More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Once the boy's finger came in contact with Annie's there was a brief, but jarring, connection between them. The flesh on the boy's finger disconnected the fusion almost as quickly as he initated it. In that brief moment he released his influential biomass and had it bolster and repair Annie's body, rapidly causing it to catch up to a point where it would no longer be damaged by the use of her power.

Once it was done, the biomass dissipated and died in order to prep itself for disposal by Annie's immune system. The boy snuggled into Cassandra's shoulder after saying, "Your body and source are now level. You have obtained your maximum potential."

Annie winced slightly as she felt the changes surprised it took such a short time. Once the boy released their connection and told her he was done Annie opened her eyes and glanced down. She didn't glow like Theonis had or feel all that different besides feeling calmer. She closed her eyes again and then she could feel all the moisture in the air: she knew she could change it to any other liquid with just a thought. Raising her eyebrows, she took a calming breath, and said, "It is kind of scary to think I'm actually caught up to my powers which were already unnaturally enhanced years before."

She turned to Gidget and the others, "We should go now. Power exhaust won't be a problem for me now. As long as there is liquid or moisture my power will work."

Trinity watched very closely as the child used his power. The way the boy connected to her seem to resemble that of biomass Shane had. She seemed suspicious, of that and wondered if this would cause things to backfire at a later time. Control from the inside out.

"Why do people always say that? Do they think their minds should somehow surprise me?" Alexavier stopped." Unless...you got something in your head to protect you."

He glanced behind him." Why do you assume he is the opposite? Besides....the only reason he's giving those signals is because he has the DNA of 3. I'd just love to try and crush him bu-" Cassandra stomped the ground hard causing a brief quake." That. He's also my own flesh and blood. I do not care about him but it would be a waste. Now enough with this slow talk. We have an omelette to make"

Theonis managed not to lose balance." Agreed" He kept his eye on Cassandra and Alexavier. Cassandra wouldn't be a problem now but that guy....he could still enslave their minds while picking his nose!

Cassandra stroked the boy's hair as she swayed a little to the side and back.

At the quake, Annie on reflex turned into liquid and reformed a few feet away when the ground calmed. She reformed, arms crossed, and with a small sigh crossed the few feet and picked up her clothes and began to slip them on. Apparently her defenses were still automatic and the problem of being able to shift her body's structure and not clothes structure existed.

As she pulled on her t-shirt, Annie said calmly, "People like to think that their special: that is why they always think that their minds will surprise you. Regardless, what is our plan of approach with that egg? I assume since it is biological it will have some sort of liquid in it, but I won't be able to get through something completely sealed, regardless of how evolved my powers and body may be now."

She finished pulling on the rest of her clothes and added, "On a side note Gidget, it might be nice to have a wardrobe that adapts to my body's defense. But, like Alexavier said, we have more pressing matters to deal with: we need to plan out how to approach the problem together and take care of it as soon as possible."

Kerana

Kerana waited for help to arrive. She felt so helpless when all she could do is wait while her friend seemed to be in such terrible pain. The fox girl did let Heather know that help was on the way. Yet that didn't make things hurt any less. She couldn't help but wonder when they would get here. She felt more at ease when they did get there.

While in the waiting room she sent a text message to Deora letting her know what was going on.

The doctor came and asked the question, "Something about her bro I guess?"

The Doctor nodded and said, "Ah yes, Lawrence. No she wanted to tell you something specific. Look, the reality of the situation is that she could easily go one way or the other. He transformation is taxing her body more than it can handle. It's against policy, but you can see her for a few minutes. We're still trying to locate her brother, but he may not make it in time."

Gidget glanced at the monitor and bit her tongue to keep from prolonging the conversation. He didn't see what someone who knew how to decipher those readings saw. The boy's power was immeasurable by their current instruments.

The quake caused Gidget to gasp and stumble a bit. She made a mental note to watch how she approached the kid around Cassandra. After steadying herself she answered Annie.

"I have another bodysuit. What happened to yours?"

One if the cracking egges expelled a scrawny young man with stringy black hair. It took him a while to remember his own name. It didn't take nearly as long for him to gleam into the future of his beloved.

