[Celestial Lullaby]

"If you say so." Matt still knew it was custom made, but if she didn't want to think like that, well that wss her problem. Matt was a little put out that she moved away from him, bit then Etty climbed into the tree. Matt smiled broadly, bending his other knee and placing his other arm on it. He then looked up again at Etty. "Pity you're not wearing a skirt..."

Coletta darkened a little bit after Hideki told her it would be nice. Well it was, if he acted like a real brother. It was more she was a younger cousin that he was being forced to take care of because she cried after someone took away her lollipop. There was no spare attention for her, no affention, just exasperation and annoyment.

Coletta unconsiouly wrapped her arms about her self, feeling once again how cold her life was, how there was really no one who cared enough for her to be there. Shadows slowly crept up her feet, swarming over her until they subsided, once more they had altered her clothing.

She was now wearing a thick black turtle neck sweater that covered all of her torso up until the top joints of her fingers and bunched so much at her hips that it could obviouisly reach mid-thigh easily. She had on dark jeans and black sneakers with white accents. Her hair was in two long pigtails, tied by two separate ribbons. There was only a thin line of eyeliner around her yellow-grey eyes and light red lipstick on her lips.

Hideki froze, staring at Coletta in a sort of alarm. "Are you....? I'm sorry." He wasn't sure what he'd said wrong. He just assumed their relationship was pretty good. But then again, she had just kicked him in the face a bit before. He frowned, biting his lip with a long, white fang as he rocked from side to side a couple times. His tail was no longer wagging either and instead just laying limp on the bench beside him. He leaned back a bit when the shadow once more crept up, again subsiding to show she'd changed.

He frowned to himself, hesitated a second, and then leaned forward. Once more, his arms wrapped lightly around her, so if she wanted she could shove him away. He wouldn't protest, and he half expected her to do so since he'd said something wrong by accident. Why would she want comfort from the person who'd bothered her in the first place? "I'm sorry," he mumbled again, still a bit confused. Her mood had finally improved, and he'd managed to shatter it again. He hugged her gently, closing his eyes and feeling absolutely horrible.

Etty heard his comment and glared down at him.He was so strange.Why did his mood constantly change?..Was he bi-polar?No, he kept switching between two personalities not constantly changing his feelings."Bicho raro..."Etty responded in a calm tone as she turned her compass over many times.Looking down, Etty spotted her bag.She had previosly placed a metal plate in it so easy for here to move.Swishing her hand to one side, the metal responded as if to a magnet and swept across the grass positioning itself next to Matt, it was already open so she didn't have to worry about that.Put her arm out to the side, her palm opened and her compass quickly fell, aiming to land in the soft pile of her clothes.

Etty knew if there was no interference it would land saftly so she didn't bother to watch.After afew seconds, she swished her hand once more, making the bag go back to its orginal place.She figured the compass had landed in the bag and was now with her things.Since she hadn't checked, it could of missed and landed on the ground...but for some reason she didn't have the common sense to look!

Giving a sigh Etty leaned back farther and let her leg fall to the side, swinging it lightly.She was becoming bored.Many thoughts ran through her head trying to figure out what to do, what to say, when to do it, etc.Still her mind was completely blank.

Matt held out his hand, the compass falling neatly in to his hand. he pocketed it quickly, planning to show it to his sister. After being isolated for 6 years she had read every book in their extensive library, she was bound to know something about the compass. Matt simply wanted to help Etty, though teasing her in the process was an added bonus.

Coletta felt Hideki's arms around her, and it was such a welcome feeling that she almost thought she would have cried if she had tear duckts. Cole leaned in to Hideki's warmth, pushing a little harder then necessary. Coletta was in awe of this being. He was so untroubled, troubled over insignificant problems and always worried about others. Yet he was always so warm.. so warm and welcoming. What was the word? Comforting.. yes that was it.

