More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Gidget released Ako's hand and stepped up to Alexavier. She put one hand on her hip and poked him in the chest with her other hand.

"How should I know? I don't know anything about your condition or what Shane tried to do. You don't get to hatch in MY labs and demand answers."

She looked him up and down, blushed, and turned to the guards watching the argument. "Will someone get some clothes for Adam and Eve here?"

"Let's hope so. Hate to see it being Legion's last prank on us to have them go berserk." Theonis replied. Soon they entered the hall he noticed the activity. "Well....I think we came at rush hour or something. That or they are hatching."

"I would guess hatching. I'm going to go find Gidget," Annie said excusing herself. There was one pair of metas she was particular concerned about- Alexavier and Cassandra, and with a few quick inquiries she found Gidget and the newly hatched Alexavier and Cassandra. She entered at the point Gidget was requesting clothes for the two.

Standing back she crossed her arms and raised a brow, deciding not to announce her entrance for the moment.

The boy's smile had quite an effect on Larry. He had never seen his little friend with such a genuine smile.

"Kick. Legs. Like. Scissors."

Christian paused for a moment and asked, "What about my arms? I thought people did something with their arms too..."

Nova Blancke

The two looked at each other a sense of disbelief and confusion came over them when they heard the woman speak. Their eyes also changing color.

"He said...we'd be together. One again....no longer part together." The man spoke slowly as if his body was re-learning how to speak as he spoke. He reached out and touched the woman's face. " I...can't feel you." She didn't respond with words. She had never been one for words. " We...are free from each other? I don't feel the urge anymore....But...this can't be what Shane meant." They both turned to face Trinity and stood up. It seemed they could still do things simultaneously with their previous link. "You, Trinity. Why aren't we one?!" The man demanded. His hair fixed on red briefly.

Trinity had no idea what the man was talking about. Yet she remembered that the two were with Shane when they were on the run. She also remembered that Shane had to face them when she and the others made their escape. Initially she was going to send them directly to the med bay but then the questions arose. Questions she didn't have answers for. As Gidget entered it seemed she had some idea what was going on here but didn't seem to have an answer for their inquiry.

She looked him up and down, blushed, and turned to the guards watching the argument. "Will someone get some clothes for Adam and Eve here?"

Trinity nodded and took action. She dropped down in her shadow and emerged a few seconds later with a couple of white fluffy bathrobes. The bathrobes were placed on the shoulders of the nude letting them figure out the rest. "Y'know for some reason, if Shane were to try to do that I thought you would be in the big egg we found in the middle of the pods. I suppose that may be something entirely different." She was somewhat concerned when thinking about it, What is in side that big one?... Why did it turn out different from the rest? Questions that had been weighing on her mind since she found the egg in the middle of all of the pods.

Alexavier put on the robe and tied it off tightly. He appreciate the warmth if gave but didn't mention it. Right now there were bigger concerns on his mind.

" Egg? What egg? Tell me! We should have merged." Alexavier said sounded a bit desperate. He dug his face in his hand and slowly began to laugh. " Legion....you damned little..."Alexavier cursed. If Legion still lived. If he was inside of that as the product of their merge...

"I fear you may have killed everyone in this facility by placing that thing here."

Cassandra put the boy down for a second to put on the robe. When she was done she again picked him up to cradle him once more. Her grip increased slightly when Alexavier mentioned what would happen. She would not part with this child.

Theonis nodded to Annie as she left. As usual Theonis was curious. He made his way through the chrysalises. It didn't take him long to spot the source of commotion. Alexavier and Cassandra! Theonis put his guard up. What was the point of worrying what would happen to his body if he was dead? Trinity was there...so was Ako and Gidget. Annie too. But last time they could hardly do anything against them. He hoped it would end in a fight.

Trinity, thought about what Alexavier said. Wouldn't we be able to tell it was Legion? she wondered. She turned toward David. "You've been keeping an eye on the egg right? Have you had any luck finding out who or what is inside it?"

David was trying to examine the boy a bit more but Cassandra refused to let him near the child. Seemed like she was over protective of the boy. David let out a sigh them turned to face Trinity.

