More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Theonis was in a world of his own when Annie knocked. Finishing his current move with sheathing the sword, he turned to face his visitor. After wiping away some sweat from his forehead. He had to admit he did not expect Annie out of all the people to come visit him. Maybe it was just a coincidence but still. Then he heard her apology. Again something he didn't expect from her. But then again he could never really read her. Not that he had known her long enough to being able to do something like that. It was a nice gesture of her though.

" Well you gave me a good acid burn and later helped save my life. We just have a odd relationship like that." Theonis joked. It didn't bother him anymore what happened." But apology accepted. But maybe you'd need to direct it to Trinity instead of me.I mean you saw her face when you snapped at me right?"

"You probably been through a lot. Especially with Daedelus and all so I can't say I blame you for acting like that. But enough about those guys. How are you settling in?"

"I suppose you are right about Trinity, though, I didn't really see her face: I was too focused on Christian. It is a bit inconvenient that he can sense people's emotions no matter what," Annie admitted. "Besides, Trinity intimidates me, now. I met her years ago and she's changed into a stronger, better person than me- it makes me feel a bit guilty."

Annie shrugged, "Regardless, I suppose I'm settling in alright. Christian seems to be doing well, and that is what is important. He seems to have made a friend which is good. And I've started painting which calms me down. I have thirteen years of art floating around in my head so I can be kept busy for a while if need be."

"How about you, with all of your changes and what not?"

Floating because of the life jacket he frowned and said, "So what do I do to actually get anywhere besides cheating and making the water push me where I want to go?"

Larry was tempted to scoot Christian along with the use of his giant finger, but thought better of it when he considered his friend's feelings. Instead he made a suggestion.

"Doggie. Paddle. First. Step."

Annie had her own problems, he knew that. But it was good to hear she and Christian were settling in.

Theonis sighed."To be honest....fearful of using it again. This happened when I pushed myself over the edge." He pointed at his eyes and hair." I am...afraid of what might happen if I continue to use it. Maybe this is the last of the changes or maybe not. I don't know. I like using it, training it, finding new ways how to use it. But at what cost?"

"It isn't standard power exhaustion by any means," Annie said. "Some metas powers are too complex or powerful for their bodies to handle- mine is like that. Power exhaustion in a lot of ways is a good thing because it keeps metas like me from being unstoppable weapons in the wrong hands. But, maybe you're different than me and your body is actually evolving to catch up with your immense power."

She raised a brow and continued, "It would make sense that is why you go through changes when you use your powers more." Annie shrugged and continued, "The only reason I propose that is because I think that is what Daedalus hoped would eventually happen with me, that if I used my power enough, eventually my body could catch up. Of course, that didn't happen, but I think that is for the best considering my personality and where I was."

Larry was tempted to scoot Christian along with the use of his giant finger, but thought better of it when he considered his friend's feelings. Instead he made a suggestion.

"Doggie. Paddle. First. Step."

"Right," Christian sighed splashing in the water and ending up turning himself in a tight circle. He gritted his teeth and tried again before managing to get a few feet forward before he stopped.

Larry watched his little friend become frustrated. "Patient. Takes. Time."

He watched Christian for a bit longer. He it took a bit, but it soon sank in that Christian was overthinking swimming. He would need to learn practically.

Without so much as asking for permission, Larry plucked Christian out of the water by his vest with one hand. He sat the boy down on the palm of his other hand and said, "Off. Larry. Help. No. Drown."

He gave Christian a reassuring smile.

"Yeah," Christian said a bit unsure, though he added in the back of his head that if worse came to worse he could always make the water leave the pool so he wouldn't drown. He slipped off the vest and gave an unsure smile, "Okay, I'm trusting you. You're boss."

There was activity all about in the Chrysalis holding area. Scientists and guards posted all about, keeping an eye on the growing metas. In a few off corner was the smallest one. While it's egg housed counterpart needed more time, this creature was ready.

The small chrysalis began to tremble at first, the a clawed hand broke the shell. The hand then morphed to a humanoid one and tried to pry itself loose. It was having trouble since it had never used it's eyes before. It called out, not with words it didn't know speech yet, but with moans and cries that sounded like it needed help.