Coletta closed her eyes, timidly raising a hand and letting it rest on Hideki's chest, embracing him back in her own, small and dependant way. She tried to keep herself from trembling, it was a disorder she had developped during her dad's abuse. She tended to get cold, almost frozent to the touch, and trembled like a doe on new legs.

Coletta murmerd into her friend's shirt quietly, "don't be sorry, you didn't do anything. It just hurts.." Coletta didn't specify where, if it was her scars, emotional or physical, or simply her heart turning to stone, it still hurt. She couldn't stop herself, she began to tremble, resembling a delicate fall leaf trembling in the wind, trying to decide between falling to the ground or hanging on for dear life.

Matt noticed his sister embracing Hideki. He was jealous, but not because he wanted to hug his sister, he wanted to toy with her apparent boyfriend. Oh well, maybe the lad would be brave enough to do his sister, maybe then she would loosen up a bit.

Hideki remained completely silent and still, secretly glad he hadn't been pushed away. He had a strange thought that if he didn't comfort her, then no one would. And if she'd pushed him away, then she'd be alone again. He had gathered this from what he'd found so far, but wasn't entirely sure. He definitely wasn't going to say anything about it aloud.

His eyes opened again as she spoke, mentioning something hurt. He blinked, looking worried. "Where?" he asked quietly, still holding her gently. "I can heal, if you need me too..." He meant this literaly. He actually had the power to heal injuries or wounds, anything from a cut to a shattered bone, though the latter took longer and more effort.

He pulled back slightly, just enough that he could see her face a little more clearly, but was still holding her comfortingly. He didn't plan on letting go until she made him, or he finally grew embarassed. Though, that wasn't likely to happen anytime soon. He was thinking of making her feel better, and nothing more. His mind didn't wander towards anything odd, so he didn't feel awkward either.

Coletta shook her head and burrowed into him more, she didn't wnat to show him her scar from that time. It was already healed, the glass long removed. It was just like when a person lost a limb, sometimes they still felt pain from an area that no longer existed.

Coletta was still concentrating on controlling her trembling, trying to ignore what normally followed. It was a mental condition, her doctor had said. An attack could go off anytime and would normally ensue by first making her cold, inside and out, then she would tremble, then she would go completely still and her mind would go blank for about 30 seconds. After that she would forget what had happened the last couple hours and be completely normal.

Cole felt like she could surrender to the attack, if Hideki was holding her, but then she remembered that she would forget.. everything. Slowly she pulled away, feeling the distance come between them, the coldness rush back at her. Then slowly she summoned a cocoon of shadows to hide her as she moved to the far end of the bush.

Immensly uncomfortable in her current condition, Cole finally felt it reaching it's last stages. She scrambled to grab a piece of consiousness to her chest, holding it there as she slowly froze in place, her eyes turning glassy. However, she never stopped thinking, she whispered over and over to herself, S'il vous plait, je ne veux pas oublier. After a bout a minute, she came back, still holding that thread of thought.

Cole slowly quizzed herself, still in her cocoon. "Matt, Etty, Curran, Hideki, All here, All aquantainces, at Ria High School, in courtyard." Coletta then ipened her eyes and collapsed the walls of darkness. She looked around again, confirming her placement and her memories.

Coletta then turned to Hideki, a grin as wide as the solar system on her face, her eyes sparkling in pure delight. She had conquered an attack! Cole was so happy that she threw herself at Hideki, hugging him tightly, just to confirm he was real. She hoped he didn't need an explanation.. that would make her tell him that she had suffered severe trauma, but she was just so happy right now she wanted someone to celebrate with.

Hideki held her more closely as he felt her lean more into him, still a bit confused. But she'd shaken her head, so he assumed she was fine. Or rather, he just hoped that she was. He blinked as she began pulled away but simply allowed it. He didn't want to scare her by refusing to let go or something.