"No Ma'm. The Meta readings are confirmed from the very first day but ever since then I had to adjust the scale or it wouldn't fit in our projected estimates of its potential power. The last couple of days even that didn't work anymore. Whatever is inside of it is on a whole other level than your average Meta." David explained a bit nervous. " I uhm...like..ran some tests to see if we could damage it. You know, just in case. It wouldn't let us run the tests, like when we first wanted to move it. The thought just left our mind."

David was trying to examine the boy a bit more but Cassandra refused to let him near the child. Seemed like she was over protective of the boy. David let out a sigh them turned to face Trinity.

Annie listened to what David said and decided to speak up, "If the egg isn't completely sealed- or when it hatches- there should be some available liquid. If it is biological it shouldn't be indestructible with acid. I would rather not do any destruction though and give whatever is in that egg a chance, no matter how horrible it could be. Even if it is the worse case scenario, we can't assume it is, because that would make us as bad as Daedalus. Have you tried, sir, metas who are 'sensors' to see if they can get a reading on the egg?"

The boy had been silent the whole time, quietly reading his mother's thoughts. He began to comprehend speech just as Annie spoke up. Her voice struck a familiar chord in him and he pushed himself upright to get a look at the woman that just spoke.

Gidget threw her hands up to get the attention to her question. "Whoa whoa whoa. Shane had revealed to me that Legion was the collective unconscious of the tortured minds he had consumed. You mean to tell...me..."

Gidget's face went pale as she took a good look at the boy in Cassandra's arms. She had seen the boy, except it was in photographs...in her old house.

She made a sickly swallowing sound as it sank in. She stumbled backwards into Ako and stammered, "He...why...that...Shane?"

The boy didn't even register the name as something of importance. He only pointed at Annie and said, "Broken."

Kerana

Kerana stood back a little as she saw the flame come out of Heather's mouth. Then watched her rush back into the shower. Kerana really wanted to help but. She saw that a new shade of scales was showing through her green shade. The fox girl made a face as she came closer. She had never seen anything like this happen to anyone. Reaching her hand into the water she found it was cold. Perhaps some ice would help with the situation. She went place the fire extinguisher by the door of the bathroom and went to the fridge to got the whole box of ice. "Heather I have some ice here I'm going to put it next to-to you're hand." she placed it right next to Heather's hand and hoped that would relieve some of the pain. "I'm going to call the med bay and see if they have any advice.

She stepped out of the bathroom and called the med bay, "Hello?... Yes, hi. Something's happening to my friend, she's a green lizard named Heather. Her scales are changing color, there seems to be a lot of waxy looking substances and now all of the sudden she can breath fire. On top of it all she's in a lot of pain. Is there anything I can do to help her?"

The fire subsided and burned out as she expunged the rest of it into the safety of the tub. A sharp pain struck at her right eye and she instinctively tore at the flesh with her new talons. She ripped off a patch of scales that revealed more of the same crimson scales underneath. A membrane on her eye cracked and slid off to reveal an eye that appeared more bestial and feral than her left.

She stood up, panting heavily and producing smoke from her mouth and nostrils. The world was swimming around her. She almost didn't feel her teeth falling out of her mouth and being replaced by new razor sharp ones that slid out of her gums slowly.

She snuffled over to Kerana and desperately grabbed her friend's arm. She looked directly at Kerana with her mismatched eyes and growled, "Doctor, get me...too-"

Her eyes rolled back in her head as she lost her grip on Kerana. She slid forward and hit the ground hard with her knees before her face. She remained in a semi-conscious state, as if viewing the world from he eyes of a dreamer.

"Shane?" Annie demanded, her hands beginning to shake some before she calmed herself with a deep breath. She looked at the boy- he did share a likeness. "You mean to tell me that is Shane?"

Pinching the bridge of her nose she took a deep breath, before approaching Cassandra and the boy. "Broken?" Annie asked with a small smile, slightly forced but a little hopeful, "What do you mean broken?"

The boy reached out to Annie and flatly stated, "Your body is broken. I can fix it."

Gidget was still trying to piece it all together. The boy definitely looked like Shane at that age, but there was something different about him. "Be careful Annie. It looks like him, but I don't think it is him."
