More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

Valhalla's Head of Security new a few things for certain. It was foolish to think that they have not been detected considering what the egg is capable of and Alexavier for that matter. Going into the Shadow Realm will allow for some protection but not complete considering the egg could use her power to detect them. At least it's something. With Theonis, they sank into the shadows and watched the egg from the shadows. She started thinking about a possible plan of attack considering they already know they are there, catching the egg off guard wasn't an option.

"So...you got any popcorn?" Alexavier asked.

The loud beating of the heart stopped and for a moment everything stood still. Then suddenly a bright light erupted and the shell exploded, scattering pieces across the room. It simply could no longer contain the amount of power inside of it. The light shrunk and faded slowly. Where the egg was now stood a person. Not a Meta, it had surpassed that state. Now....it was something more. It's figure was lean and slim. It's face was androgynous with piercing crystal blue eyes so it was hard to see if it was a man or woman. Regardless it was beautiful. The waist length hair was snow white. It's body did not show any genitals. Softly it rose to it's full length which was no more than the average. Taking breath for the first time it became aware of itself. It was alive.

"Quite the light show" Alexavier thought to Annie.

"Well..that's...well..." Theonis said at a lack of words.

Annie rolled her eyes at the popcorn comment from Alexavier, before closing her eyes and focusing on pinpointing the liquid in the immediate area. Upon hearing the loud beating of a heart she opened her eyes to witness the egg's hatching. The person was stunning, to the point the petty side of Annie was jealous. Her more practical side, was slightly relieved when she realized the person had liquid coursing through its veins-in theory if she had to attack that should make her life easier.

As she waited for its next move she heard Alexavier's thoughts about it being 'quite the light show'. She smiled some and thought wryly, Next up we get to see if Gidget and the boy was right or we get to be lucky and make a new friend.

Trinity watched as the egg hatched and as the light engulfed the room. Their view of the surface was sealed briefly since the light dismissed what existing shadows there were. As the light faded the shadows of the room returned and they could see what came out of the egg.

Trinity wanted to see if Annie could get a reading on it. She sent a text to Gidget, if things end up going for the worst she should have as much time to prepare as she could have. She paused a moment in thought, she was going to attack it but would a plan for attack be necessary? Especially if what Annie is hoping is true. There was was no use in waiting in the Shadow Realm much longer since Alexavier and and Annie currently have a similar goal in mind might as well join them.

"We're joining the others." they emerged from Annie's and Alexavier's shadow. "Hi." she said softly not wanting to spook them well Annie more likely since Alexavier would know they were there as soon as they surface.

Gidget waited for the others to leave before answering Ako. "Please stay...I honestly don't know if they'll make it back..."

The walk back to the lab was silent and awkward for her. She imaged it was just as much so for Ako. Over the last week she got to know him a lot better than she had ever. She could tell when he was at a loss for words, which seemed to be often. She didn't fault him for it. She figured it came about while he was on the road alone.

After removing the suit and slumping into her chair, she put her elbows on her knees and cradled her head in her hands. "Do you think I'm crazy?"she asked.

Damien's eyes snapped open the moment the being emerged from the egg. His small hands gripped Cassandra's shirt until their knuckles were white. He whispered, "It's too late."

Annie nodded at Trinity's greeting and said, "I see you two finally join us..." Her attention was mostly on the figure who had emerged from the egg. She clenched her fist when she realized that she couldn't get a reading of the figure's aura. Either it was so neutral that she couldn't decide if it was good or not, or it was a side effect of it being apparently different than other humans or metas she had encountered.

Taking a deep breath she stepped forward and put on an unsure smile as she approached the figure who had emerged from the egg.

Silence was usually welcome to Ako, but with Gidget, it worried him. He would have held her hand during the walk back, but again, he didn't know what she could feel through the suit. Instead, he made sure to stay close to her, their arms touching occasionally.

Back in her lab, he only separated from her while she changed, and leaned against a table near her chair when she sat. Her question worried him more, but he understood her concern. "I'm not the one to ask," he said, "I'm not so sure I'm sane, myself."

