Larry tilted his head curiously. Something was bothering his friend. It was that moment that Larry felt a heavy feeling in his stomach. His diminished mind wrote it off as gas. He waded over to Christian and placed a reassuring, allbeit giant, hand on the boy's back.

"Trouble?"

Christian considered lying briefly, but decided even if his friend was simple-minded and a lie might be gentler, lying wasn't the right thing to do. "I thought I sensed some people concerned or panicked but I can't sense it anymore... it was elsewhere in Valhalla. I'm not that great at sensing emotions at a great distance."

Alexavier shrugged at Agatha's disgust. He didn't care. If Agatha really did do something to protect her mind it would be interesting to break into it. Or to bypass it. But not for now. It would have to wait. He couldn't resist Annie's comment however." Wasn't awkward at all."


"Fixing something." Cassandra replied." He wanted you to help someone and away from any danger. He does care even if he doesn't show it." She was walking pretty fast.

"Say...do you have a name or should I name you? My son should have a name." She kissed his forehead.

Annie raised a brow and explained calmly to Alexavier, still smiling, "To think I was trying to be polite and allow you to save face about the incident. Of course, apparently you don't care: that's great. Really great."

Shaking her head she said, "Anyways, Gidget, I think it is time for us to get ready. You with your armor and me with the bodysuit, because no matter how much Alexavier may appreciate me fighting in the buff, I would rather not." With a smile she said pointedly at Alexavier, her voice beginning to become blatantly sarcastic, "I know so disappointing, but I would hate to be a distraction to you if you decide to join us."

Heather was hooked up to several monitors and IV drip bags. Her breathing was raspy and strained, as though the very action was causing her pain. She rolled her head over and forced a smile. Her small teeth had given way to more intimidating sharp teeth.

Her voice cracked as she said, "I've been better." Her hand slid over to Kerana's. It seemed to have completed whatever metamorphosis Heather was undergoing. She was careful not to hurt Kerana with the newly formed claws. "Sorry about scaring you. I was hoping to go through this without any of you seeing it. It looks like I screwed up pretty good this time."

As soon as the quake started she shifted her shadow into a tar-like substance to keep her steady. She did the same to Theonis just in case, so he wouldn't fall. She saw Annie shift to liquid and turned away out of respect not that she minded nudity. As she went on to talk about how she didn't want to distract or make everyone feel uncomfortable. She remember one time where there wasn't much choice in the matter in order to escape. Then Gidget asked about her bodysuit she knew Shane met a lot to her and lowered her eyes when she mention when she last had the bodysuit. Then looked at Theonis, and thought of how relieved she was that he wasn't killed.

Then through all the cracking of the pods and confusion she heard something odd. She thought she heard Kerana's name being mentioned. Then Alex seemed to confirmed it. It was Alec Shane's first victim when a piece of him first escaped. Something told her that wasn't right...then she remembered, it was North who was the first victim, that it would have been her if Gidget didn't warn her. If Alec is here then certainly so would North, she would be glad to let his mother know that he is alive. She did wonder if any of the hatchlings have something go wrong... She also wondered if there were any Daedalous troops here now. Did he just kill them with spikes or did he absorb the, too? She watched as Casandra and her child let to tend to whatever Alex told them to go.

It looked like a plan started forming. "I'll go get the equipment we used against Legion." She went to where the head bands were and got enough for the team. She pass them out to everyone except Alex. Frankly she figured he didn't need one.

The boy's eyes wandered as he thought about it. Although he had an expanded vocabulary with understanding of the words, there were certain concepts he didn't understand. The importance of a name was one of them.

"I don't know. You can name me if you want to."

"Yes, that might be good," Christian said. "However, I could be wrong. Sensing emotions is not my primary power and I am not that great at it, but better safe than sorry."

"Don't flatter yourself too much Carina." Alexavier simply replied.

Cassandra shook her head a little. " I don't know one. I am not a thinker like Alexavier. Maybe you will find a name you like one day." Soon they reached Heather and Kerana.

"Yes, that might be good," Christian said. "However, I could be wrong. Sensing emotions is not my primary power and I am not that great at it, but better safe than sorry."

Larry helped his friend out of the pool. It wasn't long before they were both dressed and ready to investigate. Larry hoped it was nothing, but part of him hoped there was something he could help with. For once he could be a great big hero.

With a hopeful smile he looked down at Christian. "Lead." larry suggested.

The boy lifted himself up and looked at the two animal girls. While the one that looked like a fox had some growing to do with her power, the reptilian one was in danger.

"Your source is ascending rapidly. Too fast for your body to handle. You will die before you can complete the ascension."

Heather's heart monitor began to beep rapidly. "What?! But..." The tears began to flow, and the truth came out with them. "I just wanted to get it over with. I didn't think eating that stuff would kill me. I don't...I don't want to die!"

Christian was curious. This sounded like some sort of confession. Best for the.girl to get it out before he fix her.

"When and where?" She asked simply. Short but effective.
