More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Gidget thought for just a moment before piecing her words together. She bit her bottom lip anxiously. "That boy. I can't get past it. He looks just like Shane did when he was five. And then he corrects the abnormalities in you and Theonis. His bio readings are insane, he was able to absorb a nearly complete vocabulary...it's all so much.

The boy yawned, "Okay, I'm Damian." He then lay his head on Cassandra's shoulder and wrapped his arms around her neck. He softly closed his eyes and tried to go to sleep.

Larry couldn't believe what the boy had done. He couldn't believe that he could comprehend disbelief. For the first time in over five years...

"I can think. I can think without pain." he proclaimed with tears in his eyes.

Cassandra continued to hold him, cradling him to sleep whilst singing a soft lullaby. She had never sung before but she had a surprisingly good singing voice. Damian's job was done here so she simply left. As long as she kept him near her he would be safe from what was about to come. Cassandra wandered through Valhalla, not walking through the walls miraculously.

"He's not Shane, though," Annie snapped sharply. "He can't be." She frowned, realizing how much on edge she was by the boy's presence and said in a softer tone, "He doesn't have the same aura that Shane did, but the boy doesn't have an evil aura either. I'm just thankful that the child corrected the abnormality in me. Of course, that means I'm going to have to monitor my moral compass more and I will be even more of a gem for Daedalus if they ever capture me..."

She shook her head. "It could be just a coincidence." In a low voice she whispered, "It has to be a coincidence..."

Christian laid a hand on Larry's arm and smiled, "That's great." He turned his gaze to watch Cassandra and the boy-Damian- leave his brow furrowing slightly before he turned his attention back to Larry. "That is really great."

Gidget jumped slightly at Annie's sudden and sharp rebuttal. She wanted to agree with her friend, she really did, but part of her wasn't so sure.

She looked over to Ako and asked, "Ako, you've done a lot of traveling. Have you ever seen anything like the boy?"

She didn't really think he had, but at this point she was scraping for some sort of foundation with the kid.

Larry wiped the tears from his eyes and looked down at Christian. He caught some of the look his small friend gave the other boy. "Is something wrong? Does he have a bad aura?" he asked with great concern.

Ako shook his head, hands back in the pockets of his jacket. "I rarely saw metas outside the city." He said simply. There had been a few people with powers running around, some using their powers to lead gangs, as cliche as that was, but most had mundane powers that let them blend in with the general populace wherever they settled. However, Ako had never stayed in one place long enough to do any real investigation.

Gidget allowed Annie to leave first. She then leaned in toward Trinity and said, loud enough for Alex to hear, "If he tries anything dump his a** in the shadow zone"

Trinity nodded coldly confirming she understood her order. She looked to the rest of the group.

Nova Blancke

Alexavier raised his hands in astonishment. " What did I ever do to you?" He said as they left.

"You are being rude. You may have a unique skill set but that doesn't give you the right to have no manners nor does it mean you can go traipsing about like you own the place when she is the one who owns it." Now down to business. "Come with me..." she started leading the rest of the group.

Larry wiped the tears from his eyes and looked down at Christian. He caught some of the look his small friend gave the other boy. "Is something wrong? Does he have a bad aura?" he asked with great concern.

"I can't sense auras. I didn't inherit that ability like my mother," Christian said with a frown. "I can only sense emotions and emotional connections, but the boy, Damian, looked familiar, which doesn't make sense because I haven't seen all that many people in my life time. I'm probably just imagining things."

He forced a smile, "Besides, he has been helping a lot of people with their powers. If he meets Mom he could help her out, too."

"Christian Berchant," He said before realizing that he wasn't sure if he was supposed to still be using his father's last name. It was his legal last name but his mother didn't like to be reminded of his father... Forcing a smile, appreciating Kerena's enthusiasm he said, "Maybe he has. That would be nice if he did."

Alexavier simply chuckled in response. Oh no...my power gives me all the right to do just that. I can make you bow down to me with a mere thought.

"Very well. I'll let you lead"


Theonis followed as well but kept an eye on Alexavier. He didn't feel at ease with someone like him around. Someone who'd glance inside your mind on a whim.

Gidget had figured as much. "Finding out what he is can wait. Right now we have an egg to crack."

Gidget walked back to the wall of suits and picked the only one she had taken the time to adapt to her human frame. A swipe of her hand along a control panel brought out several robotic arms that disassembled the suit and put it back together on her. The helmet removed a plug placed in her neural port and inserted it's own control cable. The face plate clamped down, completing the assembly.

Gidget stretched and flexed in the suit to get a feel for it. The faceplate split and slid away to reveal her face. With heavy steps she approached a work bench and began to attach addons to the armor.
