Alright, found a book I'm gonna start reading. So, I'm going to log off from here to focus on it.

And I'm back.

Ended up having Shrimp Fried Rice for lunch. I wasn't sure about it when I saw it listed on the menu but it ended up being better than expected.

This audiobook version of Howard Pyle's "Book of Pirates" is so dry and semi-monotone, it feels like I'm listening to a scholarly lecture rather than a captivating book about pirates. Thank goodness there has been mentions of Blackbeard and - surprise, surprise - mention of his wife; they don't mention her by name specifically but the few details that are provided makes me think it's Mary Anne Townsend. That is pretty impressive that she is being mentioned as its not often I find older books mention her in more detail than just the usual "Blackbeard is said to have taken a wife or in some tellings multiple wives."

Thankfully I found a free version online of the book, so I can read the written version more in-depth later to gather what details the author provides. Especially since the fictional story he provides about Blackbeard and I assume the wedding (?) to said wife? I don't know for sure since I was only making a quick glance when I saw there was more mentions of Blackbeard.

I fully admit that the mentions of Blackbeard and his wife have definitely bumped up the pending rating I had for this book. xd sweatdrop