He knew that wasn't a good enough answer, and continued. "You've gone through a lot in the past decade or so, especially in these past weeks. I'd be more worried if you acted normal after all that. As cliche as it sounds, you just need some rest. More than just a week's worth. Trinity and the rest of the staff can take care of Valhalla, and this... Egg...thing. I'll help them if I need to, but you need time away, to let your mind reset, to get back to normal. As normal as a girl who builds robots can be."

The being was examining his surroundings with big innocent eyes. It tried to turn but when it moved it's foot it became aware of the ground. To it the cold floor was a new sensation. Everything was new for it. It gave its feet a puzzled look. It realized that you could feel by touching. It grew a smile as it began to touch his face. The soft texture of it's hair was a whole new feeling. In turn his smile made him aware of his mouth. Which followed by examining it. Everything was so new to it, it became oblivious to everything around it.

"It's like he's a newborn child. But...without the crying" Theonis hesitantly said. He might sound hesitant but he was ready to attack. "Be careful Annie.

Cassandra stroked the boys hair. She stopped her lullaby. "It will be alright. Nothing will happen to you. We will keep you safe" Cassandra said with a comforting tone.

Annie would have rolled her eyes at Theonis's comment, but she was too focused on trying to be warm and welcoming- friendly, non-threatening. Keeping her small smile she reached a hand out to the being when she got close. Making a small cough she said, "Excuse me, my name is Annabella. I can be a friend."

The being cocked it's head a bit. This woman was talking to it. It needed communication. Though she smiled and spoke friend it held no meaning to it. It simply did not know the meaning of those words. It extended its hand and smiled to mimic Annie. The moment he touched her vocabulary was copied to it's own non-existent one. That did not mean it knew how to use it flawlessly yet.

It's voice sounded strange since it was the first time it used them properly.

"Annie....friend?"

"I can be," Annie clarified with a smile. Not knowing how much understanding it had, she still continued. "A lot of people are worried about you... what you might be... and more specifically what you can do. Some people want to kill you. But, I don't want that. You deserve a chance to prove yourself...."

She took a deep breath and said, "You mimicked my power before you uh- hatched... Can you still do that?"

It couldn't communicate as it wished. It needed more information. The being absorbed more knowledge from Annie. Meanings of words. An understanding. The being was silent for a short moment. Now it had a full understanding of words and the correct emotional state behind them.

It frowned. The woman's words were twisted. If she did not wanted to kill it why did she strike at it.

"You speak of not wanting to kill me yet you were the second to strike at me without hesitation." A tendril of acid struck the ground beside her." But I forgive you for that." It calmly said.

"Well isn't that nice of him?" Alexavier joked as he always did.

Annie chuckled at it's words, not even flinching at the tendril of acid that struck the ground beside her: acid had not burned her since she had acquired her ability to turn into liquid. "That may be true, but it isn't anything personal," she said with a shrug. "The fact of the matter is I do not want to kill anyone. And I would consider that more of a warning strike than a strike to kill."

Gidget stood up and shuffled over to Ako. She laid the side of her head against his chest. "You're so good to me. I don't deserve you."

Her phone buzzed again and again in her pocket. She knew it was probably Trinity wanting to let her know that they had found the thing. If they had been in trouble she would have come back with her powers. Gidget thought about reading the message for a moment, then closed her eyes and sighed softly as she heard Ako's heartbeat.

Damien wasn't so sure. What he was sure of was the small person from the hospital room following them.

"Mama, the little boy from earlier is following us. I think he wants tto talk."

Trinity smiled at Theonis' comment Well he's not far off.., She wanted to be the first to approach the being but Annie beat her to the punch. It was for the best though considering that she was the first to attack the egg. She watched as Annie handled the situation then raised a brow as it pointed out it was able to remember that she attacked it and remembered how to use her power. This means it probably remembered just as much about her and her power. She rubbed her head and started to wonder if she should have attacked it.
