Courtyard (South)

He felt Lena's hand on his arm. It was lukewarm, indicating something was wrong. He closed the gap a little more between the two without being all that obvious.

He heard Lena's somewhat discriminatory comments and took them to mind. He didn't know much about the world so he took it more as information than an objective statement.

He kept focused and loosened up should anything sudden might happen.

"accually no, i am not a magic user...i have a form of magic, it is not one i wish to have, i just have it...also, i cannot control it, but thats besides the point. some people are not born with the talent of armed combat. some are born with the ability to perform great things, excell in magic, use there minds more than their brawn. and that is not a bad thing, its takes all kinds to make a battle, thats like saying, you can win a war with just swordsman, if the other army has half the swordsman, and twice the archers...they will still decimate you, because they will even the odds. they will lower your numbers before you even arrive to their swordsman...in a way, magic can hit you, before you hit them...and thats the point..." Zasz smiles at her and realizes she was trying to get away from him using someone else....he turns around and begins to walk away...he suddenly kneels and black feathered wings burst out of his back in a spray of blood....
"this is my magic, my curse..." he takes flight and begins to fly to the north...

Alef silently wandered into the court yard. It was either dead silence, or there would be some sort of fight about to ensue. She sighed lightly and distanced herself from the group of people. Whatever this was, she did not feel the need to get involved in, but perhaps, it would be entertaining to watch. As always, she found a bench to sit on, and just leaned back to relax. Jesus, no one I know is ever around when I am... She thought, staring blankly at the scene some twenty-five foot away from her.

All he could do right now was stand there,. and listen to the somewhat disorganized and, in his opinion, misguided ramblings of this self proclaimed expert in the arts of war.

When the wings appeared from the fool's back, Taern simply noted it but did not pay much attention. it did not seem out of the ordinary in a place like this but then again, Taern was probably not quiet normal himself and that may be the reason something like the events previously stated seemed so trivial a matter to him.

When the man flew off, he took a step forward. It was a rather large step as it brought him about 2 feet forwards. He brought up his eye's HUD and began to search some more files. One of particular interest contained a video file. The somewhat garbled speech made it hard to understand. He kept playing it back, getting more information from it. He later closed the file, retaining what he could from it.

He then took a knife from one of the pockets in his vest and threw it into the ground. The sound reverberated for a bit, and then faded away. He pulled the knife up again and sheathed it.

He turned to Lena and looked at her with an emotionless expression, "I'm going back to my place. You can come if you want." He turned his back and began to head off in the direction of the boy's dormitory.

Lena remained utterly still. She wasn't sure whether to leave or not. She finally shook her head. "I need to stay." It was all she was going to say on the subject. She watched Taern leave and then turned back toward the direction that the man had gone.

He was a freak that was for sure. She scowled and replayed the scene over in her head. There was something about it. She wasn't sure. It had triggered something but she uncertain as to what. Her lips tightened to a harsh line. There had always been something strange about her but it had always been a rediculous notion. Her birth was a mystery to herself as well. The farthest back she could remember was being 10 years old. Before it was a blank. As though she had never existed. On occasion, there were flashes of something else but she could never grasp them. The fact that she was everything a fighter could be didn't disturb her like it did other people.

Lena rubbed her temples in agitation. SHe bled like a human. She was human. Wasn't she? Taern looked human enough but apparently he was some kind of human made of metal. She beleive they were called robots but she wasn't sure. Their history had been distorted so many times and lost, that no one really knew anything anymore.

She glanced up and saw a girl watching a couple feet away. She frowned and settled against a tree. She really needed to think.

Zasz hovers above momentarialy watching the man go...he sees the girl sitting down now deep in thought....he slowly coasts to the ground. landing almost as a feather in front of her....his black cloak landing shortly after.....
"i am sorry miss, if i offended...." Zasz leans to his side to look at her face from a side view..he leans the other way and looks. then stands straight up...his wings fall down behind him. they lay on the ground they are so large.

Lena's hand immediately went to her weapon as she heard the voice. She looked up and found the man from before. She couldn't remember his name. THen again, she couldn't remember if he had told her. "Offend me you did not. I do not get offended. No one has lived that has dared." Her hand dropped from her sword handle and she studied him through narrowed eyes. Just what was he up to?

Walking around the southern courtyard, he strode past many people. With only looking around he took a seat on a stone bench. Sitting there as he spread his arms, and looked up at the sky. He seemed to not be able to see any of his classes, with no thought of his classes, he wondered how everyone back at his home was doing.

Zasz smiled at her again as she lowers her weapon....he extends his hand to her to offer her to stand up...
"i am sorry for before...as i once stated. my name is Zasz, and yours is Lena if i can recall...if you do not wish me to speak to you. or if your, "boyfriend" would look down upon i will leave. i just wished to speak with you," Zasz left his hand extended waiting for her to either cut it off, or take it.

The Potluck was being cleaned up all around them, as they sipped their hot chocolate, which Nohea thought to be the best hot chocolate she had ever tasted in her life.

"Oh, well, I'm not sure what I'm going to do...maybe I'll go look for Kyoshi, he seemed really really mad..."
Nohea answered Taqune

She gave her mug back to Sakura,

"Thank you, that was delicious!!" Nohea exclaimed to Ai

Ikaika looked to Nohea,

"Nohea, I need to talk to you about somthing..." Ikaika said quietly to her as she was near him while giving back her mug.

