More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

'Wow really? This room makes me wish I had a little-big brother. What do you think of it Larry?" The fox girl was really astonished by vastness of the room. Heck they seem to have a wall-sized flat screen TV. A huge comfy chair for Larry to sit in.

Larry lumbered over to the large chair and sank down into it. He let out a long, heavy sigh of relief and stated, "Comfy."

Heather grinned at her brother then turned to Kerana. "I can't thank you enough for all the kindness you've shown us. This is the first time in five years that we've really felt safe."

"I know that feeling." Deora muttered, still looking around at the room, amazed. It was hard for her to believe it was actually a room, and not a real jungle.

Gidget playfully stuck her tongue out at Annie. It was a face not unlike the little pink haired girl from thhirteen years ago. "I'll cross that bridge when I get there. Right now I'm starving, exhausted, and depressed. I'm going to gorge myself until I can't move."

Shortly after the others left the healer finished with her arm. Gidget flexed and rotated it a few times before laying back on the bed. Her eyes became bloodshot and started to well up with tears. She staired up at the ceiling and sighed. "Is it wrong for me to wish i was still a machine? So that i wouldn't have to feel this pain?"

The Count of Monte Carlo

With three fully loaded carry-out trays, he left the food line to rejoin the others.
"Ready to head back?"

Trinity eyed the trays that Ako was holding. Then she eyed what she got Theonis. A carry out bag packed with soup and two cookies. She sighed to herself and thought Well if he wants more I'll get him what he wants.
"Sure, do you need help with carrying all of that?" She finished her food and got up. Carrying her to-go bag with her.

Annie sighed at Gidget's teasing but when Gidget grew upset after the others left she came over and said quietly, "It might be easier to not feel the pain but you feel good things too when you let yourself feel things, Gidget. It is all about balance. Though there is pain there is good times like the time you have with Ako, right? I have to keep reminding myself of that to not let myself get consumed with hatred and that feeling things- good and bad is the best way to take things. Pain is a part of life but so is love and happiness and all the other great things about being human and letting yourself get hurt sometimes."

She forced a smile, "The others are going to be coming back soon..."

Daisy nodded, "I'm ready to go whenever Christian is..."

"I'm ready," Christian piped up eating his last bite and nodding to the food containers for Annie, "Mom will need to eat soon."

Gidget huffed as a few tears fell down her cheeks. She felt her lip quiver aand the mucus begin to build up in her nostrils. Her hand slowly reached out and took Annie's. Her grip was gentle, but desperate.

She rolled her head over and gazed up at her friend. Her words trailed as she spoke. "I miss him, Annie. I hate this. Why did this happen? Why us? The meteors, where'd they come from? Who's making them? Why do..we...have..."

Her grip slacked and then gave way completely. Her eyes struggled, then gave in as they slowly closed. Her body relaxed, and her breathing became soft and deliberate. After thirteen years, Gidget was truly asleep.

She rolled her head over and gazed up at her friend. Her words trailed as she spoke. "I miss him, Annie. I hate this. Why did this happen? Why us? The meteors, where'd they come from? Who's making them? Why do..we...have..."

Her grip slacked and then gave way completely. Her eyes struggled, then gave in as they slowly closed. Her body relaxed, and her breathing became soft and deliberate. After thirteen years, Gidget was truly asleep.

Annie reached over and embraced Gidget as she slept and whispered, "I miss him too... God I miss him. All I wanted was to be "normal" and "fit in" but the meteor showers ensured that not just would I stand out because of some stupid IQ test but because of my powers, but he accepted me..." She sighed and felt a few tears roll down her face and she whispered, "I miss him, too, Gidget." Still holding her, she took a breath and used her power to wipe away the tears on her face: she wanted to be composed when the others came back. She had to hold herself together for the sake of Christian, because if she lost his respect it would be even more of an up hill battle with him-the child she didn't want but end up with.

Larry reached over to the end table by his chair and gently picked up the tv remote. The remote appeared to be adapted for someone with giant fingers, but he had overenthuiastically crushed things much larger than the remote in his hand. He turned the tv on and flipped channels until he landed on cartoon network. A big smile spread across his face when he saw Adventure Time. He slowly raised his arms into the air and declared, "Slam-a-cow. He then put his hands in his lap and proceeded to watch the show in silence.

Heather sat on the opposite side of the couch Kerana was sitting, laid her tail over the arm, and sighed as she watched her little brother watched the show. Confident that he couldn't hear the girls over the TV, Heather mused, "It's hard to believe he's just a ten year old kid under all of that."

It seemed Ako had a good grip on the trays so Trinity didn't bug him further on the matter. She lead the way back to Gidget. Then paused, she heard Gidget crying "oh dear..." she looked to Ako. "you better go to her first." She knew Gidget would need a shoulder to cry on and despite how close they are she knew she'd would prefer her man to hold her close.

Something had caught Ako's attention when Trinity offered to help carry the food, but he had a good grip on it, anyway. By the time it made it through his thick skull had he'd just accidentally ignored her, it was too late to say anything without making the situation more awkward.

Despite his grip, he nearly dropped the food when he heard Gidget sobbing. As it was, he barely held on to the food as he rushed into the room, only to find her fast asleep, comforted by Annie. He took a breath to calm himself, and walked to their side, trying to step quietly despite his boots. He carefully set the food on a table by Gidget's bed and ran a gentle hand over her hair. "Is she okay?" He asked Annie, keeping his voice low.

Annie glanced up at Ako's question, thankful she had thought to get rid of her tears: she hated showing weakness and now was not the time for it. "Her arm hurts and she misses her brother," Annie replied steadily in a wuite voice, before gently letting go of Gidget and adjusted her on the bed. Annie glanced away as she felt tears build some in her eyes which she quickly hid with her power again.

Meanwhile Christian narrowed his eyes at her almost as if he sensed the use of her powers and Annie glanced back at her son and raised an innocent brow, realizing that her son didn't buy her acting because he could sense emotions. Christian glanced away and spoke up to Ako, "Miss Gidget is showing what I expect is a normal amount of emotion when one loses a loved one." He then narrowed his eyes at Annie, "Showing your emotions is healthy even if it might be annoying or troublesome for others. So at least Gidget is better off than some people. Regardless we brought food for those who didn't come to the cafeteria."

Annie winced slightly at Christian's barbed statements and sighed pinching the bridge of her nose before taking the two containers of food from Daisy Sun and beginning to dig in without much thought.

Trinity looked to Gidget and thought Not long as a human and already she had to go into battle and felt such pain both emotional and physical. It would be a long time before she would get over the loss of her brother...

She looked to Theonis and smiled walked over to his side of the room and placed his food on the night table next to him. Her fingers moved a few strands away from his face. "I brought you some food." she said softly.

As Theonis flew he spotted the giant monster.He raised his sword and struck out. A flash of light streaked towards the beast hitting it in the side. It stumbled back and turned to face Theonis. It roared loudly. The force of the roar knocked him back. He heard a soft whisper and the dream cracked with light as his eyes slowly opened.

"Whaza? Ah....okay" Theonis said softly, yawning.
