Courtyard (South)

Rin stared at him a moment longer, and then sighed as she finally got to her feet. She brushed off the back of her dress and then flattened any wrinkles from the front. "I suppose so," she mumbled quietly, glancing once more at the fountain and then to him again. She was still frowning, but she couldn't deny that she was curious about the temple he was speaking of. She had no idea what it'd be like and maybe with someone else along she wouldn't... No! No. I do not need his help, she scolded, irritated at herself for even starting to think about that. She wouldn't get lost. She could find her own way around. She was suddenly very tempted to decline the offer of transportation, but thought better of it a moment after. She looked at him somewhat expectantly, waiting for him to do something.

Rin slid off the fountain ledge and mumbled her reply. Razzer held back a smile and approached the girl. "This might be a bit disorienting, but it won't hurt." he said to her, placing his tentacle on her left shoulder. He realized that he sounded like one of those doctors that said it wouldn't hurt right before sticking you with an unpleasantly painful needle, but he shrugged it off.

"Ready?" he asked rhetorically, and mumbled a few well-chosen words in a mystic language. With a larger-than-normal puff Razzer and Rin vanished.

MOrrigan walked out from the hospital and to the courtyard, she sat down by the fontian sitin gon its edge, "Princess." a voice muttered behind her, she looked around and saw nobody, "Princess down here." Morrigan looked down at the fontains water, a face was looking at her from the water, "Kamesha?" she asked, the girl smiled, her dark black curls moving in the reflection, her hair was black with blue in it, her eyes were a dark blue almost nevy, and she was dark skinned, "you mother worries." she says smiling, "SOmething about death corps, she would talk to you personally put Orianna is missing and the whole family are looking for her." Morrigan noded, "im fine Kamesha, have the checked the forest, It is after all her storngest element." Kamesha nodded, "goodbye princess." she bowed her head and the water rippled and her reflection was gone. MOrrigan turned round, she was upset, she doubt she could ever be friends wit Verretta and Xan again, it was your duty, love has to be shown through many means you know that., said a voice in her head, morrigan sighed ad thought abut how many more friends she would lose in the course of this semester.

Since her departure yesterday..or was it the day before, she had been running laps through the South and North courtyard, never stopping. She was soaked through the bone but she hardly cared at all for she found her stamina was quite high when she didn't concentrate completely upon what she was doing.
Although her body had been running, her mind had been elsewhere, thinking about certain events and people, mostly happy memories that put this smile on her face that she couldn't wipe off. After doing one last lap, she stopped in the South Courtyard and stretched her arms and legs for fifteen minutes.
Getting up on her hands, her body went in as close to a straight line as she could possibly get it in the air over her head. Her arms began to bend until her nose almost touched the ground and straigtened. She was doing a funky form of push-ups. She repeated this thirty times, then, when she started going down, her legs began to straighten so they were perpendicular to her body. This she only did fifteen times before she stood, breathing in through her nose and out through her mouth in a slow rhythm while she went under the protection of a tree. From there, she saw someone working hard and she grinned as she headed off that way.

Suixing rode on a cloud to the courtyard, looking around frantically for Yashi. Suixing walked up to him. "Follow, Suixing," Yashi said. Suixing did as told. Yashi led her to a bench, then began saying, "Last night, when I went to your dorm, I saw the masked man come again." Suixing felt a shiver run up her spine. "He tried to break in, but luckily you had your window locked. I think he's been trying to get in every day." Yashi finished. Suixing gasped.

As Suixing sat there shivering in fear, Ringa, who seemed to be nearby, told Suixing about a slumber party at her dorm. Suixing reluctantly smiled, and agreed to go. Yashi decided to go too. After Ringa left, Yashi turned to Suixing and said, "This'll give you a chance to leave your room for a night and relax." Suixing smiled, and found this a good Idea. Yashi and Suixing decided to go to the Training hall to spar a bit.

Having position himself in the shade of one of the nearby trees, Shawn quietly reads a book for one of his classes. The small boy is practically invisible, or at least hardly noticeable, and it seems to raise the ire of a small animal close by.

"You've been avoiding people since you got here," it 'spoke' at Shawn. One could almost tell the look it was giving him was not a happy one.

"I've just have a lot of work to do, Cinder. You know I've never been to an actual school before, so I need to study extra hard," Shawn muttered, making a note in a nearby notepad.

