"I don't really care about your dad or old veteran parties... I've never even seen you before..." Kira muttered annoyedly. "I just wanted to know who you are because I'm not sure if I should trust you..." He said quietly. He walked over to a bench and sat down quietly, pushing a hand through his onyx hair. "Listen Sara... I prefer to know all I need to know about an area and a person, so think nothing of why I asked your name..." He muttered and rested one hand behind his back, holding onto Diabolo firmly.

"Eh? But I don't even know you! Of course you're not supposed to trust strangers!" Saraneth didn't understand a word he said... or seemingly, she didn't. Her eyes were complete and total innocence. "I'm sorry if I offended you somehow... somehow being the key word here... I don't get it!" She grinned sheepishly. "Well... um... after that comment there. Do you mind if I know your name?" That was the key of her spell. The name is always the key to a person's future. Whether or not the name is true or not, it will become the key to her spell.

Shinn stopped playing for a moment, as he heard rustling. He smiled to himself and continued playing his soft melody of torture. Once the girl was at a far more distanced location, Shinn made a quick glance to check her location. Once again Shinn tuned the guitar and once again his fingers went to work. This time it was different though, it was soft, sweet, and best of all in perfect tune. The sound only lasted a second, it was only meant to be an apology to his guitar.

Shinn got up and place his guitar on his back. He stared at his target through his dark glasses and flashed a smile. He took careful, long steps towards the girl. He kept his face solemn, it was slightly easier behind his sun glasses. He waited until there would be no way she could not hear him.

"Excuse me ma'am..." A grin was ready to burst from his face btu he held it in. "Were you in some way offended by my music?" A test of sorts; was she a liar? Was she a good liar? Was she social? Shinn could deal with any of them but he did like to know what he was dealign with.

I'm Kira..." He paused unsure if he should tell the truth. "Kira Tenshi...." He finished, quietly. He looked at her quietly with a cautious yet sharp look in his eyes that said that if she tried anything strange, depending on the nature, he would either walk away and head back for Rivera's dorme, or attack if it was something more malicious in intent. He still had his hand behind his back, holding onto Diabolo, which was holstered and ready to go. I don't like this girl... He thought carefully as he looked her over. I get the feeling she is an assassin after Rivera... Well only one way to find out... Kira looked at her and asked at long last. "Not to sound rude but are you an assassin after Rivera?" He asked quietly. His arm was now tense and ready to fully unholster Diabolo and fire if he was answered yes or attacked.

Shadow_Phoenix_Blade

As Lena entered the courtyard, she instantly looked around. Since the war, she had been more on edge. She had been certain he had followed her but she had yet to see any sign of him. Shivering slightly at the thought of him, she refused the memories and buried them deep. She moved into the courtyard, unable to help her hand coming to rest on her sword's hilts.

"Nice to meet you! Uh... wait..." Her eyes became completely confused, even more so than before. "Who the hell are you talking about? I just got here like... three days ago!" She blinked, then reached forward to touch his forehead, "Are you okay? You're a little warm..." Kira probably was warm. With all that tension around him, he probably was...

Saraneth breathed in sharply. Something had just scratched across her hand... Lifting her left arm, she saw a long gash run from her forearm to the back of her hand. Her eyes widened in a mixture of surprise and horror. Before she could inquire anything, she another gash ran across her right cheek, right below her eye. And another, appearing in her side as if some invisible knife was slashing at her. "Wait a sec what the hell is this?!" She backed away into a tree, trying to sense the presence of whatever was hitting her. It had absolutely no presence. Saraneth couldn't put up barriers. She hadn't learned how to form a forcefield shield yet. She didn't have anything to shield herself with at the moment. The next cut appeared in a circular formation, slicing in a whirl around her shoulders. Blood splattered onto the ground. Saraneth didn't cry out, she was too shocked to say anything. Her throat was constricted and she wasn't quite sure what was going on. Was this supposed to happen? It was several moments before she came to her senses. If these invisible knife things are going to follow her around, she might as well get back to the bell tower. She had bought a shield generator, but she left it there that morning when some dark thing in there scared her witless and running back for campus. Even that thing was probably better than being attacked. Right now, she really needed a shield and her backpack. There was a special ointment there that her pagan aunt said worked wonders on wounds.

"I'll see you in a bit! I have to--" It seemed like something stabbed her in the back. Saraneth doubled up, coughing blood into her hand. "Oh crud... I hate the taste of blood..." She muttered and straightened up painfully, "I have to get to the belltower... I'll see you in... a few..." Another across her neck, narrowly missing the jugular vein. "s**t!" Saraneth put a hand to her wound while she drew out a handkerchief from her pocket with her other hand to wipe the blood off her mouth. Her eyes burned with anger and pain. She hated it when things attacked her and she had no idea where they were coming from.

Maybe she's not an assassin... Maybe, if I'm lucky I can trust her... Kira thought hoping he could let his now always alert mind rest. "No I'm alright... It's just that I've been dealing with alot recently..." He said quietly. He put a hand atop his head scratching, slightly tousling his dark hair. He looked down at his outfit, only the white shirt and grey slacks of his normal grey tuxedo, and then his feet, which were covered by black shoes. He then looked back up when he smelled blood and heard Sara's voice. "I have to get to the belltower... I'll see you in... A few..." Was all he heard then she was gone. Okay... Why does she need to go to the belltower? He thought curiously, folding his wings around himself neatly.  

[.Conviction.]

Susie's footsteps could be heard on the cement of a pathway that lead to the North Courtyard for she wore her famous knee high black boots. It had been a long time since those boots met the ground of Ria. By now she was technically a senior at the school. She had been gone for her whole junior year.

Today her attire consisted of a black wife-beater with a black tie sitting above it. She wore a short black and red plaid skirt, too. Her long amethyst hair layed straight behind her and infront of her shoulders. Her ocean blue eyes glanced around the courtyard and a smile rose on her full lips.

"Hm...So strange..."

She still felt a little awkward being here. Her black fox ears twitched a little at the feeling of a soft morning breeze blowing through and her three black fox tails waved along with it behind her. But, she suddenly stopped in her tracks as she saw a familiar land mark that seemed to always be hers. It was a tree in the middle of the grass. It had grown slightly taller since she's last seen it. Susie went over to it and touched the bark of the tree as if it wasn't there infront of her.

Kaji walked into the courtyard boredly looking around at the current emptiness. He simply shrugged and tapped the toe of one of his black boots to the ground and looked himself over boredly. It wasn't too bad today so he dressed lightly in clothing meant more for looks, such as a red shirt, with a light white jacket over it, and a simple pair of blue jeans. He let his brown eyes scan the courtyard and found one person. He ran his hand through his brown hair and walked over quietly.

His feet glided silently over the ground, while his hand was swiftly weaving a lighter through his fingers. It was a usual habit. The only reason he had the lighter though, was that he could control fir but not make it appear out of nowhere. He arrived near the girl and looked at the tree she was touching. "Is this tree important to you?" He asked curiously. He inderstood things like little landmarks where people hung out and special places where certain memories were had. He, being a freshman though, had yet to make those memories. He awaited her answer patiently, as the lighter continued weaving its path from thumb and forefinger, to pinky and ring gracefully then started over again.
