Theonis folded his arms. It was consistent with what he thought earlier. His dad seemed to think the same as well judging by what he said before the battle.

"Hmmm I suspected as much...I thought of something like that when it first happened. Figured maybe it was a delayed reaction at first but when it continued...I thought maybe my DNA was just different. Different from normal Meta's and the opposite of Shane's. His DNA rejected the change right? Normal Meta's are forced to accept it but maybe mine...accepts it. It does make sense. To me anyway." Theonis stated." I did come a long way during my brief stay here. I'm not sure how strong I am right now but I think I'm stronger than before."

He scratched the back of his head." Hell, maybe I am just thinking too much about it."

"Perhaps," Annie said with a nod, "I don't claim to be an expert in biology. I only know what I do from what I heard at Deadalus and from others. Sh-" she paused her voice cracking slightly before returning to a calm controlled tone, "Shane would have been more helpful. He was the expert in biology. Most metas' body can't keep up with the change, but I would assume if there are people whose DNA rejects the change then there should be people whose DNA accepts the change quite readily."

Gidget nestled into his embraced and sighed softly, "Much better." She just couldn't get enough of this. A thing like sensation is taken for granted, but she had a different point of view on the topic. Now she couldn't get enough of it.

The first few days had been her gorging on food all day before retiring to Ako's room for the evening. Then it had been going around and showing off her flesh and blood body to collegues and friends before retiring to Ako's room. Now it was just all Ako all the time.

She pondered for a moment before asking, "Ako, do you think I'm overly attatched? If I'm smothering you at all, please let me know."

Truth be told, Ako was starting to feel a little claustrophobic, but he wasn't sure what it was from. Was it because he was spending so much time inside, or was it truly Gidget's attachment? He hated think it was the latter, after all, he'd spent so long on his own. He didn't realize how much he missed being around other people, much less one who loved him. He looked off into space for a moment, unsure of how to answer the question. A beep from Gidget's side of the bed interrupted his short silence, and he thanked whoever had sent the message. Maybe it would be something that needed her attention.

Now it was Theonis who nodded." Even if that's me....there's still no telling in when it will stop though. Maybe if I stop improving myself by pushing my limits. Hell I might even break Trinity's gravity record if I go all out now. A hundred times gravity doesn't seem so intimidating anymore." Theonis shrugged.

So now what would they talk about? They knew each other slightly but aren't really friends yet. He wanted to ask about a few things but he decided to wait until they did get to know each other a bit better.

"Say have you seen those pods yet? David keeps on saying that they could hatch any minute. But then again he's been saying that for two days now."

Gidget could sense Ako's apprehension. Her eyes began to well up with tears. Her emotional stability had been on a wobbly fence since she got her body back. She was doing her best to keep them in check, but it was definitely an uphill climb.

She was on the verge of bawling out an apology when she heard her phone go off. Almost as soon as the waterworstarted, they had stopped almost as quickly. She huffed and rolled over to pick it up. She tapped the screen and read the short message.

Her eyes bolted open and she hopped out of bed in a hurry. So much of a hurry that she got herself tangled up in her sheets and tumbled over the size with an awkward thud.

"Ow..."

The shell broke apart to reveal a child. Further removal of the shell displayed obviously male bits. He was small, had brown hair, and was shivering furioisly. He cried out as the cold air hit his skin. He still couldn't see anything, and the mass of blurry shapes were making him nervous.

The past week work had been pretty light. For the most part it was checking on things all day. She was looking over some security footage then her smart phone buzzed and quickly she looked at it.

Text to Trinity and Gidget
One is hatching!

Her eyes widen at the text. Immediately she dropped through her shadow and emerged from the shadow of the soldier that sent the text then thanked the man for notifying her.

She walked into the incubation room and saw David. "Congratulations" she said jokingly a little. "How is the child? Have we determined the meta power?"

Ako knew he'd screwed up as soon as he saw Gidget's face. Anything would have been better than silence, even if it was a lie. He wanted to say something, but Gidget's reaction to the text cut him off. He could only watch as she bolted out of bed, tangling herself in the sheets. She might have just drug them with her if his own weight hadn't held them back. As it was, he hurried off and around the bed to help her back to her feet. He held her tightly for a moment, rubbing her shoulders. He didn't have the words for an apology, nothing sounded sincere enough. Words couldn't describe his feelings. All he could say was, "I love you."

Gidget winced as she was helped up. She was about to comment on her lack of grace when Ako embraced her. She fell silent and listened to his quiet declaration. In the last week he had never uttered those words. Oh he had said many things, but he had never said those three words.

She was caught completely off guard. She smiled and teared up again. All she could think to say was a squeaky, "Really?"

Ako tightened his hug, an unconscious attempt to prove to both of them that this moment was real and honest. He had to remind himself to watch his strength, to be careful not to harm her newly frail, fleshy body. He kissed the top of her head, whispering into her hair, "I've never lied to you."