Larry maintained his smile and slowly lowered his hand. He kept his hand below Christian as he gave his instructions.

"Breath. Float. Nobreath. Sink. Like. Floatie. A-air. T-try."

Larry raised his free hand to his head. He made a face as his head began to ache with mental exertion. He did his best to maintain a pleasant demenor for Christian.

Gidget scooched up into a seated position, leaving only the bare curves of her back visible. She drew the sheet up to her chest and smiled sweetly at Ako. "Of course I did. You leave only pleasant thoughts in my dreams."

Her eyes took him in from head to toe. Her cheeks turned a soft red at the ideas of what she wanted to do to him...or let him do to her. After thirteen years of feeling nothing, all she wanted was pleasure. Physical, emotional, carnal, it didn't matter. It was all the same to her as long as the pain went away.

"It's awful lonely in this big bed of yours," she whined playfully, "and I'm not sure if these covers are enough to keep me warm."

Ako chuckled at the cheesy-ness of those lines, pushing off of the doorway to stroll over to the bed. As bad as her spoken lines were, the lines of her form were still irresistible. In one smooth motion he'd practiced in his head, he set the glass of water on the nightstand, lifted the covers to slide under them, wrapped and arm around Gidget's shoulders and drew her to him.

He softly kissed her forehead and asked, "Better?"

Theonis folded his arms. It was consistent with what he thought earlier. His dad seemed to think the same as well judging by what he said before the battle.

"Hmmm I suspected as much...I thought of something like that when it first happened. Figured maybe it was a delayed reaction at first but when it continued...I thought maybe my DNA was just different. Different from normal Meta's and the opposite of Shane's. His DNA rejected the change right? Normal Meta's are forced to accept it but maybe mine...accepts it. It does make sense. To me anyway." Theonis stated." I did come a long way during my brief stay here. I'm not sure how strong I am right now but I think I'm stronger than before."

He scratched the back of his head." Hell, maybe I am just thinking too much about it."

Ako chuckled at the cheesy-ness of those lines, pushing off of the doorway to stroll over to the bed. As bad as her spoken lines were, the lines of her form were still irresistible. In one smooth motion he'd practiced in his head, he set the glass of water on the nightstand, lifted the covers to slide under them, wrapped and arm around Gidget's shoulders and drew her to him.

He softly kissed her forehead and asked, "Better?"

Gidget nestled into his embraced and sighed softly, "Much better." She just couldn't get enough of this. A thing like sensation is taken for granted, but she had a different point of view on the topic. Now she couldn't get enough of it.

The first few days had been her gorging on food all day before retiring to Ako's room for the evening. Then it had been going around and showing off her flesh and blood body to collegues and friends before retiring to Ako's room. Now it was just all Ako all the time.

She pondered for a moment before asking, "Ako, do you think I'm overly attatched? If I'm smothering you at all, please let me know."

David had been examining the pods every day since they were moved over. It had become daily routine for him. Opinions regarding the pods were varied. Some were on constant edge because they were spawned from Legion. Others fully supported the given story about how they were the people Shane had consumed only returned as Meta's. However that did not make it safe by default. They could still turn out to be a threat.

A sound reached his ears. A sound that did not come from anyone around. It continued. As if it was calling out for help. David instantly dropped everything and ran towards the corner where the sound had originated from. He froze on the spot when he saw a part of an arm sticking out of the shell.

"It's happening!! One is hatching! Alert Trinity and Gidget! Soldiers be ready just in case!" David shouted out as he rushed towards the arm. Without hesitation he pried his hands into the small gaps next to the arm of the ...person inside of it. Once they were in deep enough he gripped the sides and started pulling off pieces of the shell. " Hold on buddy. I gotcha." David muttered as he worked to free the person. It didn't dawn upon him that it was a small arm.

The soldier in charge was used to David ordering them around in here. He had accepted it for now. No talking that man out of something when it came down to research like this. Often the man thought they were beginning to hatch and told them so but this time...he sounded dead serious and actually ordered them.God it was really happening wasn't it? Quickly he did as he was told.

He was never good at talking directly to the upper chain of command. His messages tended to be brief because of it. Less words meant less chance to slip up. If the message came across correctly that was.
