Yuri listened to her sigh, and then paid attention to the way she explained their deaths just as he had before listened to the way she answered his first question. Now he felt as if he should tell her how his family died, but even though that was what he felt ethically right to do he did not wish to tell her just yet. He would tell her every last detail if she asked him, but now he had her thinking about her own parents death and probably her own welfare. He rarely ever was obligated to speak of their deaths and though he thought about it very often still he was unsure of his own reaction to the verbalization of the story...often even with stories of things that happen very recently people tend to remember more of what happened whenever they tell someone else...and though that would give information to him of how to find Shadow (most probably) he still would not enjoy the thought very much. All of what happened in that small amount of time has haunted him for a long time...as do most parental deaths. Her mother and father died a more graceful death than murder, even in illness there is more grace then that. The Personification of death would even be able to see that...A graceful death is one thing, but to die gracefully must be earned and the road to that is another. Yuri is on the opposite path, so is Suka. As for Kana though...from what Yuri had seen he would assume that she would die gracefully or else be avenged in some way that would restore beauty to her even in her death...As long as she is unknowing of this then she will follow the same path no matter what...but as he has seen recently, that is rarely the case for such fragile people.

Kana continued twirling the blade of grass about, expression blank as she stared at it through unfocused eyes. Her other hand had come up to clutch at her silver locket that hung around her neck, squeezing it tightly as if finding it comforting. Her ears were drooping almost flat against her head, and her tail was curled around her waist. She blinked a couple times after a few minutes had passed and then looked back at Yuri. She was extremely hesitant to ask and just stared silently at him for a couple seconds more bowing her head again. She was waiting for him to say something, but when he never did, she decided to risk speaking herself and hope she didn't touch upon something he didn't want to reveal. She took a deep breath, trying to calm herself before she could start crying again, as she felt the tears forming in her eyes, and raised her head to face him once more. "Yours... Your parents are still ok, right?" she asked, voice extremely hopeful, and her eyes as well. They were slightly wide, her vision slightly a bit with tears she was refusing to let fall.

"Ah, nice to meet you Snow, I hope your years here are enjoyable. You are elven, no?" Zypher calmly said, leaning back against the trunk as Surion sat next to Snow. He looked over at them and then looked up again. "What a lovely couple..." Zypher said under his breath, low enough so no one could here him.

Surion eagerly stared at his brother expecting him to say something. But Surion was dissapointed when he simply looked at them, and back away. "Pardon... Brother, don't you want to show me a little... Of what you can do now? Three years training, you MUST have honed your skills." Surion said, looking to his big brother expectedly.

He looked in her eyes and saw the hopeful look she had on at the moment, heard her hopeful otne...and slowly shook his head. "Both of my parents are dead..." he said this and then took a short but deep breath before exhaling and then continuing. "My father died while at war...he had gone out to war against an army of demon soldiers working for the former ruler of the Underworld: Realm of the Afterlife. They lost, but he died because he began trying to make it home once more before his death, ended up having to fight the leader of his own army...he died after killing his own leader and then being ambushed by the rest of the army. My father could have led them to victory-or at least that's what I've heard." With less than what you could call a pause, Yuri stopped for a moment and the look in his eyes began to change from an apathetic glow to the look of one lost in memories of the past. "As for my mother...she died with my Aunt. I had been anticipating an intruder on my home and just as I figured out when I needed to counter him it was too late...the time had passed because he was at the front door with all that he needed. He walked in and my mother immediately told me to make sure Kerei, my only friend at the time, was safe...By the time I was back Shadow had stabbed my mother through the stomach and in devastation I..." he blinked a couple times, keeping tears that he had not known for years from leaking out. He made three mistakes that were all fatal...he tried to go on but had to wait a few moments before he could gather himself. He tried again, this time making out "...I-I went..." but he trailed off and took a really deep breath. He'd forgotten exactly why his aunt had died...why and how...Still...it's still so hard...why? Why can't finish? It's been fourteen years... he kept that look in his silver eyes as water leaked into them and he tried to blink it away but could not...at least it was not falling...therefore there was no saying he cried right?

