss, when she heard Trinity's scream she was snapped back into the present. Annie frowned and watched the scene, she hoped for Trinity's sake that she could bring Theonis's back but she had little hope for the situation.
Quietly, Annie approached and squatted down across from Trinity: she realized she had an idea. It probably wouldn't work, but she could get the blood to start moving in his body using her power, at least in theory. Blood was mostly liquid, right? Annie closed her eyes as she focused on starting to pump his blood using just her power, "Trinity," Annie explained, "I'm going to start pumping his blood using my power. I won't be able to keep it up long but maybe if his heart starts during that time..."
She glanced up and began her work. She doubted it would work, but at least she could say she tried, right? It was something good people do, right? And helping others is what Shane wanted for her instead of revenge...

She took one hand and rubbed her eyes and sniffed. Her other hand was still on his chest. Trinity nodded at Annie's suggestiion allowing her to do it. "Should I still do the CPR or do you think moving his blood would be enough?".
Hope was begining to fade. Who knows exactly how long it's been since his heart stopped. Still she needed to know that she did everything that she could she didn't want to lose another one she cared about so much.

"I- I don't know," she said, sweat beading on her forehead as she concentrated. "I took physics when I was in college... I avoided biology... and anatomy. Might have helped in a situation like that." Annie closed her eyes and continued to work, "We have about ten more seconds of me doing this and I- I will have to stop." She coughed briefly and closed her eyes as she counted down, her pessimistic and what she considered her practical side telling her she was working over a corpse.

Ako had nothing to say during Shane's final exchange, other than a nod when he asked him to take care of Gidget. He stood quietly, only slipping an arm around GIdget's waist when the bubble started to rise. It was both to comfort her, and to reassure himself that she was there next to him, alive, and he would do his best to keep her that way. He knew his fear of her dieing should be over now, but Theonis's pressure bubble felt weak, spongy. He knew it wasn't going to last much longer.
When they fell, he pulled Gidget close. There wasn't much he could do against gravity, and as far as he knew, she was still mostly human without her suit, but at least he could cushion her fall. He held her tighter as they got close to the ground, but was surprised and relieved to feel Theonis save them just in time. He still uttered a grunt as they hit the ground, but at least it wasn't as bad as it could have been. Once he was sure they weren't dead, he stood and helped Gidget up. His tight embrace from before was exchanged for a tender one as he hugged her, thankful that they'd made it out alive.
The happy moment was gone, however, when Theonis didn't get up. In the moment it took him to realize what this meant, Trinity appeared out of the shadows, and Annie was kneeling over him. He'd never really hated the kid, just had a great dislike of him. When he'd sen him kissing Tansy, he'd wanted to kill him right then and there, and he'd hated him even more when he turned right around and went after Trinity, as though Tansy didn't mean much to him. Ako hated the way the guy seemed to just jump from girl-to-girl, but he realized he'd done the same thing, going for Gidget.
As Annie stated her plan, hoping the Theonis's heart would start again, Ako realized that now matter how he felt towards the guy, he had just kept them all alive. He didn't deserve to die yet.
Ako knelt next to him, across from Annie, next to Trinity. "Keep it up, I'm going to try something." He said to Annie.
He'd started many vehicles with his power, but for some reason it had never occurred to him that he could use it to restart a person, but it made sense. After all what did defibrillators work?
He ripped open Theonis's shirt, and placed his palms on either side of his heart. He couldn't feel the normal bit of electricity that pulsed there, which was bad, but it didn't tell him anything he didn't already know. He carefully judged just how much power this would need, an in his weakened state, hoped he would be able to control it enough. "Stand back," He said, making sure now one was touching Theonis but him as he took a deep breath and sent the charge. He felt the heart pump under his hands, once, twice, then nothing. He tried again. The boy's muscles contracted from the charge, but still the heart didn't catch. "Come on..." He muttered, sending another jolt. Again, the heart beat only twice before stopping. Ako was about to lose hope, but he felt something. The weakest of pulses, but it was there. Softly, faintly, Theonis's heart was beating again, under it's own power. He stayed were he was not moving. Would it hold? Would it keep beating?

Brief moments in pitch blackness he heard voices. Partially. Someone's voice sounded like Trinity. She sounded...desperate. Why? Then he heard Annie. So too sounded off. Not like the usual way she spoke. Why was that? Another voice...Ako? A surge of electricity went through him. That hurt! Why would he do that?! Another bolt! What's gotten into that guy zapping him like that?
Theonis's eyes burst open and he inhaled as deeply as he could. The light almost blinded him. Figures loomed over him but he couldn't make out who they were. He still convulsed slightly but that was most likely do to the shock of coming back from the dead. The sclera of his eyes were pitchblack. His pupils still as brightly gold as they were ever. If brighter.
"Ow....." He managed to mutter out softly.

Annie nodded at Ako's request, not having enough energy to stay anything. Once Ako jump started Theonis's heart Annie stopped pumping his blood as she felt his heart begin, at least for the moment. It didn't matter, she couldn't keep going regardless, it was up to Theonis for now. She covered her mouth and doubled over coughing. Black blood splattering on her hand and her vision blurred briefly before returning back to normal. She wasn't going to be able to use her power for a while.
Hearing Theonis's soft 'ow' Annie smiled and said sarcastically as her cough subsided, "Guess we have one more happy ending, great." She glanced over at Theonis and added, "You gave a bit of a scare. Power exhaustion, so thanks for the help earlier in keeping us alive, I suppose. Welcome back to the world of the living."

Trinity nodded at Ako's request and she held her arms tightly. She hated being helpless and not being able to do anything about the situation. A soft breeze blew by as she watched Theonis' body convulse over and over from Ako's shocks. She was going to ask him to stop, that it was enough we tried all we could but she heard him 'ow'. She couldn't believe her pointy ears. Was it safe to believe it?
Then after Annie's sarcasm, "Thank you Annie. Thank you Ako." she said it like she really meant it. If it weren't for them Theonis wouldn't be back, he'd die. She goes to his side she smiled at him and noticed his eyes. They were opened but they were black which made his amber eyes stand out more. Regardless she didn't care how they look she was just glad they are opened and gazed back into them. "We did it." she said softly and smiled. She fought the urge to just hold him tight, the man needs space to breath after being dead for so long. "I can take everyone to the med bay. " she stood up and saw Gidget's arm. "You okay Gidget?... Your arm?"