Cinder gave an indifferent flick of his tail before sitting on the notepad. "Hmph, that's just an excuse. You could at least make a little effort."

Shawn ignored the red panda and made another note, right through Cinder, before responding, "Look, I'm sure if someone wanted to talk to me, they'll approach me. Right now I just want to make sure I'm ready for the test."

"That's still a week away," Cinder grumbled mostly to himself.  

[Misao]

"Detecting abnormally high levels of etheric resonance coming from a nearby tree..." Lorelai muttered to herself, typing away at her laptop computer. Reaching up to adjust her goggles, she peered off into the distance, trying to magnify her vision enough to see what or who the source of the energy readings was.

"Bingo," she said with a grin as she spotted Shawn sitting under the tree taking notes. Jumping out from behind the bushes, she dashed over to where Shawn was sitting. With her strange inventor's goggles still strapped to her face and all the scientific equipment she was carrying, she must have looked like an alien or a government agent or something.

"Hi there!" Lorelai said cheerfully, extending a hand to shake. "You're quite an interesting specimen there, kid," she said, adjusting her goggles a few times and glancing at Shawn up and down. "So who's your friend?" she asked, jerking a thumb toward Cinder.  

[Dori-mingu]

The sudden interruption of his quite studying completely catches Shawn off guard. A strange girl with even stranger goggles came up to him and offered her hand to shake, and dumbfounded, Shawn takes it to give a slight shake. Resisting the urge to scream and run, as he has no idea what is going on, Shawn stares at her a moment before he realizes what she said, and that she asked him a question.

"You, uh, mean Cinder, right? Not many can see him. I think he's actually a red panda then a specimen." He glances at Cinder, as if looking for help, but the creature simply looks away, seeming interesting in a leaf blowing in the wind.  

[Misao]

"Red panda..." Lorelai repeated, nodding and jotting down a few notes. "You don't see too many of those, you know," she said, smiling. "Especially ones composed of mental etheric resonance. I have to say, I've never seen anything quite like it before. How do you do it?" she asked, curiously poking at Cinder. "Do you have to concentrate in order to keep its physical body composed, or does it simply feed on your mental frequency in a symbiotic relationship? Does it have any unique abilities of its own? Free will?" Looking quite interested in Cinder, Lorelai slowly paced a circle around it, nodding every so often as she continued writing down notes.  

[Dori-mingu]

Shawn starts to get a little nervous with all the questions, but he's still sitting down and isn't sure he could get away easily anyway. He glances around, seeing if maybe he can find an easy out of this situation.

"I, er, don't really know how, actually. He's just there. But not really. At least, far as I can tell. More like an image that follows me around. He's pretty free willed though, as he usually refuses to answer any questions I ask about him."  

[Misao]

"Interesting... so you didn't create him through your own power?" Lorelai asked, curiously cocking her head to the side as she continued taking notes. "Or I suppose, more accurately, you don't actually know the answer to that question." Pacing around Cinder again, Lorelai nodded. "It would seem logical that he would need to feed from your psychic energy to sustain his own existence, but it's highly unlikely that you yourself would remain unaware of such a parasitic relationship."

Smiling widely and continuing to nod at her own explanations of the situation, Lorelai kept writing down notes. After several moments, seeming satisfied with the preliminary data collection, she extended her hand once again toward Shawn. "Excuse me, I haven't even introduced myself," she said, smiling. "My name is Lorelai."

Still a bit in shock, Shawn meekly shakes Lorelai's hand again with a nod.

"Er, yes, I couldn't tell you much I'm afraid. And I doubt Cinder would be willing to talk either. He may be annoying sometimes, but I don't think he's a parasite."

He starts to clean up some of his books, packing them in away in his school bag so they're not in the way.

"My name's Shawn, by the way. Nice to meet you. I'm relatively new here, you see, and I figured I'd do some studying out here while it's nice. I take it you go to school here too, huh?"

"Me?" Lorelai asked Shawn, pointing to herself with a sort of bemused grin. "Well, I suppose you might say that. I attend classes when the mood strikes me, although I don't really think this school has much to teach me..." she said, yawning a little and glancing around almost disdainfully. "I learned everything I'll ever need to know long before I ever came here. I suppose you could say my situation is more like an internship. I do my research in the science and technology building," she explained, pointing a finger in the direction of the Asura Labs. "It's nice having all that free time to work on my experiments, not having to worry about attendance or exams or any of that sort of thing."
