More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Daisy nodded, pulling out her cellphone she typed a few words and numbers and sent a text, "Done. It'll be taken care of. Within five minutes tops we should have the first of the reports out against Daedalus. If there is anything else you want me to report on I'm willing to go. I actually prefer to be on the scene of action."

She shrugged and smiled at Annie, "Thank-you for letting your son do the interview. It was a great help."

Annie shrugged, "He wanted to do it: I'm not the type to forbid him from doing something like that." She turned her attention to Gidget, "Some people might not still believe the truth no matter how much you force feed it to them. People tend to have faith in our government. And, of course, there is the fact that some metas do have dangerous powers and aren't exactly peace loving. The public will want someone to deal with them, and Daedalus does do that, even if they are evil."

Gidget nodded in appreciation to Daisy. "Thanks again. Leonard Acula left some classified information for me to look through. No doubt it has something we could use. I'll let you know what I find."

She turned her attention over to Annie as she spoke. Gidget gently bit the inside of her cheek. As much as she hated to admit it Annie had a point. "I wouldn't say I'm force feeding them, but you're right. Daedalus was appointed because of events like this. To the public eye they are metahuman police. But something has been bothering me. The things Shane shared with me before the attack lead me to believe that they are doing more holding than enforcing. How many of the metahumans incarcerated with you could be considered dangerous. And I don't mean in just the powers they have."

" Will do. " David replied. Soon he was done with gathering his tools and headed out. Greeting several people on his way out he felt a bit troubled. He never liked abnormalities like this. In his research he did but not like this. Too real, he preferred his numbers and theories

"Biggest first huh? Now let's hope it doesn't decide to hatch huh? I certainly don't want whatever coming out thinking I'm it's mother" It was hard to tell if she was joking or not.

David noticed they were about to move the egg. He picked up his pace. " Wowowowow hold on, hold on! Need to make sure if it's safe to move that thing ya know? I take it you don't want to set it off somehow." David walked straight past the soldiers who were attempted to move it.

" Hush hush, go work on something else." David said already focused on his scans. The heartbeat seemed to get faster. Something that did not go unnoticed by him." Not here to hurt ya buddy." He softly said. Despite his attempt to calm down whatever was inside it began to wobble gently and send out a psychic wave. It washed over the people nearby. No matter what they would do...they would be unable move it. They couldn't force themselves to do so. David backed off quickly.

Liv not having the full intent of wanting to move that thing still felt the effect of it. "So there IS a meta in there....." She was just as alarmed as the rest.

Daisy nodded politely at Gidget's information. Meanwhile Annie said, "Of course they are doing more than merely holding metahumans." She covered her son's ears and continued despite his glares, "Christian is a result of that. But, you are asking me to classify who I consider dangerous or not..." She laughed slightly. "Honestly I would classify myself as dangerous, not just because of my powers but because of my disposition. I have killed over thirty people by this point and it really doesn't bother me that much. I would classify that as dangerous. Of course, you would argue I was made that way because of the situation I was placed in, right Gidget? I think there were about twenty to fifty metahumans at HQ with powers that could be classified dangerous, and probably a fair handful or two that have the disposition to be dangerous like I am, but honestly from what I heard and saw I can say the only metahumans that really concerned me were Alexavier and his sister- the chimera- and they were created by Daedalus."

She let go of Christian's ears finally and continued, "Statistically the odds of a true psychopath acquiring a power like mine is unlikely, and I don't think Daedalus would know what to do with someone like that if they encountered that problem. Hell, they couldn't keep me imprisoned when I finally snapped."

"They probably assumed you would come back eventually, though," Christian pointed out. "At least Dad did since I was still there."

"Yeah," agreed Annie, "Well, he was right, but they miscalculated my return, but that isn't the point. Why are you concerned about who Daedalus kept at HQ? Most of us are dangerous by the public's standard's. And, some of us, in the right situation, including me, are dangerous."

Christian rolled his eyes as his mother talked and hopped off Annie's lap and walked over to Trinity and said quietly only to Trinity, "You were saying something about food? That sounds good. Mom should eat too because she probably used a lot of her power, but she won't eat because she's probably all depressed about the whole Shane situation."

Annie glanced briefly over to her son before turning her attention back to Gidget as she waited for her answer.

Gidget shook her head. "That's not quite what I meant. When they were in charge of Valhalla their primary goal was to use metahuman abilities as a weapon. I doubt their intentions changed with their name. From what I've seen, they kill weaker metahumans and any people that could report them, like in the case of Kerana and her parents. But dangerous metahumans are captured. And then Freya pops up under their control for the purpose of impeding Trinity. What I meant to ask was if you think they're building an army?"

Annie raised a brow, "That? Probably they were. I didn't give it a lot of thought. I mean, it would explain the types of metahumans that they had at HQ and how excited they were when I came in to them, beyond excited, it was almost as if they had expected me because they already had a holding facility set up for someone with my power. I suppose, I should have tried to escape then, when they took me into custody, but I had given up at that point and Dr. Berchant was kind and generous towards me compared to the doctor who had first had my case."

