More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

It took 2 days for Theonis to recover completely. He was physically fine but during that time he was just tired and it felt as if his body didn't listen to him completely. He took that time to study up. But as soon as he realized he would run out of things to study if he kept up that pace he stopped. During that short period his slipped back into an old habit of his. One he hasn't been able to do since coming to Valhalla. Gaming. Oh god how he had missed that. But he was glad he had more self restraint when it came to it. Before gaming was his first priority now that was Trinity. However she still had her work. Which left him with a lot of free time. Time he usually spent training when he wasn't playing games. Thanks to his advanced learning ability he quickly rose to a level of mastery which one could only get by years of practice. Perhaps it was a bit like cheating but he couldn't help it. There was no way to shut it off. That reminded him....previous time Trinity and him sparred she won.

Things between them didn't change besides her moving in with him..Both of them still teased the other and the sex was just as steamy as it had always been. Theonis touched the back of his shoulder. It bore a claw mark. Well, it felt like a claw but in fact it was Trinity's work from last night. Not that he minded. If that happens it means you are doing it right.

He had accepted his change. The black and gold colored hair wasn't a problem for him at all. In fact he kind of liked it. It was his eyes he had trouble with. He himself couldn't actually see it all the time but he noticed it when other people looked at him. His eyes were kind of scary at times especially when they almost seemed to glow at times but he wasn't sure if they did.

"Of course not," Annie said with a polite smile before bowing her head and returning to her painting.

Christian glanced at her- she could get so wrapped up in painting and art, it didn't make sense to him, but it did surprise him how his mother could make blobs of color into something. He had heard she was an art major and assumed she was decent but never gave it much thought, then again Daedalus wasn't going to just let her do something as frivolous as painting. "Are the others calling you stupid?" Christian asked bluntly. "Maybe I don't want to go to school and be called names, too... What do you want to do? I was getting bored cooped up here but Mom doesn't like me wondering the halls alone even though she should know I am perfectly capable."

Annie smiled faintly at him and said, "You are also perfectly capable of getting into trouble on your own if someone isn't around to keep that busy mind of yours preoccupied all the time. By all means, you aren't a prisoner here, if you want to go about and play do so. It might be good for you."

Christian wrinkled his nose and said conspiratorially to Larry, "I think she is teasing me." It did make him relieved, though, that she had the bit of gusto to do that much. Maybe all that painting was good for her.

Larry shook his head in regards to being called stupid. Still pointing at himself he tried his best to explain. "Teacher. Assume. Kids. Nice."

He thoughtfully put his finger to his lips at the question of wanting to do something. In all honesty he hadn't thought that far ahead. He just wanted to see his little friend.

"Play?"

"That's because it is easier for adult's to think that way," Christian explained with a shrug.

Annie narrowed her eyes at her son who she had a feeling considered saying something else along the lines of adults being stupid but biting the comment back.

Christian, feeling his mother's glare, smiled and said, "Well, let's get out of here and explore then and figure out what we're going to do while we're out and about. I think Mom is going to have an aneurysm or something-uh freak out- if we hang out here too long. She'd rather get lost in her painting which seems kind of boring to me." He held out a hand, "Ready to go, Larry?"

Larry smiled and held out a hand that could easily crush the poor boy. Rather than take his friend's hand and risk injuring him, Larry allowed himself to be taken and led.

As they walked along, Larry took a moment to think about how much things had changed in the last week. No more hiding or being afraid. He was safe here. His sister was also coming out of her shell, which made him happy. Except that lately she had started to become more reclusive. He remembered something like that happening a few times.

His train of thought was broken when he finally thought of something he and Christian could do together. Larry looked down at his friend and asked, "Swim?"

At the moment Theonis was in the training room with his, or rather, Trinity's sword. He still had it on him. The katana flowed in motion as he 'danced'. One swift continues stream of slashes. One move easily merging with the next. All those Kendo instruction video's really paid off for him. The reason why he was using his body instead of his power's was because he was slightly afraid of what might happen if he continued to use it. Ever since coming to Valhalla he had been using it excessively trying to master it and doing so felt good. Until he noticed the first change. His hair. It was subtle at first but after the whole Legion ordeal he was hesitant to use it. Who knows what else might happen? Practicing like this helped keep his mind away from those thoughts. Trinity also helped with that. Oh how she helped district him when he needed to be. Maybe he should get some help regarding that matter. Shed some light on his continues mutations. He hoped that this was the final one. Theonis feared what was next if it didn't. His skin. It really was conflicting for him seeing as how he loved to find new ways to use his power and test himself.

His power had increased, he could feel it. But he was afraid to test his new limit. So he didn't. Shaking his head he continued his practice.

