More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Gidget giggled painfully, "I'm not gonna lie, this sucks. I forgot how much pain...well, hurts." No sooner did she say that when a healer came to her and started to mend her wound. It was going to be a long process for her.

Gidget winced and asked Ako, "You're staying right?"

"Just wait till Christian's on a roll trying to outsmart everyone and convince them that he should be treated like an adult because he is intellectually smarter than the person dealing with him," muttered Annie, pinching the bridge of her nose.

Annie glanced over at Trinity and said, "My offer still stands so if you need help with these new metas or keeping Daedalus at bay, I'll help where I can. Unfortunately, it will take a few hours of down time or a full healing before I am ready to use my power, but when the time comes, I can help."

She closed her eyes and sat down on her bed, "And if there is anyone who needs help mastering liquid controlling powers I may be able to help them adjust, if it is necessary. I'd rather not do that, however. The last thing I need is someone looking up to me."

Nova Blancke

Theonis yawned more audible this time. He had managed to put it off of him before but the exhaustion was really catching up to him.

" I think....I'm just...going to..." He never finished the sentence as he fell asleep.

Trinity watched Theonis surrender to his exhaustion. A smile crept on her face watching him sleep she brushed his hair aside and kissed his forehead. Her ears picked up his father's voice she listened. We may need to reassess the security on our systems. We can't have just anyone hack our systems even though they mean well... Regardless she planned to bring this up to Gidget later when she recovered.

She nodded at Annie, "Understood. You know there may be some one I have in mind that you may be able to help. From what I can tell she can move water and is only beginning to see what she's capable of. I'll introduce you to her when you are feeling well and have things settled, and let you guys decide where things will go from there."

She knew what had to be done next. Those metas need to be brought in and the Research and Development department need to be notified. Hopefully they will be able to whip up something shortly, who knows how long the metas out there are going to last in their current state.

"Gidget I'm heading to R&D, I'll catch you later." she exited the room. Wearing her black heavy armor she walked behind a pillar and switched to something more comfortable, her usual green trench cloak purple midriff, bullet proof pants and boots.

Ako was a bit surprised Gidget had to ask. "Of course." He answered. "I'm not going to leave you again."

He did his best not to grimace as he saw the full extent of the damage to her arm. He was surprised he hadn't noticed the cybernetics within before now. Whoever made them must be very good at what they do. "You get used to pain," He said, "Eventually. Just don't get too used to it like I did."

Annie sighed watching Trinity leave and said, "Great, I guess she missed the whole 'I'd rather not do that' memo. I suppose I've got to earn my keep someway, right, Gidget?" She asked glancing over at Gidget and Ako.

"You know if you two want me to leave for some privacy I can give it to you," Annie said. "I don't want to intrude."

After dealing with the creep, Deora's attention turned to the missing Kerana, which lead her to the scene unfolding on TV. She looked on in fascination, not sure whether she wanted to be out there helping, or safe in Valhalla, far away from that thing.

When Kerana and Heather returned, Deora almost tackled the fox girl, but settled for a strong hug. She caught herself after a second, stepping back to her normal reserved self. She brushed a stray strand of hair back behind her ear. "Don't leave me like that again, Kerana! I was stuck here dealing with a pervert while you run off to try and... What were you doing, exactly?"

"Well, if you're going to run off and be a hero without a plan again, invite me. I could always use a good fight now and then." Deora said. "But maybe that's enough excitement for one day. We should get everyone settled in."

Annie sighed watching Trinity leave and said, "Great, I guess she missed the whole 'I'd rather not do that' memo. I suppose I've got to earn my keep someway, right, Gidget?" She asked glancing over at Gidget and Ako.

"You know if you two want me to leave for some privacy I can give it to you," Annie said. "I don't want to intrude."

She smiled sweetly at Ako. She was very much pleased that he wasn't going to do his mysterious disappearance routine. She didn't know if she could handle it so soon after losing Shane.

