More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Ako had quietly been following Gidget, not having much to say, though he felt something strange was going on. thoughtful, he hadn't said a word as Gidget seemed to take control of the situation, still more of a leader than he thought he could be. The only noise he made was a squeak of a boot landing short as Gidget's comment about riding him took him off guard. He continued his stride with little pause, hoping in the back of his mind that no one had noticed, though he knew it really didn't matter.

Deora had been wondering what to do with the rest of her day after school when she got Kerana's text. She could hear a small plastic squeak as her grip tightened on the device that had just told her a friend was in danger. With a quick glance around her to remember which way the medical wing was, she hurried off in search of her friends.

As Larry called out about his sister being hurt, Christian's eyes widened and he suddenly asked himself: How could I have been so stupid?! "Larry, wait," Christian said as he entered, following, just in time to hear Kerana plead for help for Heather. There was someone at Valhalla who was able to catch a meta's body up with the changes from ingesting concentrated meteor radiation? That was news to Christian.

Christian glanced around the room to see the boy in Cassandra's arms and asked, "Is it that boy who can do all that? If he can help why hasn't he? Isn't it the duty of every resident of Valhalla to help out where they can?"

Gidgett nodded. These two were definitely the pair that Acula had created.

Gidget suddenly groaned in frustration and slapped her palm against her forehead. "Ah crap, how could I have been so brainless. I was so busy riding Ako that I forgot about the Data Acula left for me. It may have something we can use."

"Gidget considering my past relationship with your brother, I consider you a little sister," Annie said with a strained smile, "the last thing I really want to hear about is my little sister's sex life, but anyways... the data Dr. Acula gave you? I thought you had given it to Miss Sun to look over to create propaganda pieces that were pro-meta or whatever... you didn't? I suppose you have been distracted. Why do you think that data will give us a solution on how to approach Alexavier and Cassandra? Because, honestly, I wouldn't trust Daedalus files on them. Especially anymore. They changed after hatching, I can sense that. They're individuals now. I think that is good."

She frowned, "Then again the data might help us figure out what to do about that egg no-one seems to like."

Alexavier raised his hands in astonishment. " What did I ever do to you?" He said as they left.

Cassandra eyed the two while holding her son. The big guy may be a problem but for now he was only concerned with sister. She kept an eye on him regardless. Cassandra broke contact when Christian spoke to her. She remembered the little boy. A smart little boy. She couldn't help but smile warmly at him as she talked.

"Hello Christian. My son and I aren't residents. But.." She nudge the boy a little." He was going to help her before 'they' trampled him" She gave a quick glare the doctors." Weren't you?"

She walked towards the transforming Heather. This time she didn't hit them she just walked through. Pushing down Heather with one hand she looked at her." Hold still or you might hurt him. And I'd have to hurt you" Her voice was cold but turned warm the moment she spoke to her child. " You ready sweetie?"

The child raised a brow-an expression identical to his mother's-at Cassandra's comment about the child being a son. Since when did she have a son? He decided to ignore that fact for the moment. "Maybe I should clarify, you two are a resident in the sense that you are currently imposing a stay at Valhalla," replied Christian quietly with a slight head nod. He smiled slightly before his small, forced smile turned into a frown again. First Larry's sister was in danger, then there was the matter of the child who could supposedly help the evolution of meteor radiation concentration, and the fact that the child was now what Cassandra considered to be her child. It was one of the few times he almost wished he was a normal kid and didn't try reading into everything.

Heather barely made out Cassandra's warning. She struggled to keep her thrashing under control as the flesh on ber face began to split. Larry stood aside obediently, praying that the boy in the strong lady's arms could help his sister. He put his hands together in front of him and fidgeted nervously.

The boy sniffled and nodded as he wiped the last few tears from his eyes. He slid out of his mother's arms and stood next to the bed. For a brief moment he looked directly into the reptilian eyes of the ailing girl. Even though they were the eyes of an animal, he could see the pain and humanity in them. They plead for release.

The boy reached forward and took Heather's hand into his small ones. Like with Theonis, the flesh of his hands slid out and became one with Heather's. He almost released the connection when he felt just a fraction of her pain. He whimpered and cried, nothing like the stoic healer he was earlier. He focused on Heather's body, and found that her source was out of control.