She shivered slightly and frowned, "It is hard to say what they were exactly planning because they soon found out that I am a flawed weapon. My morals were easy enough to warp over time, but my body could never catch up with my power no matter how hard they pushed me. Maybe you should track down some of the other metahumans that were released from HQ, they might know. They would probably tell and trust me, since I didn't just abandon them all to Daedalus when I escaped. The problem is tracking them down, of course."

She dropped through her shadow and emerged behind the door of the room where Theonis and the others were. She noticed his hair? It was different from when she last saw him. At least he was looking healthier than earlier thanks to the healers. "Hey, I'm famished. Anyone want something to eat?"

David reached out for his cellphone and entered Trinity's number. It's one of his human gifts.Memorizing numbers after a single glance. Something that most Meta scientists are jealous of because of all that they can do...something as simple as memorizing a lot of numbers is not one of them.

" Um hey Trinity...the egg...doesn't want to be moved ya know? It just sent out a burst of some sort of psychic wave and I can't even think about wanting to moving it.."

Gidget pondered for a moment. Daedalus wouldn't need to corrupt morals if they had a method of control. Freya was proof enough of that. An unpredictable free spirit maybe, but she definitely wasn't a traitor.

Gidget could feel herself salivate at the mention of food. She looked down at her arm and saw that there was plenty left to do. "As good as food sounds it looks like I'm going to be held up for just a bit longer."

Not having anything more productive to do, Ako decided his best course of action was simply to try and rest. He laid back on the reclined hospital bed, and tried to think. If he was going to be staying here, what would he do? He'd never stayed in one place long enough to warrant a real job, so he couldn't imagine how he'd be helpful around here.

Trinity's arrival thankfully gave him an excuse to get away from awkwardly watching a conversation he wasn't a part of. "I'll go." He said, "Gidget, what do you want to eat? I'll bring our food back here."

Annie turned at the mention of food, she knew she should eat, but didn't feel like eating. Honestly, that might be part of the problem, that her body after using too much energy would start consuming itself in some way- or at least that is one theory she remembered being thrown around.

Before she could speak up Christian answered, "Food sounds good. I'll make sure the cafeteria gets a few meals sent down for you, Mommy. I can go with Miss Trinity, right?"

Daisy glanced over and said, "I'll get something to eat too. Hopefully they have something low fat in the cafeteria. I've been so focused on my work I haven't ate all that much lately." She glanced at Annie and said, "You not coming?"

She shook her head, "I don't feel like it. Honestly, I don't feel like eating but I should. Whenever I use my power I have to eat and I naturally have a big appetite." She forced a smile at Christian and told him, "Something high in protein would be nice about 4,000 to 5,000 Calories total." It still sometimes disturbed her she didn't have to talk down to a three year old, but then again, sometimes it did make her life easier. And, she was a more mild version of that herself as a child in some ways.

Christian nodded, "Okay."

Trinity nodded at Gidget then she heard what the others said, "Well if every one is bringing stuff back here I might as well bring something back for Theonis, for when he wakes up. Alright everyone going to the food court follow me." As she lead the way her smart phone buzzed, "Hello? Oh hi David, what's up?... Oh you went out there? I was going to have it delivered to you- ... What a psy-wave?! ... Ok I'll let people know not to move the egg and to listen to what you recommend. The General I have posted there will wonder how you got through... Tell him who you are and I sent you. By then my order should reached him. Let me know if there's anything else you need David. Talk to you later..." she starting texting the order.

The General went straight to David, "Who are you and what are you doing here!?"

I said not to move it at all instead of having it delivered!

David now feeling a bit threatened. It never took much for him to feel threatened. He cleared his throat.

"Em...David Trenor researcher at the R&D. Trinity sent me to ..em..do some additional tests on that egg. Well...she didn't sent me just..a bit of miss communication I think. She just said she was going to have this thing...moved to my lab ya know? I told her the opposite. Not to move it at all! And now..I don't think it's even possible to move it. " He said a bit nervously but slowly became more like himself as he progressed. "If you were hit by that wave of it then you shouldn't even be able to think of moving it. The whole...idea of moving it just slips away when I think of it."

"So this egg...em..needs to be guarded since we won't move it. The others CAN be moved for as far as I am concerned."

"Now that you mentioned it, it would explain why the soldiers stopped" he rubbed his head. He was about to argue about who is in charge here. Then he received Trinity instead confirming that they needed to listen to what the man advised. "Very well..."

The truck from the Logistics Department folded back up ready to load all the chrysalises in it.

"Sorry to be em...ya know...taking over like this but if that egg hatches inside of Valhalla and it's not friendly ....ya know where I'm going with this aren't you?" David asked.

Liv stayed out of it. David had a point however. If it did hatch and wasn't on their side...not to mention powerful it could do some serious damage in there. Liv hopped off towards the soldiers helping them load the truck. She tried to drain the chrysalis but it seemed it didn't work. Must be cause it's the outer shell. Ahh well..it was worth a shot.

David, after confirming with the General that the egg would have to be guarded all the time, went back to running some tests and scans on it. Luckily for him, he managed to get a tissue sample. The egg didn't wobble as it did before. Maybe it sensed David's motive. All he wanted was to examine it.