Alec couldn't see yet, his eyes were new. He could only manage to mumble and call out to no one in particular. "Kerana...she cries over a reptile...so much despair. The child can save the lizard. Save her!"

"I left it in the hotel room where..." Annie paused and glanced away, "Shane and I stayed before he turned completely into a monster." She balled her fists and lifted her chin and added, "The bodysuit was pretty bloody from the attack on Daedalus, anyways. Honestly, clothes weren't really on my mind at the time."

Pushing a curl behind her ear she said, "And, right now, it would take too much time to get the bodysuit. Besides, the bodysuit are useful when I have to use my power but I rather wear normal clothes more often. It isn't important at the moment, though."

He watched as Annie got dressed. The man wasn't subtle. Alexavier sensed sensed Alec as he came out. "Aha! I wondered if you were out here Alec! Holes in your chest are bad for your health. Try not to get that again okay?" He said cheerfully. Sure it felt as if all should bow down to his power but he felt obligated to help Alec since he got him out. Or at least was largely responsible.

"Ah the fox girl. Right." He didn't ask anything else. Instead he did a mental sweep of Valhalla and found who Alec meant. Implanting the knowledge into Cassandra without a further thought he looked at her." Go. The kid is also safer there." Cassandra in turn didn't need more information than that. She knew when he was lying and when he wasn't. Perhaps they still shared a tiny bond.

"We'll go for a walk okay?" She gently asked her son when she started to move out and headed towards the facility where Heather was at.

Annie noticed the gaze on her and rolled her eyes and muttered under her breath as she finished tying her shoes, "Okay, maybe the body suit might be nice, right now..." It wasn't that she wasn't comfortable being seen naked, she had done nude poses back in college when she was an art student for her peers on occasion, and when running experiments on her Daedalus really didn't care about her modesty, but some people could have the common decency not to blatantly stare.

"That's good that Alec came back," Annie said aloud. "Shane had shown some guilt about killing him in light of his friend, the girl he liked... I suppose if we monitor the situation and take care of any problems that arise things will turn out for the best for the most people involved."

Larry shook his head. "Feet. First. Then. Arms."

Christian was following directions and slowly getting the hang of kicking and swimming using his feet when he managed to get to the ledge of the pool and paused for a moment and frowned. Something seemed amiss, he could have sworn he had sensed some emotional stress somewhere in some other corridor or room of Valhalla-panic over someone's health maybe? He frowned and shook his head as he lost it. Sensing things weren't his specialty and sometimes he thought he would imagine emotions of others that weren't there. Imagining things, that must be it, Christian thought dismissing the idea.

Gidget was ecstatic at Alec's return, but her stronger emotion of disgust wad overriding any joy she had. She sneared at Alex and grumbled, "Psht, creep."

She turned her attention to Annie and layed out her.plan.

"I have to get in a suit. I'm next to useless in a fight without it. You guys don't have that problem, so I will have to meet you down there. Annie, you can either come with me or I can bring you a bodysuit. I suggest coming with me first." Gidget gave Annie a knowing look, hinting at the desire for some one on one time. She knew her hint was safe, since any attempt at probing her mind would be met with unspeakable discomfort.

The boy had been so focussed on his own comfort that he didn't know anything else was happening until Cassandra started to move. He picked his head up and asked, "Where we going, Mama?"

Larry tilted his head curiously. Something was bothering his friend. It was that moment that Larry felt a heavy feeling in his stomach. His diminished mind wrote it off as gas. He waded over to Christian and placed a reassuring, allbeit giant, hand on the boy's back.

"Trouble?"

Annie nodded stretching some, "I'll come with you so I can change more so in private. It is probably awkward for everyone if I am naked more than absolutely necessary." She glanced at Alex and smiled innocently, "Right?" Annie knew better then to assume as she implied that his staring was not from an awkward situation, but she was too polite to call him out on it. Besides, she felt that it was partially her fault for automatically going into liquid form when the quake caused by Cassandra had occurred. And, Annie, if she had made the effort, could probably have reformed in her clothing if she had taken an extra few seconds to solidify.
