Courtyard (South)

With an odd sense of understanding Arcaine thought over why he was there, and how to answer her question both ways. The result of this pondering was this, "I am not hear to attend the highschool classes, not quite...more to find the people here who my instinct has led me here to find. I've no memory...and this is the place that I've led myself to find it." he said this with a short shrug to fllow and looked around, his eyes moving back to her after catching the sight of the other person near Ashori. "...May I ask your name, and maybe if you've a reason for being here aswell...not that the second part matters?" he pulled his hands out of his pockets and folded them calmly across his chest as he waited for her reply. He was not sure whether he had answered her question the right way, but at the same time was unaware of the reason that he'd been sent there in the first place. He could not truly have been there just out of luck, his instincts surely had a reason...whatever it was would eventually matter...right?

Ashori blinked, watching the first male as he replied to her question. She stayed silent as she listened, taking in his words and thinking them over for a moment. Again, her eyes widened just for a second as he mentioned his lack of memories as well, but she allowed him to finish before saying anything. And by that time, he'd already asked another question so she replied to that, involving her similiarity in it. She watched for a couple seconds before giving a short nod of her head. "Ashori," she replied, in that same cold tone. "I don't remember my last name and I came here to try and figure something out. I'm trying to get somwhere, but I seem to have lost my memory as well. It was erased." Then she paused, staring a moment longer. "Your name is...?"

Akira watched as her fingers dipped into the electric water, smirking himself with a trace of devious intent. Dropping his gaze towards the black of glimmering fountain, he delicately pulled the leatherette glove off his fingers, revealing his long clawed fingers, slowly bringing it down to the water. He felt no anxiety whatsoever as the small sparks of dark electric waves jumped up to the tips of his cold hands.
With a short "humph", he submerged his hand almost instantly into the water. Cold electric pulses raced up his arm, causing him to whince a little. It was painful, yes indeed, but nothing really unbearable. A small smile of content rose to his face as he finally took his hand out of the water. The electricity was still playing in his hands, buzzing softly up his arm. He knew he was expecting something else, but compared to the so much pain he's gone through.. mere electricity, no matter how special, just didn't hurt him so much anymore.

Ashori turned, feeling a slight shift in the water that she still had her clawed fingertips submerged in. She stared flatly at the male now, watching as he stuck in his hand and then his arm. Her smirk grew very slightly when she saw him wince, and that seemed enough to satisfy her, for she turned away shortly after. Though, she really wished to add a sudden surge of energy into he fountain, she kept herself from doing so. If he tried again, she would though, for sure. Right now it was just the excess energy that sparked from her fingertips. Her mis-matched wings shifted against her bare back, for her dress was backless, as her tail curled around her waist, and then dipped into the water, flicking lazily behind her. Her other hand was set in her lap, lightly clutching at her dark blue dress as more black sparks leapt from her skin. Her red and blue eyes settled back upon the male with the gun once more, waiting impatiently for him to state his name.

Cracking his knuckles was enough to rid of the electricity, and they vanished instantly as he clenched his fist. He flexed his fingers slowly, sliding his glove back onto his hand. He sighed and closed his eyes, turning away himself, leaning back as he turned his face back up at the sun. Akira's curiosity was stronger now that it was when he first laid his eyes on the gates, there was more to this place than what he thought it seemed.. So many questions ran through his head, but none so far had been able to be heard through his elegant lips. He crossed his leg over the other, digging in his pocket and feeling for the metal pocket watch that's kept him wondering since forever.. he took it out and stared at its delicate, onyx features.

Akira looked over to the young woman with who started the electric current in the water, and then towards the other man in their presence. He made a sound of discontent, and at that, he stood up. His cloak waved smoothly to the wind behind him as he firmly marched off towards the setting sun. He decided it would be better to leave the two alone, for now, it told him he had to leave once more.. he didn't want these people involved for now.

Alice hugged her new books closely to her chest, it was still the start of her year and she was already loaded down with work, bookwork even! It wasn't her expectation to have so much written work.

Still, she needed a break, and the lovely Ria courtyard would make a perfect place to relax. After making her way to a comfortable looking seat under the shade of a tree, she laid her books down and seated herself beside them.

A sigh of relief escaped her. It had been a while since she was able to catch her breath and just think - who would think "learning gifts" was so tiresome?

Silmeria decides once again to make her presence known. Being at the school for some time now, she is still unsure of who she can talk to or where to be going. Training wasn't going so well and she felt very lonely. Once entering the courtyard, she sat back down beside her usual tree and watched all the people waling by and chatting with one another. She envied the lovers and those with friends. I wonder if I will have friends like that someday... she wondered as she continued to watch the people. She hoped that someone would at least come and say hello.

