Courtyard (North)

"Same here, your the first person I've actually talked to beside myself"

Smooth Winter, real smooth. Let your first friend here know you talk to yourself all the time, no problems, right?

He stared at him and sat a couple of yards infront of max. He watched him moved the water down to infront of him. He sighed as he looked at the drop. He closed his eyes as he watched his power. A root of energy slowly moved over to it. When he felt the connection he opened his eyes and starred at the drop.

He felt it. Heat slowly encircled the drop of dew. He focused it, pulling it into the shape of the ball. Finally he felt a rush as he lite the ball of heat. a ball of flame engulfed the small drop, as it evaporated and steam rolled out of the ball. He smiled as he held out his hand. The ball slowly move dover till it floated over the palm of his hand. Finally he broke away the connection as the ball popped into smoke.

"Definitly need the practice, both of us"

Max laughed. "Darn it, why'd you have to do that!" He laughed again. He pulled a larger drop off of another leaf and made it do figure eights. He looked at it and lost concentration.

"Oh no..." The drop flew in Winter's direction.  

[P.S Whatever.]

Winter didn't have enough time to react the drop. He glared at it as it flew at him. It. hit his face as a normal speed as it splashed his face. Winter sighed as he reopened his now closed eyes and looked at Max. He closed his eyes and focused.

"You know you're going to have to pay for that"

Winter opened his eyes suddenly as the water emoved itself from his face and floated infront of himself. Slowly from the grass and dirp little drips of water formed. Finally they all floated upward and formed with the other water. It formed a decent sized ball of water.

The ball suddenly popped into three seperate smaller balls, going after Max from three different directions.

Max stopped two of the drops in midair. He closed his eyes as the third drop hit him on the forehead. He took the other two balls and threw them at Winter again.

"Best practice I've gotten all the time I've been here!" He pulled the water on his face back and added it to make the original three balls. He combined them and got a little more water from a fountain nearby. He threw it at Winter. 'I guess this one's hit or miss'  

[P.S Whatever.]

Winter looked at the new incoming ball of water. It was much large then any off the others. He quickly closed his eyes and threw out his right hand forward. His eyes squinted as he tried focusing. The ball flew towards him when suddenly -

((dramatic pause))

It stopped. Half a centimeter from Winter's hand it stopped in mid air. The water still moved as it floated their. Winter opened hsi eyes and with a suprising smile starred at the ball of water. With a smirk he forced the ball forward towards Max. It flew at him with intense speed until finally.

Pop

The ball of water exploded right inbetween them both. Releasing splashes of water onto both of them. With his now soaked head WInter blink for a few moments in silence. Fianlly he fell over onto his side and started chuckling.

Max laughed too. It was the most fun he'd had his entire time at Ria. He pulled the water off of himself and Winter and spread it out a little bit.

"Do you know any French?" Max's eyes lit up. He'd spoken French earlier, but by accident. He wanted someone he could have a civil conversation with. It didn't hurt to ask. Max lay down on the ground to get some rest. "Je suis fatigue...*"

*I'm tired, for those of you who don't know French.  

[P.S Whatever.]

Winter sat back up. He crossed his legs as he watched Max. He listened to his question about french and thought back. The language of french was soemthing he had never picked up on. The seer used to mumble a few things in french but he had no clue of what they meant.

"Nope, sorry"

Winter thought back to the water. Max was actually very impressive with it. He thought of if he could learn to manipulate air. If Max learned how to manipulate the air then he could release ice attacks along with water and air strikes. He looke dover at him.

"Have you ever thought of learning how to manipulate wind?"

"Not really..." He wondered why Winter had asked that question. It was kind of random. He was also slightly disappointed by his statement about French. Oh, well... maybe someone else. He thought about the statement about air manipulation. Would there be some point to having it? Max got up and leaned against the tree.

"I don't think that I would be able to handle two elements at the rate I'm at right now..." Max laughed quietly. Maybe it was a good idea... but not right now. "So anyway, what are you here for? I'm here for water manipulation and swordsmanship."  