Kana's hope died as soon as he shook his head. She leaned back slightly, since she'd leaned a bit towards him in anticipation. Her eyes seemed suddenly dull as she looked back at the grass. Her ears drooped again, actually flattened against either side of her head, as she listened silently to what he was saying. The tears in her own eyes seemed to increase, but she didn't blink, and simply stared straight forward at the grass. Her hands were clutching at it, taking in full fistfulls, as her tail curled a bit more tightly around her waist. Why was it that everyone here was an orphan? Well, actually that wasn't true... Koichi hadn't been, and she didn't think Kazan was either. She had no idea about Kaze though... She blinked a couple times, a few tears slipping down her cheeks, but she kept the rest back for now. Her ears twitched slightly as she heard him trail off, stutter, and then trail off again, and she looked up at him slowly. She blinked a couple times more and then shut her eyes tightly, hands covering her face. "I-I'm sorry," she whispered. "You don't have to continue. I'm sorry..." She felt horrible now. It seemed that was a touchy subject for him. At first she'd thought it would be fine, but that didn't seem to be the case. "I'm sorry..."

Snow nodded, smiling lightly at Zypher's question. "I am..." She said softly. Snow wanted to read his past... badly but she didnt know why. She tried but couldent get passed the barriers of his mind. Typical... Another assassin I suppose.... She thought to herself, gazing at Zyther in an interesting sort of way. She looked over at Surion at his question and then looked back over at Zypher. "Surion... I'm sure he's got to be quite tired... wherever he came from it must have been a long journey..." She said nodding, glancing only for a few moments at Surion. Zypher intereested her deeply... She knew that his mind must be full to the rim of bloddy battles and interesting tales... But she didn't want to say anything of course.

Kiko heard some speaking from a close tree. He heard Snow's voice, Surion's voice... and... one other that he didn't know. He stood, walking towards the tree.

Yuri shook his head, though it was hard for him, he had told himselfalready that he was going to tell her the entire story if she asked...and now he was determined to finish it for his own sake aswell. it took him as long a her third apology to recollect himself completely and then he continued for the third time, this time making it into the sotory once more. "...I-I went over to my mother, she still had a little bit left in her...enough to speak. She told me to go find Kerei and get out of the house with her. But when I refused she did not protest, she siad to protect Lily but I had not heard her as I tried to cry but could not...she told me she was sorry that she could not have been a better mother. Her last word was 'I'l' but she was trying to say 'I love you'. I remember that clearly, and after that I ran into my aunt's room because that was where Lily was and that was where Shadow was now too...he killed my mother and I walked in now on my aunt who had been stabbed in the lung and even was set to fire for a moment. She was over that though when she saw the blood on my hands and rushing into the other room at half tiptoing speed, she was her sister dead on the floor......saw her there and died with that as the last image in her eyes..." he had almost finished, but now that he'd already brought up the strenghth to come that far, in the pause he took to take a breath he had to recollect himself again, and the water felt much more heavy in his eyes as he did so...And he hoped he'd be able to finish for his own sake.

Kana drew a sharp breath as she heard him continuing but didn't speak. She simply kept her hands covering her face, since she was crying again and didn't want anyone to see. She bowed her head low to the ground, biting down hard on her bottom lip. Her eyes were shut firmly beneath her hands and her ears flattened down against her head. Her shoulders were shaking as she tried to hold in the occassional sob, and suceeded for the most part, though one did escape as he went into detail about his mother and what she'd said. Her mom had been unable to speak at the end, and had simply smiled before she faded away. Kana bit her lip a little harder, nearly piercing the skin with her fangs, but not quite. She wanted to shout at Yuri to stop talking, but couldn't bring herself to. Instead she just sat there, now rocking very slightly back and forth, as she listened to his story. As much as she wanted to block it out, she couldn't bring herself too. She just kept picturing her own mom's death over and over in her head. She didn't remember her daddy's, as she'd been to young, but her mom's had happened just about a year ago. I need to go visit, I have to go visit, she thought shakily to herself, hands still clamped over her face. Her locket hung around her neck, a silver heart on a silver chain, resting at the base of her neck. For now she ignored it, hands over her face in a vain attempt to hide that she was crying.