So he watched her silently, confused, as she retreated to the far side of the bench and sat there. Then she seemed to freeze, her eyes looking somewhat odd. Hideki leaned slightly towards her, worried again. He shot a questioning glance towards Matt before turning back to Coletta, wondering what was going on.

Only about a minute passed, but it felt like a lot longer. He was barely holding back the urge to wave his hand in front of her face, or poke her lightly in the side to see what she was doing. Lost in thought perhaps? But she didn't have to move all the way over there... He pouted slightly, but instantly snapped out of it as she began talking to herself, mumbling all of their names.

He didn't know who Curran was, he but knew the other three, since one was himself. She then went on to announce where they were, only adding to his confusion. And, to top it all off, she ended with a huge grin and then pretty much tackled him into another hug. He froze, eyes wide, and then slowly wrapped his arms around her again. "Okaaay..." he grinned to himself, shaking his head in amusement. He really had no idea what was going on, but decided it didn't matter. She seemed to be in a good mood again.

Matt had watched Coletta go through one of her attacks, barely intersted. It only happened like once a week and it's not like it was life threathning. He was slightly dissapointed when she moved to the other side of then bench, it would have been funny if she had forgotten it all only to come around in some boy's arms. As he noticed that she remembered it all, Matt raised his eyebrow, but shrugged, more intersted in the squirrel that came over to eat a nut nearby. At this rate maybe Cole would end up doing Hideki..

Coletta waited expectantly for a couple minutes until she confirmed that he wouldn't ask her. This only served to make her happier. Coletta straigtened up and got on her knees, raising herself until she could reach Hideki's cheek. There she kissed him gently in a friendly manner, feeling like the luckiest person in the world for having such an amzing friend.

If it was going to be like this, I would have gone outside more! Cole smiled and once again nuzzled Hideki, refusing to leave his warmth again. Even if I'm being selfish, I just want to be warm Once again, cole decided to try talking, something she wasn't used to yet.

"So Hideki, What can you do? I mean this is a school for the talented and everything.. Obviously I can control shadow, I also have the power of insinuation, but I don't know what you do."

Hideki loosened his hold upon her as she shifted, leaning up to reach him. At first he didn't know what she was doing, but then ended up closing his eye as she kissed the cheek below it. He just smiled very faintly to himself though, suddenly recalling the glare he'd given her earlier. Hopefully whatever had caused that had been forgiven, though he still had no idea what it was for. Her certainly wasn't going to be bringing it up now.

Then she began snuggling into him again, and he laughed quietly to himself as his hold tightening around her once more. His tail was wagging again, very quickly against his side. When she asked about his powers, he simply grinned. "Healing," he replied simply, with a hint of proudness in his tone. "If someone's hurt, I can fix them."

Then he paused, glancing to his tail and then back to her. His grin widened, showing off the long, white canines. "And... I can transform into a wolf. A really big one." He gave one short nod of his head, confirming this as true. It was actually what had caused him so much trouble. If he hadn't transformed, he might still be living with his first family. But then again, he really didn't mind being able to turn into a wolf at all.

He'd actually gotten a few free meals from it, though he felt a little embarassed to admit that. And he honestly really liked it when someone scratched behind his ears, but wouldn't admit to that either. Howling at the moon was really fun as well. The only real downside was that he couldn't talk in that form. Well, that and his lack of thumbs.

"A big wolf?" Cole's eyes were shining, she had always liked animals, they were so uncomplicated.. sort of like Hideki. Coletta then thought to herself for a bit. "Would I be able to ride on your back? I'm really small! And I don't weigh much! I'm not allowed to.. you know, being a ballerina and all.."

Hope shone in Cole's eyes. She knew it was unreasonable, but she had never been allowed to ride the family's horses, but a wolf would be even better! "Healing is pretty great too. My doctor was always really great with me, I'm glad that there are so many people that can fix people's phsical problems!"