He squeezed his eyelids shut as hard as he could and took control of her body and source. His hands glowed brightly, and the glow made it's way up Heather's arms and across her body. The glow soon became a blinding light. The doctos and Larry raised their hands to their eyes.

Heather's cries were silenced, and her body relaxed. The changes continued within the blanket of light. A few seconds in and the boundaries of the.light became larger. The remains of Heather's green skin fell to the ground in clumps.

After what seemed like an eternity her body went limp. The light faded and the boy removed his hands from Heather's. Her body was now completely covered in the crimson scales, with a yellowish tone of underscales. Her features were indeed draconian, but she was still built like a biped. The scales weren't jagged like they were in the stories. They were softer, feminine. Her hair had become stark white from the stress of the transformation. The most glaring change was the existence of two large, leathery wings protruding from her back. They hung limply off the side of the bed. Heather's vitals were now within normal limits, and Heather herself was fast asleep.

Deora ran through the halls, trying to track down her friends. She contemplated sending a Kerana a message to ask where they were, but a commotion around a corner caught her attention. He shoes squeaked as she turned the corner, still at a run, and again as she almost skidded to a stop at the door to Heather's room. She hopped a bit to see over the crowd, and opened her mouth to call for Kerana when she caught a glimpse of something large and red on the bed. He jaw hung open as she landed, disbelieving.

Was that a...? There was no way.

She jumped again, trying to make sure of what she was seeing. It wasn't possible, but there was a dragon, a freaking DRAGON in the room, with Kerana, Larry and a few others around it's bed. Determined now, she gently pushed her way through the crowd, stepping up behind Kerana. She placed a hand on the fox girl's shoulder, not wanting to make any undue noise that make wake the creature before them. "Is that...?" She wanted to ask if it was Heather, but she couldn't remember the girl's name at the sight the the thing.

Gidget hunched her shoulders up and blsuhed in embarrassment. The said to both Annie and Ako, "Oh my God, I'm so sorry. I'm still getting used to stopping my mouth before it spills whatever I'm thinking about."

The door to her lab opened automatically as she approached. Annie was right, Daisy had indeed taken the data. She had forgotten that too. She would have to call the reporter later. For now she had other concerns.

She made her way to a locker and pulled open the door. She reached in and grabbed the last body suit. The tossed it over to Annie. "Here ya go. Try not to lose this one. These things take days to make."

Annie glanced back to see Ako trailing and warned the two as she took the cat suit, "Turn around unless you want another show." She turned into her liquid form and reappeared holding the body suit completely naked. Slipping on the body suit she she zipped it up and stretched. "It's weird to be able to go into my liquid form so easily, that kid really did fix my power exhaustion... I bet I could take at least three of Daedalus facilities down myself before they figured out how to stop me. And if they did stop me that soon it probably would because they found a way to blackmail me."

She glanced at Gidget, "Anyways, was there anything else you wanted to discuss with me beyond Alexavier and Cassandra before we went?"

Larry slowly approached his sleeping sister and took her comparatively small hand into his enormous one. The clamps gave way and he was able to lift her arm gently. He could sed her chest rising and falling. She was breathing, and this pleased Larry immensely.

The boy sighed heavily. He looked over at Kerana and said flatly, "I do not have a name."

Something seemed to distract him and he looked up at the large person looking over the dragon girl. "He is also broken. Why are there so many people here out of sync with their source?"

He walked up to Larry and tapped him on the arm in a fashion similar to what he did with Annie.

Larry gasped with shock at the sensation. It felt like his head suddenly got more space. Without even thinking about he looked down at the little boy and asked, "What did you just do?

The doctors could only stand around and gape at the seemingly impossible things the boy was doing. They were familiar with Larry's case. He shouldn't have been able to make a sentence.

The boy looked back up at Larry and said, "You had an anomaly. Your body and source reached their full potential at once. The problem was that your skull got too thick at it was squishing your brain. I fixed that, but now I'm tired."

He stepped over to his mother and raised his hands up to her, signifying that he wanted to be picked up.

"You really are a good boy" Cassandra smiled warmly at the boy and picked him up. She ruffled his hair a little while giving Kerana a slow nod. " I like Damian."
