Surion looked over cautiosly at Snow. He almost nodded to her as if to proceed. Surion was on his guard, incase Kiko tried anything on him he would dash away. He was almost worried about Snow telling Kiko. His spine had a tingly feeling as he sat in the tree awaiting Kiko's response to what Snow was about to say. It was almost wierd that Surion a little afriad of Kiko, but if he had to fight so be it, Snow deserved to know the truth.

Ame walked slowly into the courtyard as she stretched slightly. She looked around her ocean blue eyes glimmering in the sun. She thought to herself and had on a gentle smile. 'Ihavent been here in awhile...' She walked to a seat and sat down as she pulled out a book and began to read silently.

She smiled and looked at the sky again her eyes shinging in the light. She touched her heart softly and looked at the floor. Her face expression looked a bit sad for some reason then she faced her. "I want to find someone who loves meh not for a spell and its not true to my heart...." She bit her lower lip and looked at the sky again her long hair flowing in the wind. "I mean i want to find that special someone and not really rush into a relationship i mean it never lasts ...you know?" She felt weird for saying that because todays generation was all about one thing lately and one thing on their mind.

Late in the evening, Hikaru was enjoying a leisurely stroll through the north courtyard of the campus. Her expression was somewhat devoid of her usual level of joyful enthusiasm, and she seemed somewhat lost in thought, staring somewhat blankly into the cloudy night sky as she made her way through the campus grounds. Anyone who knew Hikaru well enough would know that something would have to really be bothering her for her to be wearing such an expression, as one of her best skills is pushing her insecurities aside and stubbornly fighting through anything that troubles her. The very fact that she was walking slowly instead of running would serve to evidence the same - even without her speed powers, she almost always sprinted from place to place. Stopping to sit at the fountain, she pulled her legs up, crossing them under her and leaning her elbows on her knees as she sat quietly, thinking.

Someone familiar could be seen walking through the courtyard, her arms wrapped around herself as she watched the sidewalk under her. It was Rayna, and she too looked as if she were lost in thought. But she was often lost in thought when she was alone(or thought she was alone, anyway), so it was hard to tell if she was in a bad mood or not. Or none at all, which occured from time to time. What Rayna often thought about was a mystery to almost everyone she knew. But somehow, Andi seemed to poke into her thoughts every now and then. But this time, that was exactly what Rayna was thinking about- how Andi could know what she was thinking.

Something about Rayna looked different. Her long, ruby red hair- which was once straight- was now in elegant, beautiful waves that if the moon was shining, it would make her hair shine with radiance. But there was no moon out tonight, so her hair did not shine. Her ears, which were once an orangish color, were now a dark shade of red, and the tips of them were dyed white. The same thing had been done with her tail. Her tail looked like it had been brushed, as well. Rayna's tail was usually messy, and she barely cared for it. All in all, Rayna looked...almost stunning.

All of a sudden, Rayna started humming somewhat of a child's nursery song. It sounded sad, yet it had a little cheerfulness in it. Rayna then opened her mouth, and began to sing the song, but it seemed to be in some odd, different language. She closed her eyes, swaying as she walked to the harmony. Rayna's voice was not the best- she knew this- but it was a very nice, somewhat hypnotizing voice, which seemed to entrance people who heard it. She tirled around, her fingertips brushing against the stone rim of thee fountain, so she could know where she was without having to open her eyes.

Hikaru, hearing Rayna's song, began humming along with the tune quietly once she'd heard a few bars, still half-zoning out as she stared into the sky. Once she realized what she was doing, however, she shook her head, snapping out of her little trance and looking over to where the music was coming from. Tilting her head to the side, she squinted a little as she stared at Rayna; Hikaru knew this girl looked familiar, but she had to keep watching for a few moments to confirm that it was who she thought it was - after all, Rayna usually looked a lot different. Finally, convinced she'd got it right after all, Hikaru managed her usual happy smile for a moment and called out to her friend.

"Hey Rayna!"
PostPosted: Thu Sep 14, 2006 6:40 pm
Rayna jumped when hearing Hikaru's voice, and whirled around to see who was calling her name, her long, red wavy hair whirling with her. Once she saw that it was Hikaru, she blinked and grinned, nearly hopping over to her friend. "Hiya, Hikaru!" she answered, wrapping her arms around the girl's neck. After a few moments of hugging Hikaru, she let go, taking a seat down on the cool, stone rim of the large fountain, letting her tail lay in her lap. She smiled, her fox ears twitching, the usual small, hoop earrings jingling with each other as they did.

"So go to see you!" she sighed, slumping her shoulders. She did miss Hikaru, and was worried that she hadn't seen her for a while. "I got my hair done. And my ears and tail dyed." she said, pointing to her ears, which twitched once more. She troked her smooth tail. "How've you been lately? I don't see you much anymore."

Hikaru's mood immediately brightened some when Rayna came cheerfully bouncing over to her, and she enthusiastically wrapped her arms around her friend in a hug. She smiled back at her friend, glad to have a little company. Friends were always the best medicine for scaring away bad feelings.