Gidget looked over at Annie and shook her head. "It's okay. You want me to have Christian brought up here?"

Heather squeezed out of Larry's grip and dusted herself off. She looked over at Liv and "blushed." Remembering that she was among others she quickly collected herself and responded to Kerana's proposal. "That sounds great. I could use some heat exposure after swimming."

Trinity arrived at the Research and Development department. Looking around it seemed empty but she could hear people fixing something and using computers. "We've got a bit of a situation. Anyone up to the task?" her voice carried well. Hopefully someone would have a moment to spare.

" Heat exposure?" Liv wondered then remembered." Right...cold blooded. Forgot sorry." Liv then had a idea. She could either help out the soldiers carry back their people. Preferably those that are out cold so she could drain then or try and find Amanda. Soldiers would be a better idea. After all Amanda got a bit mad at her before. So she might need to cool down a bit.

"Well have fun you. I think I'm going to see if the soldiers need help carrying back their people. So good luck with that." Liv smiled and waved at them then went on her way.

Daisy Sun had found her camera crew and had been directed to a room to begin her interviewing. She had finished interviewing Christian about an hour earlier and was now working on putting her media assault together as Christian sat in a chair beside her watching and making an occasional snide comment. He wasn't the most likeable of children, but she managed to get his frankness about the experimenting on his mother and Daedalus pushing him to use his power to sound horrific enough to catch audiences and his love for his mother (who Daisy was yet to be enamored with) was cute in its own sort of way.

"You're pretty smart when it comes to spinning a favorable story," Christian said.

Daisy glanced at him and smiled, "Yeah, well you don't work in the media for as long as I do without picking up a few tricks." She pointed to a screen that was villainizing Annie and Shane still on the news, "Block that as much as possible. We'll explain the case soon that the two of them did that to Daedalus HQ to rescue her child... Right now I want to finish cutting the interview with Christian," she told the team that included her cameramen and some of the tech guys she roped in from Valhalla.

She glanced over at one of her cameramen who were finishing editing the interview. "Do you have it yet? I want that on air within the next hour. Preferably before Daedalus deals with this 'Legion' situation and cleans up in their own way."

He nodded and said, "I have it, done."

"Good, now, we'll wait for Gidget's call," Daisy said. "She should call soon." Some of those present raised a brow at her confidence, but her cameramen shrugged, she did have a good sense about things sometimes. Sighing she sat down at the chair next to Christian and raised a blonde brow at him, "In the meantime, what am I supposed to do with you? This media stuff is probably pretty boring for a genius like you..."

Christian shrugged, "It's something new and unlike most children I'm not so stupid I can't think of things to keep my mind busy."

"Right," sighed Daisy, shaking her head.

She smiled sweetly at Ako. She was very much pleased that he wasn't going to do his mysterious disappearance routine. She didn't know if she could handle it so soon after losing Shane.

Gidget looked over at Annie and shook her head. "It's okay. You want me to have Christian brought up here?"

"Yeah, I guess. He's probably driving that reporter up the wall, by now. Besides it probably is good to see if I am making the right decision in staying," Annie said with a smile. "Unfortunately, I don't think Christian will be very understanding about Shane, so, I'm sorry if he says anything rude. You would think with how smart he is that he would have more of a filter for his words. Of course, maybe he just doesn't care what other people think because he thinks he is better than everyone else. Needless to say, I'm going to have a headache trying to reteach ethics to that kid. He only got worse in the month or two I was away from Daedalus and on the run..."

Gidget chuckled, "Don't worry too much about it. As long as he's here, he's family. I've always wanted a nephew to something to dote on."

She reached over to the nearest attendant and asked him to retrieve Daisy Sun and Christian Berchant from where they had secluded themselves with the camera crew that was brought in. She then looked down at her arm and watched as the muscles were beginning to grow back. She nearly threw up, but only managed a dry heave.

"Ugh...oh man. I just realized I'm starving."