[P.S Whatever.]

"The thing about the wind manipulation is if you put your water together with the wind you could probably figure out how to use ice attacks, plus another element would never hurt you know"

Winter stood up as well. He looked up at a branch and kicked up. He went up intot he air higher and quicker than usual. He grabbed the branch and sat down on it. He scooted down closer to the tree trunk. he laned againist it, getting comfy before he turned to answer Max's question.

"I came here to learn how to control my 'Radiance' power. The thing that tapped into you earlier. But other than that, I wanna try to learn other skills here. I debated maybe learning some alchemy or some sort of confining/summoning power. Time powers have always intrested me too."

With his power he could pick up of so many different power that after using it enough he could basicly use it without tapping into things. Sure, it took a long to to even minorly master a tapped-skill but it wa sworth it.

Mia smiled, she already liked Ria High, she held her books tight to her chest and walked around the courtyard, a wonderful smile on her face as her hair swayed about on her back. She smooth out her skirt as she sat down to rest for a second, pulling her backpack around to her front for the sandwhich in it.

She scrabbled around inside her backpack looking for her food, "I surely need to get organized, this is a fresh start.."She said quietly, finally picking up her sandwhich.

Mia smiled, she already liked Ria High, she held her books tight to her chest and walked around the courtyard, a wonderful smile on her face as her hair swayed about on her back. She smooth out her skirt as she sat down to rest for a second, pulling her backpack around to her front for the sandwhich in it.

She scrabbled around inside her backpack looking for her food, "I surely need to get organized, this is a fresh start.."She said quietly, finally picking up her sandwhich.

A tear rolled down her cheek as she thought of her twin sister, Miyu. She could control water, and her skinny little friend Hilary could control the Wind and Air. Mia dropped the sandwhich back in her bag. "I'm no longer hungry.."She said and tried to smile.

She stood up slowly. "You know I'd walked a thousand miles if I could just see you..."That was Miyu's favorite song, Mia began to sing the only part she knew, over and over..

[yeah... Steph and I left because you can pretty much glean from what we wrote that we are heading elsewheres. We will make another thread at the dorms or something this weekend and thus continue rping there. Or something like that.]

Max thought about Winter's idea. 'I guess it is a good idea... but couldn't I just control the water in the ice? 'Cause ice is just the same thing as water' Max took most of the water off of himself and spread it out over the grass. He laid down and looked up at the tree. A drop of dew was about to fall onto him. As it fell, he slowed it down to a stop and placed it on a stronger leaf.

"Winter..." He tilted his head up to make eye contact. "Do you think I could just control ice anyway? I mean, ice is just water in solid form, so wouldn't it be the same thing?"

((sorry I'm so late... I haven't really played attetion to this...))

"I guess you could, if the weather were cold enough and ice was already there or the water and natural wind could be combined, sure. But what if those terms aren't there. Water can't just suddenly shift from it's basic liquid form to a solid form like ice, you'd need something to help the reaction of the change wether it be learning how to use wind or a simple item to help with the shifting of water's form."

Winter said. He held his hand outward from his chest. He opened his palm to face the sky. Drops of dew slowly formed a ball of water. After a few moments air began to shift around it, spining aound it. The water slowly began to stop moving as it froze over, forming a ice ball.

As Seth made his first step onto the old courtyards, a slight grin came over his lips. The wind was blowing strong against his hair, and the sun shone lightly above him. After what appeared to be decades away, he was finaly at home..

He walked around through the courtyard, letting the tip of his finger wander through the outlines of the statue in the center of the courtyard as past memories began to come back to him. He didn't realize he would've missed this place so much..

His eyes searched the courtyard for any familiar faces, a sense of disappointment coming upon him as he didn't notice anyone he knew from before.. still, he looked up towards the blue sky above him, and his heart was filled with joy once again, this joy resembling itself through nothing more than a small grin across his lips.. there was truly no place like home.
