Courtyard (South)

Verin landed, and when he touched ground, more flowers grew and wilted. The hollow darkness never left his eyes; a look that made it seem like he was staring into your soul. His breaths were rasping hisses, and his eyes locked Biaksu's with their empty, penetrating gaze. With a wave of his hand and a simple incantation, "Tonashss harl, lassrinn pahntar lueth mechrola ussta mua..." came the words, the ground cracked and fissured toward Biaksu, and then opened up beneath him.

Seira took shelter behind a grove of trees. She could barely breath... trembling... why was all this happen? Make it stop!!! Wisp saw the distress on her young master’s face. Seira never took to confrontation well... she hated... fear it, especially after that... Would her soul ever be the same again. Seira curled up on the ground between the trees’ roots. She wanted it to stop.... she wanted to make it stop... she didn’t want to see it anymore! She laid there trembling as Wisp did her best to comfort her. Then... it occurred to her... Could it be possible? The street lights... Could she do it? She had never used her powers on such a wide scale before... if she could control them... reverse their energy... It may work, even just enough to give Biaksu time to escape... she had to try.
Focusing through her figure tips through the ground... the wires becoming one with her mind. She could sense them, feel them, they where a part of her... mind and soul. Wires exploded from the street lights surrounding Biaksu and Verin. Gushing out like rushing geysers they broke Biaksu’s fall and encircled Verin pulsating with energy. She didn’t know if it would work but just by chance by reversing their energy flow the light might be able to drain some energy from Verin... it might not work but... she prayed she hold out long enough to try.

The wires wrapped around Verin and drained only a small amount of the limitless power that was harbored within him. "Velven de' su'aco..." The air around Verin blew and twisted and then sliced through the wires as if the air was sharper than a sword. His attention turned to Seira as he easily traced the power's source to her. Verin held his hands out at his sides, muttering. "Xar'zith zaqhen..." The air around him now began to shimmer and large spikes of ice formed around him...all pointed at Seira. With a swift motion, he aimed both of his palms at Seira and the spires of ice shot forward toward her.

Wires shot up from the ground with such speed in a desperate attempt to block the icy projectiles. But... it was not enough to block all of them. Ice met flesh as two of the icy daggers lodge themselves into Seira’s body, one in her thigh and the other in her shoulder. She did not cry... did not utter a sound... she just stood there emotionless. Unbearable pain coursing through her body, her energy drained she had used her powers too fast... too much. Her body was going numb she couldn’t keep standing as she succumbed as she collapsed to the ground. It was too much... she could feel her consciousness slipping. Her blood dripping on the ground. Was she going to die just like her parents did so long ago she wonder in the corner of her mind then... everything went dark.

Verin held a hand above his head and a ball of dark red energy gathered. It was about the size of a basketball, but still had enormous power behind it. He lobbed it at Seira's unconscious form as the massive icicles melted. The sphere burned through the air, but just before it reached her, there was flurry of wind and white feathers and the ball was knocked off-course. It impacted a tree, and the tree burst in two. Standing in front of Seira was none other than Orthae. He looked behind himself at Seira, bleeding on the ground. I've got to get her out of here before she bleeds to death. Only four pints of blood in a human body and those wounds are oozing... Verin readied another sphere of energy and hurled it at Orthae and Seira. Orthae kneeled down, placed a hand on Seira, and called out...
"Mumbaro!"
And the two of them disappeared just as the energy ball struck, carving a crater into the ground with an explosion.

[Seira and Orthae are moving to the Northern Courtyard. But Verin is still there with Biaksu wink just so you know.]

Biaksu was shaken from his weak state. Surprisingly, he was still alive and almost unharmed. He rose from the strange wire that supported him in the vast crevace. He turned his head and saw Verin, still standing there. Biaksu knew he had to escape now, or face certain death. The only sanctuary would be in the halls of the high school. He steadily rose himself onto the normal ground, then he stood on his quivering legs. He fell to his knees from exaustion. "Dammit... I can't stand this amount of heat... I need to find Yuki and get that necklace back." He used what remaining strength he had and fled to the halls. His mind searched for all the places he could possibly find Yuki, but couldn't come up with a defined place. "I should get rest first..." Suddenly, Biaksu collapsed in the cold hallway.

Jinchu walked through the courtyard minding his own buisness when he saw what had happened to it. there were trees that were split in half and alot of other things that had happened. "What the?!" he said as he looked around to se if he could spot the person who had done this. " I wonder what happened to make it look like this." he mummbled as he went around walking. He had spotted a building but no people to his range of vision.

Mizuki walked into the Southern Courtyard, but what she saw wasn't what she expected. Gazing at the sight, the trees, the other damaged places, a horrified look crossed her face. She tried to say something, but no sound came out because of shock. After she regained a little bit of her cool, she tried again. "What on mother Earth happened here?!" Mizuki meant to ask herself, but accidentally asked a little too loud making it seem as if she was asking everyone in the courtyard. She clapped her hand over her mouth and walked over to one of the destroyed trees. Tapping the tree lightly and using her earth manipulation, she put a liitlle bit of life into it and watched it pull itself back together, standing taller then most of the trees in the courtyard.

Menacing, ragged breathing repeatedly broke the silence of the air as Verin beat his wings steadily to stay aloft high in the air. The feeling of magic or other supernatural force being weaved came to him. There was someone nearby. The source of the magic was easy to track, and was like a large red cloud to Verin's trained sight. He flapped his wings at a much slower pace, descending through the cloud layers and landed with nary a sound nearby the girl who had just patched up the tree he had destroyed a while ago. Not even needing to speak, he pointed a hand, palm first, at her. Around the girl's feet, the ground began to ice over and the frigid tomb began expanding upward around her...

Jin was walking around some more seeing people pass by him looking all around him." How can they be so calm?" he said looking at every single one of them except by the trees. He walked by the trees and saw two people one was touching a tree the other was behind the girl spreading ice around her. As silent as he could be he ran up behind the male and aimed a kick at his back.

A wall of earth formed behind Verin before the stranger's foot could land a hit, blocking any attempt of attack. Without looking back, eyes focused on the girl, he pressed his other hand against the wall behind him and his lips moved, speaking wordlessly. On the other side of the wall, large earthen spikes jutted outward at the man...

Jin dodged a few of the spiked pillars jutting forward at him not trying to use alot of energy so he could have some to fight this man but he did get cuts on him as well. Jumping back he yelled to the girl." Look out behind you!" he then dashed foreward jumping over the wall and landing on the other side of it looking at the man and the woman." You better not hurt anyone man or I will make it my misson in life to destroy you."

Verin began...laughing. A hollow, soulless laugh that seemed to suck away all the happiness in his immediate vicinity. It made the air chill to the very touch, and the lifelessness in his eyes only made it all the more eerie. Clearly this...boy...didn't know that he had already, or would have, killed a young girl, had Orthae not stepped in. And now this mere child thought he could dispose of him? The ancient power occupying his mind presently found that incredibly amusing. The earthen wall behind him crumbled to dust, and the ice melted away. Verin would make this fight last. He wanted it to be...fun. Holding his hand out to the side, he spoke. "Invoke Maelthra Killian..." Dark wisps of smoke swirled around his hand and formed into the silhouette of a deadly looking sword. The dark smoke finished gathering and then burst outward, dissipating. Where the smoke had been, Verin now held a vicious sword with a blade made of an ebony metal. The sword radiated a dark aura that lusted for blood and battle. Verin's laugh faded, echoing eerily through the air. He raised the sword and struck the ground, unleashing a dark and powerful shockwave that tore up the earth as it roared toward them...