Coletta couldn't remember ever being so happy.. actually, she couldn't ever remember happy. Cole was beginning to dread the moment that Hideki would let go of her.. he was like an addictive drug.. but she couldn't decide if it was a healthy on or not.

Matt streched out his long limbs, then decided to leave the two lovebirds alone, maybe they'd get into something if there wasn't an audience. Besides, he was itching for a bath, it had been a long ride here and he wasn't about to go a day without cleaning himself up.

Matt touched a finger to the tree and slowly a message in ice began to form infront of Etty, "I'm going to the hotsprings, you're welcome to follow." Matt winked up at the woman then began to walk casually over in the direction that the springs were supposed to be.

Hideki blinked once, his eyes widening slightly before he let out another chuckle. "I... guess you could," he grinned, rubbing the back of the head. No one had ever asked if they could ride on his back before. Then again, no one had really talked to him much before either. He shook his head and laughed to himself as he heard her continue talking, this time about her doctor. He kept himself from lingering upon that thought though, not wanting to ruin her mood again. She suddenly seemed even happier than ever.

So his grin grew broader as he squeezed her gently, tightening his hold just for a moment. She was so little... and she looked so hopeful. There was no real reason at all to keep her from riding on his back, so he decided he wouldn't protest. "Would you like to try now, or later?" he asked playfully, sticking out his tongue.

Halcón wandered the school for some time, and eventually decided that Ananda had gone off-campus. She wasn't anywhere to be found. He stopped in the courtyard, staying well away from the other people at the school. From here, he would be able to see Ananda if she went past, but he could rest and think as well. After a moment of standing there, he walked over to a tree and pulled himself up into it. Perfect. From here, I can see, but she won't be able to see me. Which is just the way I want things, at least for now. He frowned behind the curtain of his hair. I don't really want to hurt little sister...but Father said come home with her dead or alive, or don't come home at all. And much as I dislike our family, I don't think this 'school' thing is much better.

Cole's eyes grew wide at Hideki's statement. She raised herself on her knees, placing both hands on his chest and looking up at his face, such a childlike expression spread on her face. "Really? Right now?! Oh Please, can we?!" Coletta was unconsious that she began to bounce up and down a little bit.

Coletta had never ever gotten to ride on anything other than in a car and she always acted like a child when pleasent new things were introduced to her. Cole got off the bench, barely noticing that she left Hideki's arms to begin bouoncing up and down, clapping her hands and almost squealing in anticipation. With her height, she looked unbelievably like a little 10 year old girl.

Cole once more summoned the shadows to change. She ended up wearing black tight pants and a yellow T-shirt. She had riding boots on coming up to her calves. Her hair was up in a pony, left to fall down gently to her lower back. Excited, Coletta did a tiny spin for Hideki, then sat down and waited attentively to see him transform, grinning like an idiot.

Hideki blinked a couple times, looking down at her. Then he laughed, shaking his head in amusement as he set his hand upon her head. "Alright, love, just a second," he grinned. Now she's the one acting adorable, he thought to himself with a small chuckle, recalling their words from a few moments ago.

He watched as her clothes changed, eyes widening a bit in surprise again as they did. He didn't think he'd ever get used to that. It was really cool though. He waited until she'd backed away and then stood to his full height, which happened to be six feet, and then crouched in front of her. "Ready?" he asked, sticking out his tongue.

A second later, he began changing. His fingers shortened, fingernails shifting into claws, and the same with his feet. His shoes actually seemed to disappear entirely. While this was happening, a faint glow began overtaking him, growing brighter by the second. Then it suddenly vanished, and in Hideki's place, sat a huge wolf with dusty brown fur and golden eyes.

It was still crouched, tongue hanging out, like Hideki had been just moments before. Then it straightened, and he took a step closer to Coletta before laying down on his stomach so it'd be easier for her to scramble to his back. He wasn't entirely sure how this would work, since he'd never done it before, but he guessed they'd figure it out as they went.