Gidget rested her head against his chest and gave a content hum. She then remembered why she got so amped up in the first place. She wiggled out of Ako's embrace and started to put her clothes on in a hurry.

"The call came down. One of the chrysali is hatching. You want to come see?"

"Ya know...it's not all that bad being a Meta. You're still you Aman. Your DNA might be different but you're not. Still the same person." Liv said trying to comfort Amanda. This must be hard on her. Being human all of her life and then like everyone else, that life was over." We all know what this feels like." Liv sighed." Well let's get these boxes to my place. Gonna be over in a flash since I can take objects with me when I Light travel."

Amanda let out a deep breath, she knew she may regret saying it but it needed to be said. "Liv, you know what? Has it ever occured to you that may be I don't want to rush this? That maybe I don't like being called 'Aman'? Or maybe I don't want to be your roommate?

Look I don't mind being you're friend and all... It just seems like you already assume to much of me. We barely know each other and you act as if you know everything there is to know about me.

I've already made arrangements with the residential office on a room alone. Please Liv, I don't need you're help with this. If anything I'd rather spend as much time as I can here. This is my first apartment, proof that I could make it on my own. It's my independence... and now I have to live in Valhalla depending on others to take care of me." She sighed a little. "Just... leave me alone... I have some moving to do." With that she opened the door and pushed Liv out with her telekinesis power.

As the week went by Amanda moved in and was able to practice her power. She had to say goodbye to her apartment and to her, goodbye to her independence. Once everything was moved in she went back to work the next day. Luckily she managed to find a dorm near the residential office where she works. The work days, although she was very fast at doing things with her new speed the days itself seemed to go slower. Probably because it seemed longer because of how fast she was going.

Heather quickly shuffled out of her class, doing her best to keep her head down. She felt feverish, but was unable to sweat. She avoided eye contact with those around her and moved with some urgency to her dorm. After opening the door, she threw her bag down and rushed to the bathroom. She turned the cold water on full blast and jumped into the shower with her clothes on.

She coughed and gagged violently. It felt like her throat was being raked by a brilo pad.

The sound of her struggle made it's way to the hallway. She had forgotten to shut the door to her dorm.

Kerana was having a lot of fun learning things at school and hanging out with her friends after. She was really happy that her room mate Deora and her friend Heather got to go school with her. Granted not all in the same classes but they had lunch together and some times dinner after school.

She was heading toward Heather and Larry's place when suddenly she heard the sounds of coughing and gagging. Her ears twitched. The sound sent shivers down her spine all the way to her tail. She took a deep breath and rushed toward the door. "Hey Heather! Are you okay in there?" She did think it strange that their door was wide opened.

Ako released her, turning to admire her as she dressed. The idea of watching an egg hatch didn't seem to appealing to him, but it would be more interesting than sitting here or wandering the halls again. Besides, it didn't seem like a good idea to leave Gidget's side just yet. Though she'd had a week, it looked as though it would take much longer before she was back to her old self, if she ever would be.

"Sure,"
He said, finding a simple short sleeve shirt to wear. He slipped it on, continuing; "Just one so far?"

"Not in person," Annie admitted, "I've been trying to clear my head and truth be told I've been busy with watching Christian. He is mature enough to watch himself but call it the over protective mother in me who wants to make sure he has someone older with him, after all he is only three even if he doesn't act like it."

"Anyways, did you want to go see those pods? I am free of Christian for a while and have the time right now," she admitted.

David took off his lab coat and put it around the child to shield it from the air. After noticing Trinity he greeted her. "Wasn't expecting the first birth I'd help with to be like this." He said returning the joke but soon he'd turn serious again." All of them here are Meta's that is confirmed but individual power's have not yet been detected yet. The shell made it impossible" David rubbed the child's back a bit trying to calm him down despite not really knowing how to handle children.

Simultaneously a bit further away two arms erupted from the two shells that were next to each other. Judging by the hands one was male and the other female. The female had no problem's with freeing herself, with ease she broke the shell. The man took a little longer but managed to free himself as well. As they both fell naked out a loud gasp of air was heard before they hit the ground on their knees. Wet hair stuck to their bodies. The woman had long hair while the man's hair was neck length. The feature that stood out the most was...their hair kept changing color ever second! They could speak but their vision took a little longer to come back. They had used it before as opposed to the child.

David turned his head as it happened. " Did this one cause a chain reaction?" He certainly hoped not. That meant they would all be born after this and with so many new born Meta's accidents were bound the happen! That wasn't good. David started commanding again despite Trinity being next to him and also despite the fact that he actually held no power over her. "Trinity, check out the others and get additional forced over here. If they are all going to be hatched right now we will need all the help we can get"

"Has to be hard to have a kid that doesn't think off himself as one." Theonis commented. "But yeah sure. Haven't seen em myself yet. I've talked to David a couple of times so I know a few things about them but that's it. "

"Well then.." He said as he made sure the sword was secure on his hip." Shall we?"