Today Liv didn't feel like getting dressed up all pretty. Sure she would still turn heads but that was mostly her looks. Her face showed no lipstick, no eye-liner nothing. She wore simple jeans and a sleeveless white shirt. Like most of her clothing it did compliment her figure. She sat in the main room in a chair position directly underneath the large glass dome. Taking in the sunlight always did make her feel good.

The egg's heartbeat was still going steady. When it had matured a bit it allowed the Meta's to move it inside. Chances of survival are higher inside of a fortress like Valhalla. Even if you are isolated. The egg wobbled a bit. It had been doing that for the past hours randomly. Sometimes a few times in a row followed by an hour of not moving at all. Something was stirring inside of it, wanting to get out, to be born. It needed to get out. Be free. But it wasn't ready yet. Soon it would be. Soon.

"Sure, the pool will be fine," Christian said taking Larry's hand-more so his wrist and leading the way out of the room, "I'll just have to wear a life jacket, though. I never mastered the art of swimming and I don't feel like using my power to stay floating: it's easier that way. Maybe you can teach me to be a really good swimmer. The scientists at Daedalus weren't all that interested in teaching me to swim."

Once Christian left, Annie lay down her paint brush after painting a few last strokes and went to the sink and began washing out her paint brush. It was rare she got time away from Christian and decided she didn't want to waste it cooped up in the room, even if painting was relaxing. Meeting more people might be good for her, even, considering she was making Valhalla her home.

She glanced in the mirror as she finished cleaning the brushes noticing her curls had already started lightening from the dark dye she had used to try to hide her identity when she was on the run with Shane and a distinct red hue showed. Soon her hair would be back to its natural auburn hue. Sighing, she turned, lay her brushes by the canvas, slipped on a pair of boots with her jeans and tank-top and headed out of the room exploring, deliberately heading the opposite way of the pools.

It didn't take long before Annie found her way toward the training room, she considered passing it by but she noticed Theonis and sighing decided to enter and that she should apologize for how she had treated him since she came here. He was going through a hard time with his changes, she realized that, now, in hindsight, and now that she had let her mind clear more she was more prepared to deal with others. Knocking on the door frame as she entered she said, "Hey. I suppose I owe you an apology- well several technically for how rude I have been towards you and the others. It isn't good to start off on the wrong foot with the head of security's boyfriend of the place I'll be living for a while."

Larry gave his friend a really big smile. The idea of actually helping in a way that didn't involve takiny advantage of his size pleased him.

"Okay. Larry. Teach."

"Okay. Larry. Teach."

Christian smiled as they approached the pool's locker room realizing he was looking forward to just enjoying the pool. Maybe his mom was right and there were merits in just being a kid sometimes. "Thanks," Christian said. "I bet you'll be a great teacher. The locker room has a place you can get swimsuits, right?" Christian added, realizing he left his swimming trunks in the room and it had seemed that Larry had been there before. It would be nice for Larry to be boss and in charge for once, Christian decided.

Larry smiled and led Christian to the automatic locker room. He approached one of the small doors and stated, "Trunks. Blue. Size...um...Four X's."

There was a whirring of machinery behind the door. After only a few seconds a small robotic hand holding Larry's requested trunks reached out to him.

Larry plucked them out of the hand and looked down at Christian with a smile. "Try. Larry. Change." Larry suggested before shuffling over to a changing room.

Christian nodded letting out a large sigh and requested swimming trunks in black. Walking to a changing room he quickly changed and headed out to the main locker room to wait for Larry. As an after thought he added, "Life jacket for a three-year old." The robotic hand came back holding a bright orange life jacket that made him cringe but he took it and began to work on shrugging the life jacket on. He smiled slightly and thought, maybe if I'm lucky I won't need this after today.

Larry stepped around the corner. His large hairless body was incredibly pale due to lack of sun exposure. He looked down at his little friend and waved him toward a low occupancy pool. He wanted a lot of room for Christian to learn. Larry felt that a smart boy like him would pick up on swimming easily.

The door opened and there were a few people in the pool already. Once they saw that Larry was coming they quickly excused themselves. Word of his occasionally destructive pool outings had spread quickly, and people knew to give him a wide berth.

Larry waited patiently while the pool emptied. Normally he would be saddened by such a thing, but he understood that his size made him a walking hazard. Once the pool emptied he gently stepped into the shallow end. The water rose and washed out over the side.

He looked over at Christiant and asked, "Ready?

Christian nodded with a small smile and got into the pool after Larry, "Ready as I ever will be." Getting into the pool felt great having the water on his skin: he liked the water and humidity (probably because of his power). Suddenly he realized that the last time he was near a pool this large he was sitting at the edge of it at Daedalus and they were asking him to change it to acid and then back to water: he was successful, even if he had to sleep almost a whole day afterwards. However, unlike, his mother's power, it was more natural for him to change acid to water than to change water to acid.

Floating because of the life jacket he frowned and said, "So what do I do to actually get anywhere besides cheating and making the water push me where I want to go?"