Arcaine continued to lean against the tree as Ashori and Akira interacted with each other and decided to answer her question once Akira started to look at his pocket watch. "Ashori? That's a nice name...mine is Arcaine, I've no memory of what my last name is either. If I did things would be so much easier." he said this with a short sigh that ended abruptly as he fiddled with his guns before securing them tight in their holsters. He kept his hat pushed down over his right eye and the shade from the place that the light was coming from now gave little more than his mouth any lighting. "So...what is it that you are trying to figure out?" he asked this with a curious tone that almost sounded forced. He had no idea what he was going to find here, and this girl was not one of the whats that he had thought he was going to find...he couldn't tell if it was better or worse yet.

Ashori blinked once and looked up at Arcaine, absently brushing aside the wave of black hair that had been covering the right side of her face. In doing so, she revealed that eye to be a bright red with a black slit down he middle, unlike the left, which was blue and regular looking. There was also a marking in black, looking somewhat like a jagged question mark, on her right cheek. She ignored all this though, simply giving a faint frown as he complemented her name. Was it really nice? She wasn't so sure, but she didn't say anything to object. If he wanted to complement her, then that was fine.

She folded her arms across her chest, black sparks still leaping from her hands as her tail remained dipped into the water, keeping the electric current flowing through it. She considered for a moment whether to reply or not, deciding in the end it didn't matter. He'd either no a way to help, or wouldn't. "I'm trying to get home," she said simply with a small shrug. "To a place many refer to as Hell."

Vesper popped out of the sky.
Vesper fell on her backside.
Vesper cursed a string of colorful words.

Vesper was a 15-year-old... thing... with green, scaely looking wings edged with gold and Vesper was very much a GIRL. Even if Vesper IS a boy's name.

Tossing her shoulder length locks of straight, amber-gold hair, Vesper turned her yellow-green eyes around the area. It was... big. And she was small. So... "Neh? Where ish dis place kyu?" She stood up, her thin, plated tail swishing. It was the same color as her wings, three feet long and spiked with something like a blade shaped scale plate. It sure looked purty though... purty, purty... purty-- hey, this must be like, some ancient civilization! Eh... except not so ancient. Maybe it was a modern one. Who knows? Old styles of architecture might be in style now... sorta. Except these didn't look like old architectural styles.

"Well, sounds like it is not the Hell known most widely then? I doubt I could find it for you, but if I retrieve my memory anytime soon then I may be able to...it all depends on when that happens I guess, for me at least." he said this and then shrugged as he looekd around. He wondered what was so familiar in a scent that he caught in a short breeze that went by. "Do you know anyone here?" he asked as his eyes left from the void over the courtyard back to her, the familiar scent he had caught leading to this question. He wondered if she would know anyone here from before she came, but he was pretty sure she should have already found someone to say that she 'knew' by now. She seemed to have been there for longer than he had, though that was probably a given with his just arriving not long before he had been noticed by her and this conversation started...maybe he was the first. That would not be so bad...it might be a little more odd though...

Ashori watched him quietly, shrugging as he replied. No real help at all, but she had expected as much... She let her gaze wander around the courtyard for a moment and then shift back to him at the fairly sudden question. She hesitated a moment, eyes narrowed upon him very slightly, and then gave another absent shrug. "I knew one person, but he left somewhere. And there's another, but he's an a**." Her tail flicked, sending a few drops of charged water sizzling into the grass, and then curled around her waist once more. Her arms remained folded across her chest as she looked up at Arcaine, still seated upon the edge of the fountain. "What about you? Or are you knew enough that I'm the first?" Even now, in casual conversation, her voice still held that soft hiss.

Shawn smiles slightly as Naomi talks a bit about flying. "I figured as much, it certainly looks enjoyable. But I'm sure most people who are afraid of heights can't fly on their own either, so maybe the fact that if they fell from a high place, they'd be in very real danger, puts a damper on the whole thing."

He pulls out a small book filled with mostly blank pages and starts to flip through it. "I've been on airplanes before, but I'm sure the experience isn't the same. But at least when you travel, you get to see interesting things." He holds out the book for her to see, some of the pages containing travel stickers of various countries and some hand-written notes in a small neat script.

Naomi nodded her head slowly as he spoke, blinking once. Airplanes? Those were those giant metal things that somehow flew, right? She'd had to make herself well aquainted with human machines, but it was still a little hard to keep track. "But with an airplane you're inside, right? So you can't feel the wind rushing past or anything!" She smiled to herself and leaned forward slightly, to better see the book he was holding up. Her head tilted to one side as her eyes scanned the page, noting all the pictures. "Have you been to these places?" she asked excitedly, pointing her finger towards one of the stickers.

Silmeria continued to watch everyone coming and going from the courtyard. She sighed again, seeing as though no one even noticed she was there. Perhaps coming here really WAS a bad idea. I am sure I can get some training somewhere, but it's so hard to train without other people. You can't tell strengths and weaknesses without someone to point them out for you... She thought as she watched more people coming and going.