Yuri took cut breathes, they wavered very slightly as he ifinished the rest of the story....there was not much left. "That was when I saw what I did wrong...The shock of both of the deaths had me unable to move...until I heard Kerei scream and that 's what I don't remember, what came next. The next thing I remember is that Shadow had two swords stabbed through him...one in the lung and the other in the stomach...but still he lived as I remember him leaving very slowly grbbbing for his heart but not wavering in his steps..." he breathed a few moere moments and then finished, "...I had somehoe saved Kerei who was cornered in the room I hid her in...but even that did not make up for the other mistakes. It was my fault my mother died...my fault she's not here with me right now...I can let you see your mother...I cannot find m own mother, but I can let you see yours." He took another breath and stopped there, there was no real flow t owhat he had just said, at least not the transition between his offer nad his story. Maybe he thought that the story would have made her sad and wanted to run the possibility of cheering her up with his offer. Though he did ntot give very many details and was not sure if she would understand his offer right away.

User ImageMorrigan and Xan left the spirit arena and headed for the Northen Courtyard. Xan Was absolutly strucken on what happened that moment. When they reached the courtyard he collapsed Into the grass, on all fours. "Can this get any worse?" He ripped the grass out the floor and his fists took the form of a new element, Wood/plantlife...Then they went back to their human shape. He stayed motionless looking at the sky, the cold grass between his fingers, waking him out of dillusion. He looked at Morrigan. "....Thank you." He couldn't think right anymore.. he just wanted to be happy again. The torn out grss blew away over his shoulder into the breeze as he sat staring at Morrigan.

Kana kept her hands firmly over her face, eyes clamped shut and ears drooping more than she thought possible. She was amazed to hear him start speaking yet again, but she herself didn't move at all. She just sat there, legs crossed in front of her, as she kept her head bowed to the ground. She was still hoping he hadn't noticed she was crying, though she knew how extremely obvious it was already. She listened silently to his story, shoulders still shaking with supressed sobs, as she bit down hard on her lip. It was a small bit of relief to her that at least Kerei had been saved. Nevermind that she had no idea who that was. She was still glad. And, strangely enough, a small part of her was glad Shadow had survived as well. Despite who it was, a death only weighed upon her, and she hated hearing about anyone dying, and that for some reason included those who did the killing. A small part of her believed that everyone was capible of changing if given the chance, but if killed they'd never be able to make up for all they'd done previously. She froze suddenly though, breaking free of her thoughts as she pulled her hands away. She stared at Yuri for a few seconds in complete silence, eyes wide as a few last tears leaked from them. Then she leaned forward and towards him, her ears just slightly beginning to perk again. "Wh-wha-what...?" she stammered in shock. Was that even possible? He could do such a thing?

Though most of her expression just then had been shock, he noticed above all hat her ears had perked-and even though he could see the tears still falling from her eyes he did not pay attention to them. He waited just a moment, and once he was sure that he would be satisfied with doing so, he revealed something with an outstretched hand. His Scythe appeared in id,blade just incheds from her and he set it down beside him. "I can bring you to you mother...on the day she died, the two days before, and the two days after..." he said this and then wondered why he was unable to visit his own mother...he could not figure out why and instead of trying he simply dismissed the idea and continued a little further with his explanation. "You need to trust me though...maybe we will do this once a year if you see fit? Do you want to see her?" he finished with this and then waited for whatever emotions might erupt fromsomething like that. She might not immediately grasp the fact of who he was right away, but once it did come she might become angry or sad instead of happy about being able to see her. Usually they were afraid of it aswell...Sometimes they even hated him for offering at all, but being the kind of person that he was he could not simply sit there and do nothing about their depression once they began to think about the deaths of their loved ones. What kind of person would tha tmake him?

User ImageXan looked at her and then down to the grass. The Grass leaves had waves in them , the type that enntrances you while you walk through a field of long corn. H closed his eyes and felt her touch on his arm. Xan Stratt took a long breath and began to slowly speak.

"At the age of ony 16 I was enrolled with the greatest scientific icons of our time. Me an father were infamous among science enthusiasts. By the end of my first year I was already gene splitting and creating Fictional species. Then entered Human metemorphesis." He took a short break, then continued. "I was given a subject before my 17th birthday. She was young, only about a couple of years younger. Her Name was...Verretta Ellis. She was a friend of mine at a old school. She volenteered to be a subject in experimentation. So we did."
"We succeeded in maing a powerful and agile warrior. She was part Human, Part cat and even somewhere, bat. She was also unstable for a short period of time. In that time she killed about 9 of my collegues. she just, got angry and they... exploded! She got away, but readings indaicated she will no longer have those bursts but...instead, her brain was affected somwhere, It wiped everything clean... Now I think, five years lter...Raven is Verretta."