Nohea looked up at Ikaika, his bright blue eyes looking softly down at her.

Wow...he's more handsome than I thought...

"O-ok, but I should probably--"

Just then a shadow circle started to form right next to them. Kyoshi slowly rose out of the circle.
Nohea looked at him with a surprised expression, but Ikaika just turned his head and raised an eyebrow,

"Er, hello again..." Ikaika said

Kyoshi just glared at him.
Nohea saw in Kyoshi's eyes that he was going to hit Ikaika again, so she stepped between them and look up straight into Kyoshi's dark brown eyes,

"Kyo, please, don't hurt him!! He didn't mean to, he didn't!! Please, let it go!"

Kyoshi looked down at Nohea, his eyes widened and a slight blush came over his face,
Sh-she called me Kyo...!

"Yeah, let it go, geez...I don't even know you." Ikaika said

Kyoshi's eyes quickly darted to Ikaika as he made this comment,

"Why you...!!" Kyoshi charged forward, thrusting his hand towards Ikaika's neck, his hand surrounded by some sort of dark smoke-like stuff.

Ikaika quicky stepped out of the way, extending his foot out and tripping Kyoshi.

"Ahh!!" Nohea squealed, putting her hands on her mouth.

Kyoshi fell forward, bumping into Sakura Ai's hot chocolate stand. This caused the hot chocolate to fall, spilling the steaming-hot hot chocolate all over Kyoshi from his chest down.
Kyoshi screamed in pain, almost his whole body being burned severely by the hot chocolate.

Nohea turned pale in terror, but she quickly held her hands out.

The hot chocolate slowly rose up off of Kyoshi and form a big steaming sphere. She quickly threw her arms to the right, sending the hot chocolate to another spot and let it fall, the hot chocolate sinking into the ground.

Nohea ran over to Kyoshi, almost crying,

"KYOSHI, KYOSHI, KYOSHI!!!! OH KYOSHI!!" she yelled, holding her hands above Kyoshi, not knowing what to do. She didn't have any healing powers, so she couldn't help him.

Kyoshi moaned loudly in pain, his body so burned.

I'm going to die...I'm going to die...no...

His eyes slowly opened his eyes. He could see Nohea crying, but he couldn't hear her yelling his name.

Maybe...I'm just going to die like this...in darkness...

"We have to get him to a hospital!!" Ikaika exclaimed running towards him

Nohea looked up at Ikaika.
It was all his fault anyway, Ikaika was the one who tripped Kyoshi. Nohea felt alittle angry, but right now she had to get Kyoshi to the hospital in the school,

"Yes, here..."

Nohea held out her hands again. Small shadows began to come from different places and forming under Kyoshi. She raised her hands up a bit, and Kyoshi rose up into the air, the shadows carrying him.
Nohea turned to Taqune and Sakura,
"I'm so sorry!" Nohea appologized, tears flowing down her face, though she didn't notice she was crying

Nohea walked towards an exit of the courtyard, Kyoshi floating infront of her. Ikaika followed briskly behind her

I....shouldn't have done that... Ikaika thought, feeling the guilt
((I guess I'll post in the hospital later...btw, how would one treat a severe burn like this? eek ))

((well...first they would take steril sailene solution and wash it out for about 10 min...then they would but a burn ointment on it and bandage it with gauzz pads..they would wrap it all the way around the wound...and keep it there with butterfly hooks....unless its an eye injury...then they would use the sailene and then just bandage the eyes...cover them so no light gets in for a while...then after like a week, take it off...))

Taern returned to the Southern end of the courtyard, after what seemed like, several hours in his dorm room. He had lost track of time but really didn't care to know what time it was anyway. He'd already figured that his recent lack of sleep had no effect on him at all.

He scanned the area , noticing the usual things that were about the courtyard. People training or fighting in one way or another, but other than that, most of the people were alone, puzzling about their thoughts or just hanging around. Tearn's eyes then fixed on Lena and the man she had seen before. He knew by the way Lena reacted before that this particular person made her very uncomfortable.

He could smell the wings of the man from here. They smelt like a mixture of fresh blood and burning embers. A chill when up his spine and made him a bit tense but he gradually dismissed these thoughts and feelings. He didn't see a connection between himself and the wings.

He made his way towards the two seeing Lena on the ground and the man offering his hand to her. If the man wanted to keep that particular hand, he would be wise to withdraw it. Lena seemed in the mood, in Taern's opinion, to kill the winged figure.

Taqune watched the whole event fall in place like a slow motion movie he thought about using his regeneration, but he didn't know how it would react with Kyoshi's powers. Taqune finished his Hot Coco and followed behind the three people heading to the hospital he figured he might have to help in someway and if all else fails he could try his powers on Kyoshi."Sorry to Leave you Ai but I might be able to help him if the doctors think it would work."Taqune left to the hospital but not before picking up Ai's stand and cleaning up a bit with her in his super speed fashion.

Lena gave an abrupt shruig and ignored his hand as she stood. "He's not my boyfriend. Last time anyone attempted to name a boyfriend I used their genitals to use as a weave for a cover." She leaned back against the tree. "What is it that you wish to talk about? And you had best hurry for I do not like idle talk."
