More Meteor Showers Bring Even Stranger Powers. (O/A)

"Apathy towards your own life. And I thought I was the broken one.Well not like I should complain. I would not be here today had you not showed them the results of ...juicing. It will become just another 'what if' scenario." Alexavier replied with a sigh. Abruptly he turned his head to his left.

"You might not have a say in the matter." Alexavier grew a grin." Someone contacted Daedelus. A fine skin-tight bodysuit does tend to draw attention."

Annie shook her head and smiled faintly, "That is almost amusing. Besides, you might have forgotten but I can turn into liquid at will. I am a master at getting out of a tight situation. The only reason they had me in the first place was because I came to them willingly. I wanted a place where I felt I wouldn't be a danger to others. And of course they wouldn't have turned down one of the prototypes to the juicing experiment. I probably won't have to even fight them if they came after me."

She frowned and added, "However, running is a nuiscance... I wonder if I took out enough Daedalus agents they would get it through their thick skulls that I'm not interested in- who's the person in charge of my case now since Berchant is dead? They probably reassigned the problem...."
 

[Nova Blancke]

"Awww you're so cute when you talk about killing people." Alexavier laughed. "Well, we could wait for them and catch them off-guard or just ya know..take the fight to them."

Annie rolled her eyes before saying quite seriously, "You are a bad influence. A very bad influence. And, I have a feeling you think I'm attractive regardless of what I am talking about. Too bad for you I always preferred older dates."  

[Nova Blancke]

"Maybe I do, maybe I don't. I'm not quite sure myself." Alexavier replied in the same happy tone.

"I think they are about to be mobilized, so what's the plan?"

"If it was just me, I would probably just wait around see if I see any old faces... call it morbid curiosity. However, if you are here they will probably want to round you up to. We should avoid a blood bath," Annie sighed tapping a finger to her cheek as she thought. "If I knew who was leading the mobilization I might call them up and say hi. Of course they would track the phone call, but I do have family that could be placed in danger as a ploy to get back at me. Meh... I'll wait it out: see what exactly they want and then disappear. I would suggest you leave now and head back to Valhalla so you won't get involved in my affairs. You don't have as easy of an escape ability as I do, no offense."

" I find it funny that the only one who feared me was Shane. Well first encounter anyway. Second one he kinda got us. If, though I am sure they do, they know me then they will also know that they cannot get me back." Alexavier replied.

"And please, your kid is at Valhalla, pretty damn safe. Besides Cassandra wouldn't let anything happen to a child."

"I was actually talking about my father back home," Annie replied. "I'm not worried about Christian. He can alter the chemical compound of any liquid like I can, and can read emotions perfectly- even though he doesn't seem to know what to do with the information.... Regardless, don't take it personally that I don't fear you. I don't really fear anyone, at least not when it comes to my own welfare. Besides, you are on my side, why should I worry? Now Cassandra, that is someone who worries me."  

[Nova Blancke]

"Am I really?"

"Yeah she doesn't really like you. After all, you pushed us apart at the hotel. Bad blood I suppose."

Sirens were heard in the distance. Daedelus was rapidly approaching.

"That's my cue." He started walking down the street towards the sirens. He let out a sigh" It's been too long...."

"At least she likes my son, so I doubt she would take her dislike out on him," muttered Annie before glancing up to see Alexavier walking towards the sirens. She swore under her breath and jogged a few steps to catch up with him and she began lecturing him as she reached his side, "Shouldn't you be heading away from the sirens? Sirens means trouble. And in this case that is probably Daedalus. Daedalus is bad news in case you haven't forgotten... it is good to avoid bad things, you know."

"Then why aren't you heading the other way? You have a lot more bad experiences with Daedelus than me. You have designated yourself to be me babysitter. I do not need looking after so why do you? Are you merely looking after something that Shane saved or is it something else?"

The sirens got louder as they got closer.

Annie stopped midstep, surprised some at his questions. Recovering she replied, "I need to find out what Daedelus plans to do about me. When I escaped last time they didn't bother with trying to get me back. They had my son. They knew I would come back eventually. And, Dr. Berchant was- for a lack of a better description- kinder, more tolerant of me, than other doctors who had my case before him and other cases. Yes, I do know what Daedalus is capable of, and that is why I'm heading there to confront them," snapped Annie. "Because, now that they don't have a sure fire way to bait me in returning to them, I don't know what they will do to ensure my recapture."

"And, fine, I am following you too. But I don't plan to be your babysitter. I want to help you because of my guilt and more importantly-" She paused and turned her head. The sirens were less than a block away. She started to calculate the number of persons present based on volume of blood and liquid: she gave up around a hundred. "Just how many people did they send?!"

"Your selfish actions have led to me being alive. No need to feel guilty about that." Alexavier replied softly.

His grin returned quickly when she asked about how many they send." Over a hundred. Now I am not sure if they are looking for you, the second juicer or me, the one who had twice the amount of an improved version! Knowing them it's both."

The black vans entered sight and before they stopped completely the soldiers jumped out. Armed men and women. But Alexavier felt something different about. They didn't feel quite human but not Meta either. Extracting the information he needed from a soldier Alexavier knew what they really were.

"Hybrids. Not completely Meta but far superior to normal humans. I see...Daedelus has been busy lately!" Alexavier spoke calmly. In a sense he was amazed. Not tat it mattered to him. Just more for the mental grinder.

"They would have only needed to send about fifty people to deal with me," Annie muttered and then said with a smile, "or they would have before Cassandra's adopted son gave me a bit of a boost."

Glancing over at Alexavier, "Living beings have to have liquid to run... they will die regardless when they encounter my power." She glanced up at the sky, evaluating the weather and said with a smile, "Ah, and it is humid today... hmm... they really should have picked a better day to take me on."

She reached for control of the moisture in the air, her smile growing larger as she realized how vast her control now reached. Meanwhile, she raised her hands innocently and called out, "Good day! Can't we talk before we go through this whole attacking routine? I am a pacifist, after all; however, if provoked I do retaliate. Let's talk like civilized people."
