	Kerana's ears twitched irritated at the continued use of you two. It didn't seem to be so bad the first time but the continuous seem to translated into something else. Making fun out of something that isn't there. "That's it!" She stood up, her tail wagged side to side annoyed. "We are NOT a couple!". She head to the bottom of the steps her eyes glistened, "... and with the way things are in our culture...probably never will be..." she rushed upstairs

	Alejandro Inazuma Alejandro heard footsteps quickly coming up the stairs. He got up from the chair, put his weapons back, and slowly cracked open the door. He peaked out to see it was Kerana. "Just Kerana." He said as he let out a small, relieving sigh, and walked back to his seat. He scrummaged through his bag for a moment, then pulled out an old book, and started to read.

	Nova sighed and put down the menu."Kids...." "Trinity you mind ordering for me? Seems I need to fix something. Can't have this fall apart before it begins." He asked Trinity."I'll go get Alejandro as well. I require all of us here." Getting up, he went up the stairs. He saw Kerena closing the door of her room but needed to send Alejandro down first. Nova liked private conversations to remain private despite however innocent the content. Opening the door he spoke to Alejandro" Could you go down and join the others? I would like to have all of you present when we discuss our next move.Don't worry bout any hunters. They won't come back soon. Thank you" He left the door open and walked up to Kerena's room. 	Alec reaches out to her as she storms off. His mouth opens to say something, but no words come out. He exhales sharply and drops his forehead onto the table. A wounded moan creeps out of him as he places both of his hands on the back of his head like brackets to keep him glued to the table.

	Trinity watched as Kerana made her dramatic exit. She meerly shook her head, "Such a drama queen. I didn't mean anything by that. Where did all of that come from? It's not like I addressed you as a couple geesh". She shook her head walked to the bar tender and put in her order.

	Nova Blancke He left the door open and walked up to Kerena's room. Knocking on the door before opening it. If he had asked to enter she would most likely have said no thus it would take longer to get her to come down again. "Sorry for the intrusion Kerena. Did it bother you that much what we were just saying?" Kerana took out her handkerchief and whipped her eyes with it. "It didn't bother me at first." she admitted. "But when you guys continued to use it, it gave me the impression that you assume that we were a couple. If our people caught word of my having relations with my guardian they would shun us, exile us or even have us executed. My mom went through hardships herself when courting my dad. That came to an end when I was born, a spitting image of my mother they'd say. My parents would be more accepting if that were to happen. Yet at the same time they don't want me to go through the hardships they went through..." She sighed a little,"Poor Alec, he'd get so sensitive whenever I tried to find out what kind of girl he'd like. I hate to think how he reacted to all of this..."

	"From what I can tell the kind of girl he would like would be you." He sighed"I usually stay away from these kinds of things, clan rules and all because they just don't mix with me. I hate rules that tell you how to live you life. But I should stop talking about that. Afraid I might turn you into a rebel....ha..that already happened to someone else I know." "Your parents are just being protective like all parents are. They took that leap and think that you aren't ready for that. So let's just cross this bridge when we get there alright?" He said with a smile to comfort her a bit.

	Kerana couldn't get over what Nova said about the kind over Alec would like, "Me? What makes you say that? He had never made any indication that he was interested in me that way." she walked to the window. Her eyes slowly clearing. "He always looked out for me. I always thought he only saw me as a little sister. Like how I've seen him as an older brother...but I guess that's what the role does..." Kerana started to wonder what if Nova is right? Would she give him a chance? She knew he would take good care of her... But what about them? What about their families? She was certain that they would treat her parents even worse because they'd call her a 'terrible example' or a 'bad influence'. There was no way she could let that happen, no matter how much she would like to at least give him a chance.

	Rikki Tikki Travi Alec rolls his forehead back and forth on the table. His ears fold back against his head as he moans, "I had no idea she felt that way about me." He removes his hands and rolls his head in Trinity's direction, looking up at her. "She's been hiding it...like me...because of what can happen to us...to our families." "Look I'm sure it was just an emotional outburst and she was only mentioning that to strengthen her point...Did you want something to eat by the way?" Trinity didn't mean to sound insensitive but she didn't want the kid to believe there was something there that wasn't there and didn't not want him to get hurt.

	Alec raises his head and bites down on his thumbnail as he thinks. "No...no. She only gets like this when she has been keeping something to herself that she doesn't want to. Like, there was this one time at school that she saw someone do something they really weren't supposed to. She tried to keep it a secret because the other person was a friend of her friend. But it ate away at her until it just exploded. No...she is being sincere, and has been holding it in for a long time." He would know, he has only been guarding her since they were old enough to attend school.

	This reminded Trinity of how she was when she when she feelings for the one she served, the one she protected and how hurt she was when he introduced her to his love. Even after all they went through together she would always be seen as his protector, his captain of the guards, there were lines that were drawn an should not be crossed. She pounded her fist on the bar table and faced Alec point at him with her glowing eyes,"Know your place boy! Just as I knew mine!"

	Kerana nodded,"In a sense yes. Centuries ago, Alec's clan made a pact with the Great Wolf Spirit, Autolycus. Autolycus would grant a soul that would belong to a wolf during a ceremony shortly after birth. This is the source of their power. In return for their gift Autolycus requested that they use it to protect the fox kin. At the time the fox kin were on the brink of extinction and so from that point on every fox kin have been granted a wolf guardian since birth. In a sense, as far as formality is concerned, I'm his master. I never liked the title, I preferred to be on the same level. Others treat their guardians like scumb I couldn't see why. My mom treated her guardian as an equal, they killed her guardian when she was being ridiculed for being with a human. Part of protecting the fox kin is to make sure the species kept going. They backed off when I was born, relieved that I was pure Her eyes began to swell with tears,"I don't want to risk loosing him one way or another..." she turns and rushes to Nova's arms, crying into his shoulder "Oh Nova, I-I don't know what to do..."