"Yeah, it looks really good!" she said, looking rather impressed with what Rayna had done with her appearance. "I hardly recognized you! What's the occasion?" 3nodding

The smile faded from Hikaru's face just slightly as Rayna asked how she was doing, however. Shaking her head and staring back up into the clouds, she sighed a little, shrugging her shoulders. "I... I dunno," she said after a short pause. "I've been thinkin' about some stuff lately, y'know? And I'm not really sure how I feel about it all yet."
PostPosted: Thu Sep 14, 2006 6:58 pm
Rayna turned pink, shrugging as she twirled a piece of her new, wavy hair. She looked flattered when Hikaru said that she looked good. "Thank you..." she said, smiling sheepishly as she returned to stroking her fox tail once more. "No, no occasion. I just thought...it was a time for a new look, is all." she said simply, shrugging again as she looked down to the rippling water of the fountain. She dipped a finger in, to find it colder than she thought. She immediately took it back out, wiping it on her jeans. The water left a dark streak on her jeans, but she didn't seem to mind.

Rayna then looked up to her friend, with a slightly concered look on her face. She placed a comforting hand on Hikaru's shoulder, smiling synpathetically. "Do you want to talk about it?" she asked her, patting her head with the same hand. She felt sort of motherly now, ever since Andi had come along. Rayna blinked, glancing down to her head as a thought struck her. 'Mother....Andi....of course! I'm such an idiot!' she thought to herself. 'She must hear my thoughts more than anyone else because she has that gene...but I can't read anyone else's thoughts. Why can she? HOW can she?'

Rayna then shook her head, looking back up to Hikaru and giving her her undivided attention.

Hikaru gave Rayna a bit of a questioning look as she seemed lost in thought for a moment, and she was about to say something before her friend seemed to shake it off, pre-empting her as she looked back up at her. Stretching a little, she shook her head and sighed again before starting to speak. "Eh... I dunno..." she started slowly. "It's, like, I've been training really hard to master my powers and stuff, right? But then, there's all these other people around who can do the same thing, and they say they're even better at it, and that you'll never be as good as them."

Folding her lips into a sort of angry pout, Hikaru clenched her fist for a moment. "Like all these demon and vampire kids running around! They're all like 'I've got super speed too, and you're just a human, so you'll never be as fast as me, even if you train for a hundred years!'" Her expression becoming even more visibly severe at this point, Hikaru began punching at the air angrily. "It makes me SO MAD! Like I just wanna hit them, right there!"

After a few moments of shadow-boxing, however, her shoulders drooped again, the glum expression returning. "But then sometimes, I think... what if they're right? What if I really will never get that good? Why do I even have this stupid power if it's just gonna be weaker than everybody else's?" She gave a sort of sad, resigned looking shrug at this, quieting down and waiting for her friend's reply.

There was a pause from Rayna as she took in Hikaru's words. She stared out towards the school, looking as if she were thinking of how to reply. "Is that all...?" she asked quietly, shaking her head. She turned to look over at Hikaru, a comforting smile on her face. She grabbed both of her shoulders and stared at her straight in the eye. "Hikaru, you know they're just cocky asses. Total emo cases who think the world revolves around them." she told her, a twinkle in her eye as she smirked. "And...so what if you're human? You're good already. You'll get better, I know it." she added, pulling her dear friend into a hug.

"Don't ever let people call you weak. You're strong and you bloody well know it." Rayna whispered in her ear, and pulled away, resting her hands in her lap. "It's like....When I was eight, and I was travelling. I went into this very big city. I had gone into it to get food...I think I got melon bread...no, I got banana nut..." she muttered, tapping her chin. It seemed oddly funny how Rayna was trying to remember such a small detail to a story with a completely different point to it. "No, it was melon bread. I got banana nut bread in another city...anyway, I had seen this arm wrestling contest going on in this restaurant, so I went to have a peek. And there was this big, muscular man sitting at a table. You know, the big, bulky kind with the bald head, tan skin, and mustache.." she trailed off, motioning her hands while describing the man.

"Anywho, he was challenging all sorts of guys to wrestle with him, and one after another, They were all beaten. But then, I went up, since he was giving away a small money prize to the winner. But the guy laughed at me, refusing to wrestle with me because he thought I was weak. But he did agree in the end. So, there we were, arm wrestling. I had actually put up a decent fight, which surprised him. And I was going to win. But once this guy saw this, he immediately kneed the bottom of the table, making his glass of beer fall to the ground and crash, to distract me. Once I was distracted, he slammed my arm down, and I lost." she paused, shaking her head. "When I tried telling people this, no one believed me, and I was forced to leave. But that night, I followed the guy home and took the money, and ran." She smiled ruefully at the last bit.

Hikaru stared blankly at Rayna as she tripped over the finer points of her story, her mind starting to wander a little near the middle as she wondered when her friend was going to start making a point. Once she got around to the part where she was actually arm wrestling with the mustache guy, though, she napped back to attention, nodding as she listened to the rest of the story. Once Rayna got to the end, Hikaru smiled broadly, letting out a laugh to match the size of her grin.

"Haha, that's awesome, Rayna!" she said, holding her sides as she continued laughing. "I can just see the look on that guy's face now!" Hikaru twisted her own face into a hilarious mock angry look, complete with overdramatic angry pouty fists clenched at her sides, her shoulders squared. Jumping down off the fountain, she stomped around in circles making low grumbling noises before collapsing back into a sitting position, laughing all over again.

"Thanks, Rayna," Hikaru finally said after she'd wiped a few stray tears from her eye that had begun to build up from laughing so hard. "You're right, those guys are just blowing a lot of hot air around! I know I can be even better than them, 'cause I can train three times as hard as any of them ever could!" She nodded confidently to herself at this, clenching a fist and grinning widely.
